Grey clouds rolled through the town of Karakura giving the foreboding view of raining soon. It felt rather like a depressing day or that’s what the young Icelander Quincy felt herself as she wandered the streets alone, or she so thought. She didn’t want Angeni to see her like this, so down trodding about having no powers and Melody scolding her to get stronger. She hadn’t talked to her ‘older sister’ in a long while since that incident after getting her butt kicked by Jian and the dragon Tyrant. Fate was just a cruel mistress in Freyleif’s life, no matter how much she struggled life would com back full force with more enemies she had to push through and none but Angeni cared about her well being.
“That’s not true,” the white wolf chimed in like it was reading her mind. “Your friends care about you deeply.”

She kicked a soda can down through an alleyway ignoring her companion’s words of wisdom. It was there to offer a hand in need or nudge her in the right path unknowing to her. Even now as she avoided a gang coming towards her looking much afraid upon their facial features. Glancing up she noticed the five hooligans make a run for it in panic, she rose a brow and looked behind her shoulder to see a menacing Wraith half in the shadows with a baseball bat in hand. She could almost have been fooled by the perfect form her Fylgja formed into until his body warped and sprouted a fuzzy white tail on his rear as he turned around to walk away. It made the young girl crack a smile at such silliness, shaking her head she continued down the path into the streets.
It was busy as usual in the center part of town. Lots of people either hurrying to work or out buying the latest trend of clothes and trying out food stands. Freyleif strolled on not much caring for the hub bub and loud noises the only thing she kept alert on was those pesky hollows prowling about. No matter how much people defended the town with the KSN group, the endless supply of hollows came and she was powerless to be of any use to defend the town. Karakura was just a buffet spiritual nexus that attracted so many monsters if they could destroy that ley line perhaps life would be easier here or move the spiritual snowflakes away to draw more attention. There probably wasn’t a solution anyway to keep hollows out besides that annoying barrier Midget Goddess placed.
Just in luck, a hollow was stalking along the rooftops picking up the Quincy’s spiritual aura she couldn’t contain and rather aloof she was even exerting that much to be bait. She stayed within the crowd hoping that would throw off any hungry ghosts. The lanky looking salamander hollow swiftly crawled building to building as it stalked the girl, waiting until she was alone for the snatching.
