Kenshou knew it was about time that he brought in the remaining captains, the Gotei was once again going to change. It was time to finish the changes that he had started and to finally bring those under his command into the plan, nothing could stop the changes anymore save a full blown civil war and even that had been proven something that most did not want. Thanks to a certain Amai who now sat in a jail cell awaiting his sentence. Kenshou decided it would be time to visit and pass that sentence after his meeting today.
Quickly Kenshou grabbed a pen along with several pieces of paper. The parchment easily absorbed the ink as he hastily scribbled with large looped letters a single sentence. Each of the papers simply instructed the reader to assemble in the captains meeting hall. He folded each one and pulled out a candle. Sticking a match he felt the heat near his fingers as he lit the candle, before shaking the match in his hand. The flame going out and only the thing stream of smoke left behind, it left the smoky smell throughout his office. One each other the letters he dripped wax from the candle and then stamped the official seal of his office.
The first letter was for Kiriko, his right hand woman and potentially the most deadly Shinigami in all of the Gotei. He was quite sure that if it came down to it she could kill him, but he was not sure what that would end up costing her. Her threat level was quite underestimated by not only some of those in their own ranks, but probably among those who looked at and assessed the threat of the Gotei. None of that had been why he had chosen her as his sucessor, it had been a feeling. He had no way to explain it fully, but when he looked at her he knew that she would do what was right by the Gotei and not simply for herself. Something a few of his predecessors had managed to get wrong.
The second went to Tokiyo, captain of the third and probably the most proficient when it came to the demon arts. Most proficient of those in the Gotei, Kenshou had to remind himself. Somewhere out there Ai Miyazawa still existed and she had abilities that none had been able to rival. Maybe one day Tokiyo could bring himself to that level, but still he had some ways to go. That did not mean he was to be underestimated in any fashion. The man may even be the one to succeed Kiriko, none could match his current potential and through blood and sweat his name would leave its mark on the Gotei.
The third letter went out to Jasper, somehow the boy had managed to not get himself killed yet. It seemed to be his greatest strength. It was as if luck had taken a perverse love for him and wrapped herself around him. The boy seemed to just always scrap by and just come out on top. Maybe one day he would actually do his family proud and not need that luck to simply scrape by. Kenshou figured it would be around the same time everyone stopped calling him a boy and he became his own man and not simply known as the son of Junko Aizawa.
The fourth letter went to Kohara, the replacement for Umi. What could he say, the sixth had been a dismal disaster often just barely making it by with only a few exceptions. Probably a mistake in its inception but that had been done long before he would have had a say. Currently though Kohara seemed to be managing and not making things worse so at least there was that, but honestly there was not much to his name. Unlike the other captains he was relatively unknown and simply had replaced Umi.
That left the final letter was for the fourth divisions third seat. Hisui, a relatively reclusive individual who recently with the disappearance of Ezekiel was now left with running the fourth division was an odd choice as normally he would leave the representative out as it was only meant for captains, but seeing that this was no ordinary meeting it was better to give the fourth a say. It may affect the outcome to here such a perspective as one of the reclusive, but intellectual fourth divisions researchers.
Kenshou picked up all six letters and placed one in his own pocket while he walked to his door, opening it and calling out for one of the members in his division. He quickly handed off the letters and gave his instructions. As quickly as the man came he left and the letters would be delivered with instructions to follow what was contained in the letter immediately. There was no point in waiting or sitting on pleasantries. So far his plan had gone fine and now it was coming to a close, the Gotei would only be strengthened by these events. Kirishi had played her part well even if she had been unaware that he simply needed her to show that the threat by Tova had not been a fluke, that the reason he was the Captain Commander was because in the end he had brought her down. Kirishi and her sister being reduced to nothing in the end.
Now he waited for those captains to arrive, they would wait outside in the courtyard for a few minutes, but brought in by various members of the first. Kenshou smiled as he felt differently than he had only a few days ago, everything was so much better and what had happened was something he could only laugh at now. Quite a few people thought they knew a secret about him and yet now, the best they could do was accuse him and only be proven wrong. It was almost as if everything had finally decided to go his way after so much had gone wrong.
