His hair is styled in a way where the tips of his hair are bit spiky yet his hair still lays down instead of standing straight up. His eyes are crimson red and what would normally be the whites of his eyes, the sclera, are oddly black instead.
Physical Description:
Wraith is a decently tall human male with an athletic runner's physique and decent muscle definition. He has a tanned and somewhat bronzed skin tone from spending a lot of time outdoors. He has a youthful face which while charming, makes him look just a bit younger than he actually is and is also just a tad bit effeminate. Being of mixed race his Asian and European features combine to give him quite a charming and gentlemanly countenance. He is quite good with his hands and ambidextrous to boot. Though he often favors his right hand and uses that for mostly everything. due to his dexterous nature his typically always doing something with his hands, be it twirling a pen or performing card tricks. He is also quite confident and as such his posture and actions often display it.
Wraith prefers simple clothes in dark colors, usually black. He typically wears a t-shirt and jeans as the main parts of his outfit. A dark crimson red hooded jacket covers his back and protects him from some of the natural elements of the world. Black gloves and running shoes cover his hands and feet respectively. He doesn't like wearing many accessories, but does wear a single piece of jewelry around his neck. A pendant made out of a silver chain with a pure white crystal hanging from it. He also has a pouch at his waist that contains his basic kit of thieving tools. It contains a notebook, a few pens, a set of lock picks, a deck of playing cards, his cellphone, and a collapsible metal staff. He also tends to wear a pair of sunglasses to hide his unnatural looking eyes.
Calm and smooth, Wraith speaks with a distinct voice with a bit of a dialect/accent. His dialect/accent consists of a sort of what is considered low class and unsophisticated thief slang that cuts a lot of words to pieces, while keeping his tone light, cheerful, and somewhat polite. He can still speak properly, but when he does it is usually a bad sign. When he stops speaking in his weird thief slang filled dialect/accent it usually means the situation he is in is extremely serious, he is angry, or he is playing a role needed for a job.
Spiritual Description: Kenbou's reiatsu appears as a calm and ghostly silver mist/fog like aura around him when visualized. It gives off a feeling of mystery, and conflicting emotions. As even though it constantly feels the same, as though it is always him, it also feels different from moment to moment. As though his soul is just putting up various barriers to hide what is inside, but still longing to be seen through. Evading understanding, but wishing to be understood all the same. Unpredictable and mysterious in every way is how his aura feels. In the simplest terms his reiatsu embodies the feelings of concealment. In terms of scent it carries the faint scent of the early morning mist/fog that it visually appears like. It also feels slightly cold temperature wise as one would expect of a misty/foggy morning. All these factors further cement the feelings of concealment that the thief strives to carry out for his work, and the ghost like powers he has obtained.
Behind The Eyes___
Personality: Enigmatic at best, Kenbou is a strange young man. Calm and confident the young man seems to never take anything seriously, and is always found smiling and/or laughing about something. He is very friendly and has a playful personality with a good sense of humor. A bit of a trickster he tends to joke with and tease those he calls his friends quite a bit. Towards those he finds attractive he is also quite a bit of a flirt. He is also rather free spirited and will do or at least try many things once just for the fun or thrill of them. His friendly demeanor makes him easy to get along with and as such he doesn't have trouble making friends. He even understand whens to stop fooling around, and will even his style of speaking changes in certain situations to better complete the task at hand. This is most common in situations that require him to play a part to survive or to pull off a heist, such as posing as an art critic to steal a painting, this is where his nature as a trickster truly shines.
He enjoys peaceful locations to relax in and the types of atmospheric music that can enhance his relaxation. He also enjoys card games and other similar games of skill. Being the tricky type that he is, Wraith enjoys these games atmosphere of trying to observe the opponent and successfully outwit them. The young man is found of sweets, but dislikes spicy foods. He won't turn down alcohol, but is not a heavy drinker and will never allow himself to become intoxicated.
Despite his friendly and overall fun loving personality, Kenbou is rather introverted. He doesn't like to talk about his past, nor does he have anything he owned from back then. He also will not give out his real name unless he trusts the person entirely. As such most people know him by his code name: Wraith. He keeps most of his serious emotions to himself and unless continuously prodded by a trusted friend about things, he will continue to hide behind his playful, calm, and friendly persona. This is mainly because he views all of his problems as his own to atone for and/or deal with. This is despite the fact he has no problem helping others, at least those he has let in to become his friends, with their own problems. This gives him a somewhat hypocritical outlook on his social life. That all said, were someone to work their way past his emotional armor and truly become his trusted friend they will find a fiercely loyal companion within him.
