"Random wolf dude"? Based on the basket-helmet alone it should have been obvious what myth Kubo was stealing from. I mean, we were talking about hengeyokai and chikushudo in Bleach during the early Arrancar arc. It just wasn't confirmed because the slow reveal is what made bleach so fascinating. If he'd have laid out everything about the setting from the start, it would have been shit. Same thing goes for most fantasy stories, Eastern or western. Tolkien really broke the mold on "world building first, storytelling second", and it's a way better model for roleplaying.

I don't think I was here for the start of the Arrancar Arc. But I don't think I was talking on the chapters like I've been doing these last few ones, or at least not often enough to hear about that. XD. And yeah I can get not from the start, in talking about things. But how long it takes him, and how ridiculously Kubo does it. Really cuts the cake.
And yeah, Tolkien's way is better for a RP environment.
