Kensei calmly walked through the courtyard gates in his newly pressed uniform and his swords tightly latched to his back and side in dark leather straps that are quite similar to gun holsters. He noticed the severe lack of friendly atmosphere that was commonplace amongst some of the other squads. But he wasn't here for that. He was there to join the most important division in Sereitei and to do the work that needed to be done to ensure that the enemies of the state could not follow through with the plans that could endanger Soul Society or the World of the Living before they can be can be carried out. The kinds of evil that nobody knows about until it is far too late and exposes Soul Society's existence to everyone. He will never get any glory with this squad, nor will he be looked highly upon by his pears. In this life, the most he could ever hope for would be for would be to die to save millions of lives in the process without anyone ever knowing who he was. That was the life of a ghost, a shadow. He snapped out of his morbid thought process to be greeted by the guards in the front of him. He simply nodded with a cold, confident stare as he passed them by. Inside he was nervous, but on the surface his hands were steady and his eyes icy. Like The eyes of a killer with no conscious.
Of course that wasn't the case, Kensei's heart was as hardened as he would have others believe. It was in his nature to always to what is right whenever possible. In stark contrast to his very nature, he can turn off his emotions to become the killer that everyone needs him to be. He then approached the captain's door as he noticed shadows shifting in the next room and the creaking in the sealing. Of course, they had security detail where most soul reapers wouldn't even think to look. As expected, Squad 2 puts stealth and guile into every possible situation. He started to slide open the door to her office when he noticed that she wasn't in at the moment. He felt it would be rude to walk into the captain's office unannounced, so he decided to wait outside the door for her to come back.
He then looked up at the ceiling and whispered
''So? Will she be back soon or will we be waiting for a while gentlemen?''
He didn't expect an answer. It would break the illusion that they aren't really watching him. He then leaned back on the door resting his eyes for a moment then watching the other squad mates pass him by. He then straightened his posture as he saw the captain approach he bowed in a gentlemanly fashion keeping his eyes on the captain of squad 2.
''Good Morning, Ma'am. I hope I am not too early for our meeting.''
He spoke clearly and confidently to her maintaining his icy stare.