In an additional contrast to his nature, although he often teases others and is flirtatious he himself is susceptible to it. That is to say Kenbou is actually quite shy when it comes to emotional attachment and affection deep down, so though he can dish it out he can't take it. In another contrast to his friendly persona, the thief holds grudges. He doesn't typically show his anger, but will find ways to get even if even angered. One of the only clues he gives out at being angry, rarely at that, is that he may suddenly stop using his dialect/accent even while still speaking politely to a friend. These grudges are a bit tamer towards friend than foe, but he still always claims some type of revenge. This trait is why the thief's ghostly guild code name was that of the commonly vengeful wraith spirits. Despite his overall confidence Wraith currently suffers a slight aversion to the masked race of hollows. Every time he sees one he has flashbacks to how badly his first encounter with one ended, making him extremely cautious and mildly afraid of them deep down inside. He will still keep up his confident and calm facade, but those that know him well will be able to see the slight changes in his temperament and actions. It is a fear he wishes to one day overcome as he himself gets stronger.
In terms of morals he lives in a decently gray area. Wraith steals things for a living and as such knows he is no saint. However he is a thief, not an assassin or mercenary. As such, he draws the line at murder and similar violent activities. He will not take jobs that involving killing, fighting, or general violence in general if he can. In his capacity as an exorcist he often only deals with the other races, such as hollow, when he absolutely has to and still only acts in self defense. At this time he has no reason to seek them out and bother them, and as far as he knows something like a shingami wouldn't have a reason to hire a human thief. He lacks knowledge about these spiritual races however and as he learns more about them, things might change. Most of his exorcist jobs are from those without real spiritual problems and as such he mostly has just conned a few rich and immoral people into thinking their houses were safer after they hired him. After all only spiritually unaware people with things to hide would hire an exorcist with such a shady background.
Positive Qualities:
Friendly: Straightforward and playful, Wraith has no trouble getting along with others. Often cheerful and with a good sense of humor, typically its hard for people to hate him outright.
Controlled: Always calm and confident on the surface, Wraith is not one to panic easily or at the very least not show it. Always portraying himself as though he is not worried and with a trick up his sleeve the man appears not phased by most things. Even if in the end he is just buying time to think up some type of plan.
Loyal: Knowing that it takes a great deal for them to put their faith in someone as strange and reserved as he is, Kenbou is a fiercely loyal friend to those he trusts and those that trust him. Seeing his true friends as more than professional contacts he will truly open up to and bond with them. As such, if the thief knows that someone truly cares for him he will do anything in his power to help them out and return their trust.
Inquisitive: The young man likes information. As part of his job as a professional thief, good information is king. As such he will constantly ask questions or observe his environment for even the slightest bit more data to work with. It makes his job and life easier if he knows more things....most of the time.
Negative Qualities:
Secretive: There are a lot of things that Wraith doesn't want to talk about. As such when speaking with him, despite his friendly personality people may feel that he is constantly leaving things out. While he doesn't exactly lie to people, his secretive nature may make some people feel that they can't entirely trust him. Though it's probably not surprising he hides so much, since he steals things for a living and goes by a code name.
Skeptical: In the thief underworld there is a lot of misinformation. As such, Wraith doesn't trust most things right away. Most words are often not taken at face value and the thief would rather investigate most things on his own rather than rely on secondhand information. This also goes for the people he meets as in he believes their true intentions are never easy to gauge. Most words are meaningless, as the trickster uses them as a weapon himself. Instead one must truly earn trust with action in order to be believed.
Vengeful: Stealth skills aside there is another reason Kenbou ended up with the code name: Wraith. He holds grudges. Similar to the vengeful spirit of his namesake, the young man does not let those that wrong him go. With friends this usually ends up with him setting up a serious of pranks as playful revenge should they fight or argue. Enemies however, might find themselves missing a few items from their homes that they treasured.
