Tony watched Merrick work through the problem, he moved his arms in different ways. It seemed as though he was unsure about what exactly he was going to do. It was a rather difficult problem, Tony wasn't sure how he would have accomplished this himself. It required changing the flight of the kunai in mid flight. Tony scanned the ground picking out what he considered to be an appropriate pair of stones. As he leaned down to pick said rocks up Alain made his first attempt. The kunai fell defeated a mere few feet from the target. 'Impressive' Tony thought, he was sure that his first attempt wouldn't have been as successful. However by now Tony was rather used to Atraerus's tricks. With both rocks and kunai in hand Tony searched the clearing, his eyes rested on a target to Alain's back. Alain attempted his second throw, it looked promising until it shot off far from the target.
Atraerus began to walk to the center now, his sage's voice filling Tony's head again. Tony was almost sure that Alain was rolling his eyes again, Tony couldn't really blame him as his friend did have that effect on people. As Atraerus spun the Kunai in his hands Tony was preparing to throw his own Kunai. He let out slack, after seeing Atra's presentation he felt he had a slight grasp on how to dance with this beauty. He began to spin it counterclockwise in his right, careful to maintain pressure. Tony heard a clash and dull thud, apparently Atra had found his mark. Not wanting to lose to his friend Tony tossed the stone high into the air. Tony released the momentum built up by the Kunai's spin, throwing it into the air slightly higher than the stone. The small blade traced a larger form of the arc that it had previously maintained while spinning around Tony's finger. As Tony was standing at a right angle to the target, the kunai would have to be turned at nearly a ninety degree angle to the left. Tony threw the kunai far past not only the stone but the target as well. Tony eyeballed the distance the kunai had travelled, on intuition he pulled slightly to the left, the wire collided with the stone. This collision set the blade on a different angle, though not quite towards the target. Tony threw the second stone into the first, further changing the kunai's path. It veered towards the target now, no where near as fast however. It hit, slightly out of center. Burying it's tip barely into the wood far enough to stick.
Though barely a success Tony was satisfied nonetheless. He peered down at his right hand, the wire left his fingers raw and cut. Small beads of blood dripped slowly from his hands.
"Your right my friend. She is of the fickle sort, prone to temper tantrums. Ahh that's a good name for her, Tetsuhime the iron princess"
