D’gerik was glad he managed to answer Yuki’s questions before she gave up on him, as this meant he was getting used to their presence as time went on. He noticed Shadow’s purr, although ignored it as it only served to prove Yuki correct when she warned of the shade’s egotistical nature. Still, he apologized once more, disliking that he was so rude as to ignore those who were trying to communicate in order to assist him with his problem emotionally.
D’gerik knew for certain he wasn’t ready to reveal his past to this girl; not just yet. . . But she posed a question he could answer one which made his gaze to the outside of the cave turn to her almost instantly.
“That creature truly is terrifying… To cause you such fear… So strong… Will those spirits manifest on me if I go on a rampage someday”?
And D’gerik thought deep down. He knew exactly why those spirits haunted him so, and he knew what his mistake was. Turning his entire body towards Yuki, he explained with a serious look on his face;
“Yes, they can and will. That is, assuming you make the same mistake I did. . .”
He turned away once more and said
“When all you can think of is taking the lives of hundreds of individuals, do your best to remember that you need to finish the job. If you’re going to get revenge on your ex-family, show no mercy to them, living or dead. Do not hesitate to consume them, and don’t let them get away. . .”
He paused, turning back to look outside the cave. It happened to be at such an angle that the moon shined directly into the stone orifice and the light of the moon seemed to calm him so.
“Right now, they are too strong for me to finish what I started. However, I have made it my goal to get stronger. And when I do, I shall teach them the meaning of agony. I will show them what it means to cause me pain a second time!”
As he exclaimed this, Yuki might have been able to notice for just a split second that D’gerik was surrounded by a faint, purple aura. This aura, whether she realized it or not, would eventually be known to be his Reiatsu, fueled by his anger for just a slight moment. Perhaps a hidden ability he himself is not aware of yet? Regardless, only time can truly tell what is what. . . D’gerik would begin to speak one last time for the moment;
“Whilst I would much rather destroy them on my own, I will not stop you if you choose to intervene. That being said when the time comes for you to make your ex family pay, I will not intervene if you do not desire it. I believe we must all choose what our future will hold. For the sake of the new life we’ve been given a chance to live. . .”