Indecisive: Sometimes the thief just can't make up his mind. The tough decisions always weigh upon him and he will perhaps spend way too long thinking on then. Also part of him being inquisitive pushes this further as he will sometimes seek out more information than is needed to resolve a situation.
Strength Of The World___
Power:
Wraith Physiology:
Changing his eyes from their original blue, to their crimson red with black sclera Wraith's power and awakened with the blood of a slain spirit and the dormant spiritual essence within him from his mother's genes. Those factors became the catalysts to forge the young man's connection with the spiritual world through his body. This power gives him the ability to assume a true Wraith's physiology by using his reiryoku to adjust and manipulate his form and spiritual power to use the abilities of the spirit of his namesake.
As such Wraith's power grants him mysterious and ghostly abilities. This power essentially grants him a spiritual yet still real world body that can still interact with the physical world when need be, by adjusting his forms essence and spiritual presence. Firstly he can adjust himself to become intangible to the real world, allowing him to pass through objects. When he does so his form shifts into a silver and ghostly vision of himself. He is still susceptible to damage from spiritual energy sources, from races with spiritual bodies and spirit weapons. However, he can pass through mundane objects with ease. For example, he can pass through the wall of a building that no one is actively supplying with their spiritual power as easily in the spirit world as he could in the real world. Injuries sustained in this state will not carry over to his true body when he returns to it. He can still be killed in this 'wraith form' and takes damage properly. However, if for example he was dismembered in 'wraith form' when he returned to normal he would still posses his arm or other appendage in his normal form, but it would paralyzed until he could gather enough of his reiryoku to replace that which was lost from the 'wraith form', provided of course he is still alive. He can bring objects and people along with him into this state, but he must attune them to his reiatsu before hand and must maintain contact with them at least by proxy of an attuned item to keep the benefit.
This power also grants him the secondary Wraith like capability of invisibility. Invisibility is NOT always active. Wraith has to will this secondary characteristic to begin, which is signaled by what seems to be a mist/fog erupting from his form. The length of time he can remain invisible determined by his power mastery. When using invisibility all traces of his physical and spiritual form vanish from detection, but the effectiveness of it is actually based on Wraith's mastery of his power versus the opponent's reiatsu perception. With those above his skill being unaffected by this little trick, though they can still tell he tried to do something. Those of equivalent standing are able to at least make him out well enough to find him with only minor issue for them should they actively focus on finding and sensing him. It's hard to keep out a thief that you can't see and that can walk through walls, so Wraith loves his power. At least, for what it means in the confines of the human world and his job anyways. In terms of how he tragically acquired the power and feels it makes him somewhat like those masked beasts, he hates it.

History: Wraith was born to the Senban family and given the name Kenbou. His father was Japanese, while his Mother was of French ancestry. Living in a rural mountain town far away from Karakura town, the boy led a somewhat strange life. His mother died while giving birth to him, leaving him behind with only his father and older sister. Since his mother died before they decided on a name for him, Kenbou's name is directly from his father and as such is entirely Japanese unlike most mixed children. His father had a tough time maintaining a job after his wife's death and eventually got mixed up with a certain thieves guild. He begins working for them to make a living. The thieves guild, known as Phantom's Grave, operates out of a hidden building in the side of the mountain near the town. It turns out to be very lucrative for the boy's father. The guild goes out far and wide to steal from various larger cities and then fence the items with their connections to the black market. As the boy's father turns out to be good at it, he begins to get greedy and before long Kenbou and his sister find themselves being taught to steal as well. From the time he was ten he had been taught how to sneak around and steal various objects by his father and this thieves guild. Starting from pick pocketing and working his way up to lock picking and grand heists, the boy finds himself becoming quite the skilled thief. His father uses the earnings of the family to put him and his sister through school and live a rather comfortable life.
As the siblings enter their teen years they begin to see through their father's greed and move to become more independent. As these are the only skills they posses they have no qualms about continuing to take jobs from the guild, but they no longer rely on their father as their handler. Relying on each other they become well known and successful enough to earn guild code names, earning enough money to live on their own along the way. As such their father, who no longer does jobs for the guild on his own, gets angry with them as he has no lost his main source of income. Their relationship with their father at this point is a bit strained. This goes on until Kenbou, now known under the code name of Wraith, is about sixteen years old. His sister suddenly decides to strike out on her own, away from the guild and mountain town to pursue new goals and see the world. He gives his sister his blessing and enjoys being a top tier thief living a comfortable lifestyle, that is until his father shows up to cause him trouble.
His father talks him into taking a high tier job in Karakura town that no one else in the guild wants to take, and comes along with him to ensure he gets a decent cut. Hesitant at first, the thief allows familial affection to get the better of him and accepts the job. That was when it happened. On their way to Karakura town to meet their guild contact, the two are attacked by a hollow. Wraith never saw what happened clearly. All the teen initially felt and saw was an intense pressure upon him and some type of blur moving past him. In what seemed like slow motion, the brown haired youth turned to face his father just in time to see the results. Blood splattered everywhere as a giant gash opened in his parent's chest, some sort of masked beast in front of him. The blood was everywhere and even splashed into the teens eyes forcing him to close them. His eyes burned, but he instinctively knew he had to run. Adrenaline pumping like crazy, Wraith felt like a dam burst inside of him and the burning sensation in his eyes intensified. He started to run away, forcing his eyes open even though they burned so much. He ran as fast as he can, but his vision was blurry and he didn't know where he was going. Eventually he ran out of steam, but he just couldn't shake the monster. Feeling whatever this beast was breathing down his neck, he felt it was the end for him. That was until something happened. A man wearing what seemed to be the clothes of a shrine priest appeared and the beast was gone. With his vision blurred, that was all the thief could make out, but he was grateful nonetheless. As relief washed over him so did fatigue and before he passed out his last memories involve the stranger asking him what was wrong with his eyes.
Waking up a few days later, Kenbou finds himself in a shrine with the mysterious man from before. The man explains that he is an exorcist and that they are in shrine that Kenbou later approximates is about halfway from his hometown and Karakura town. The man asks the teen about the attack and if he feels any different. Recalling the story, the brown haired thief immediately feels the loss of his father and takes awhile to calm down before he can actually speak about it. Eventually the exorcist explains to him that the beast that attacked him was a hollow, and what hollows in general are. After getting some rest, Wraith thanks the man and prepares to leave but is stopped by the exorcist handing him a mirror. He is shocked to see that his once blue eyes are now crimson red and that his sclera are now pitch black. Unsure of what it means the teen starts to panic, but the man explains his hypothesis to him. It seems as though his encounter with the hollow and the intense pressure it exerted stimulated his soul and awoke some type of power that was lying deep within him. He then asks about Kenbou's past, which forces the teen to recall that his father claimed his mother was an exorcist or something similar before her death. He also recalls his father telling him that she looked different from normal people, especially her eyes, but he had just chalked that up to her praising his beloved wife. If he was to assume his eyes now were what his mother's looked like then he theorized that this had occurred because of his mother's blood. Of course had no clue what that meant, or if he could even what this power was or how to use it. With no clue what to do with in this new world full of strange creatures he had unknowingly stepped into, the brown haired teen was at a loss of what to do next. Seeing him as a teen with no parents and nowhere else to go, the exorcist offers to take him in and teach him about the spiritual world, at least until Wraith can handle himself. The thief known as Wraith has no choice but accept.
Wraith and the man get along, but he does not know everything there is to know about all the different types of spirits and empowered beings. This results in the young man having incomplete knowledge about the spiritual world itself. Hollow, Shinigami, and Quincy are words he has a vague understanding of, but he never grasped all of the small details about them. Regardless, he has no intention of coming into conflict with any of them anyways. After these days of lecture, the exorcist helps Wraith learn more about the power that has awakened within him. The thief initially doesn't train it seriously, as old habits die hard. Instead of just receiving kindness all the time, Wraith constantly disappeared for large amounts of time only to return with large 'donations' to give the man. A thanks for his kindness. This slows down his progress in unlocking his true potential. Despite this the two share a somewhat close relationship, and Wraith even sees the exorcist as somewhat of a second father after he spends the next few years living and learning with him under the same roof. The exorcist eventually talks the thief into taking his new power seriously, leading the two to succeed in discovering what Wraith's hidden power is and from there they work on learning how to control it. He then trains alongside the exorcist for the next few years, in order to be able to defend himself and at least grasp the basics of his powers. Now with a bit of spiritual power in his repertoire the now twenty-one year old Kenbou, has a wider variety of jobs he can take.
This leads us to the present where for the past year, the thief known as Wraith has been not only been continuing his activities and jobs as a thief, but also taking on small requests as an exorcist to learn more about his powers and the spiritual world. Still an active member of the underground community with his ties to the black market, Wraith is as always looking for jobs that put his skills to use. Still new to the spiritual world, there is still a lot he doesn't know. However, he does know that if he wants to make the most of things he needs more information, more connections, more comrades, and stable and perhaps honest work. First and foremost however, he currently has a big job lined up to steal five pieces of artwork from various locations around the world.
Current Relationships:
-Mother: deceased; spiritual status unknown, possibly passed on safely.
-Father: deceased; consumed by a hollow.
-Sister: alive; location unknown.
-No Others at this time.
Roleplay Sample:
Money. There are tons of ways to make money. Most people do what is considered normal, and work for a living. The do their best to support themselves and possibly even their families by working hard at their jobs. Their own personal effort gets them the money needed to live their lives. No matter how horrible the job someone will work it just to earn money. That is what is normal....for honest people at least. Not everyone does an honest days work. Some people take jobs that society doesn't like to acknowledge. Some people take jobs that come at the expense of others. Wraith has one of these jobs. He steals things for a living. Though it may mean that someone loses something of theirs, it also means that he gets paid and gets the money that he needs to survive. A dishonest profession sure, but everyone has to make a living. Everyone needs to make money. This is just how the thief known as Wraith does things.
"Not a problem, dun' worry bout' it a bit." said a brown haired young man as he was bumped into by an intoxicated older gentleman. With a friendly smile the youngster simply shook off the event and kept walking down the street. Of course he would let such things go, after all this young man was known as Wraith and during that little exchange he had relieved the older gentleman of his watch. Having been a pickpocket and more since he was a child this was nothing for the professional thief. Walking down the street that was covered in bars and other types of entertainment establishments was just seen as being full of easy targets. Drunks almost never noticed when they had their pockets picked, and if they did the young man could also use his swift hands to drop the item and then talk them into believing that they had just dropped their item. Relieving a man of his wallet as that same man helped his drunk friend along, was useful in a way. The drunks were no challenge at all, but every once and awhile Wraith would target someone who wasn't quite intoxicated which was a slightly better test of his skill. None of it was too challenging. For Wraith this was just practice, and he was glad to see his skills had not yet dulled. Though more than practice, the young man was also doing this out of boredom. Most of his thief buddies were out of town and he didn't have a job at the moment. Still he figured instead of just killing time like this he could at least show his face at the guild. Emptying the stolen wallet of its cash contents, he then tossed it into a nearby trashcan. From there he headed out of the town and into the mountains.
Wraith now exited his small hometown and headed down a hidden path. He would eventually encounter the well hidden base of his thieves guild, Phantom's Grave down this path. Entering his guild he took note that there were not many people around today, but he didn't expect there to be anyways. Most of his buddies were out of town on jobs, so he figured he might as well stop in and see if there was a job for someone of his level. Then he saw someone didn't expect, his contact for the mission he had with his father in Karakura town that never got completed. Noticing each other the two greeted each other, sat down, and had a few drinks together. Then as thieves do they shared some stories about their past jobs, and bragged a bit. Of course a thief of the level in the guild to earn a code name, Wraith had a good number of stories. Still story time had to end eventually, and as handlers do when they meet the field operatives like Wraith they began to talk business.
That job in Karakura town still needed to be done. The guild still wanted that painting and luckily it had even been moved to a location that was easier to get to, meaning it was no longer a two man job. Someone with a code name like him surely could do the job solo. In addition there were four more artworks added to the job in various locations around the world. The job brought back bad memories, but also possibilities. Rumors that Karakura town was dense with spiritual activity as well, meant that maybe the brown haired young man could possibly strengthen his powers as well as get paid. Since opportunities like this were rare he decided to take the job. After all, Karakura was only one stop and it would give him the chance to learn more. Besides, if he pulled it off he would make enough cash to live comfortably for quite awhile. As such, the thief known as Wraith headed off with a smile. He needed some information, some contacts, and perhaps a few partners to get this done. For now he would head somewhere close to one of his targets to investigate and plan the operation. This was his way of making money, but he never said it was easy. He sure did enjoy it though.
