What's grade A fucking stupid is the following:
The Order was building the Academy to serve as a school for Quincy and people who wished to become Quincy, not every spiritualist who happened to walk down the pike, and the project was assigned to Aodh to oversee as headmaster, Rick to build, Faelan to provide specialized materials that are his latest innovation etc.... several key story line arcs for our player base lined up and being put in motion. Right?
It was to serve as a second base of operation in Karakura Town
Then we get to July and Luna is like, hey Frey I wanna do this. And Frey is like sure wth Aodh is sick anyway go for it! Cause at the same time she is planning to build this thing. I believe the location was chosen by Lucas?
Then you got the rest of the Quincy in The Order going da fuc?
So it is no surprise that Luna has no idea what the rest of us assume is the plan, cause she doesn't talk to us about these things and only joined the order quite recently.
But w/e, two plans coming together to form one.
We are going with it and adapting cause who gives a flying fuck who is in charge? The goal is to build the thing and get it established.
However, what your part in all of this is confuses me Otto. Town heckler?
good job. we award you 100 GP for Class C trolling. I can't grade it any higher than that, unfortunately because you didn't make me cry.

Whoa there, no need to get so fucking butthurt just because someone dares scrutinize your (poorly planned and executed) endeavors. As a Quincy player this affects me and it's very difficult to cut through the absurd amount of crud that surrounds all these harebrained Quincy """projects""". Not even the people directly involved have any clue what's going on if Luna and Sasha's reactions are anything to go by so I'm afraid you're just going to have to accept the fact that this raises numerous questions.
It's ironic, really, that you've chosen to call your meeting thread "ducks in a row", because nothing could be further from reality. Moving forward, might I suggest—having actually had my numerous BG projects result in success—actually communicating with people in a clear and concise manner? And perhaps, on a personal note, not taking everything so personally?

Luna was not directly involved. thats the point. this was a MAJOR plot point for four or five characters and its all gone to shit because one player decided she want to be in charge and another was too impatient to wait. This is exactly why the Quincy race is fucking horrendous, because we make plans together than someone else comes along and fucks it all to hell. This is why some of the Quincy players are thinking about either leaving the Order or just not being Quincy anymore. GAH

Sounds like a massive failure in leadership to me, both IC and OOC
Someone has delegated these tasks without considering the implications
Maybe that's why the Order is floundering around while the non-aligned Quincy just keep doing their thing

Another thing imo is that you can't wait 300 years for a plot to "perhaps" happen. If Aiden is ill, I get it, but the building could have started without him because the others are present (at least I kept seeing the ones mentioned in discord, so if they're there why not write what you wanted to?). If it's purely to wait "on another".. then well.
If Toto (like a big bro to Kas IC) would return all of a sudden she can't expect for nothing to have happened to the Second/ still being the Captain.
If you want to do things, then do them. Otherwise you can't be mad if someone else does them differently.

I didn't just decide, I asked Frey. You know, you're leader and the person who's supposed to make those decisions? I think it's really unfair for everyone to go "Oh this is Luna's fault" when I had an hour long conversation in the public Quincy chat discussing it and no one said otherwise.

less time faffing around with completely empty, meaningless titles
more time actually leading

If I may, although Frey is the "leader of your race" I think you'll find it's a really good idea to take a page from the Shinigami here. Frey is not your OOC monarch.
Shun, or whomever the Captain Commander is, does not personally approve the motives and actions of even his own Captains. They just go do because they are empowered by a clear mission in their Division. I understand you are sitting on the building blocks of a race, but dictating everything top down only works if it's being guided by a hand that is both quite firm and possessing a strong vision. It seems to me that Frey is just trying to make the best of decisions brought to her, rather than guiding you somewhere you don't want to go.
Steer your ship, or surrender your autonomy and let someone steer it for you who knows how.
You don't need Frey to assign a building project; you need players to do their threads. You should have stopped Luna day 1 and told her: "Thanks, but walk your own road". Doubly so considering this apparently has adversely impacted several people.

I did point too much blame on Luna, and i apologize.
the problem is we had this planned. like i said it was for our plots, so were waiting on each other to come to the point on where our plots were ready to go ahead. The problem with just chatting in discord is timezones, and i personally, dont know about others, did not see the chat because chances are there were a billion messages since i went to bed and i dont have the time to read each one.
Fact is Frey knew who was involved and should have tagged us if not messaged us as (like Genki says) it wasnt her project.
also we couldnt stop Luna 'day 1' as this IS day 1. we had no idea this conversation happened. if we knew we could have stopped it before this meeting. The point of the meeeting was for those involved with the project to collect all the work we've done and say 'right, we have the basics in place, we are good to go on building the academy.'
Again, I apologize to luna for blaming her for this, i was annoyed and lashed out as you did the post. This is not your fault, i kinda shot the messenger. Sorry.

Just to be doubly sure there's no lapse in communication again.
As per discussion in the Quincy chat, I'm in charge of the Academy. So long as I am, the KSSA is, as it sounds, an Academy to train members of the Order -- and in some cases outsiders -- on how to be a Quincy. It is not a fortress, nor is it secret by any means. There is no other agenda tied to it.
Considering this is Lucas' and Luna's thing from the start and if you had any problems you should have spoken to them about it. I'm only moving on the motion and if people are going to be pissy over..a lil Academy well..bye Felicia.

So basically, I tried to stay out of this entirely because Erek is literally just a new blood, and I have little to no say in anything realistically at the moment-- particularly because I'm not trying to be involved in too much just yet. But this entire situation seems's to have been blown way out of proportion because people were taking things too personally, and not talking to one another when something annoyed them.
Kyou came off as a bit of an ass about what he was saying, and how he phrased it, but he was correct. Just because someone is an ass doesn't mean that their opinion isn't valid, or what they're saying isn't correct. In agreement with Toki completely here on that subject.
Similarly, there seems to be a lot of drama and disorder that I don't really get-- so I'll stay out of that. But over all this seems to have been a simple situation of miscommunication when no one wanted to say "This made me upset" and instead just let it happen, boil over, and fester until it went from being upset or annoyed-- to all out anger that exploded needlessly.
Cal I know isn't the only one that's upset, but forgive me I'm going to use your statement as an example since you're the only one that's posted here publically. I mean no ill will by saying this, it's simply my two cents-- take it as you wish.
If someone you didn't like came into your workplace and took a position-- would you quit the job? I'm aware, this is just a hobby-- but in my opinion, the same idea applies. If for some reason anyone is upset with the situation-- you need to talk to Bri and Frey, and work with them so everyone is on equal footing. As has been stated previously-- communication is key. That goes for anyone that's upset over anything-- this incident, previous incidents, or anything that may happen in the future.
Frey isn't some OOC monarch-- and she's not going to read every thread and keep tabs on every single member of her order. Again, a workplace example-- if you're upset about a situation in the workplace you don't quit or throw a tantrum, or lash out at anyone. You take a minute, cool off, then approach your superior or the individual and handle the situation as best you can. Sure, sometimes it doesn't work-- but if you don't even make the attempt then obviously you're not going to get anywhere.
Communication has to be IC and OOC in this setting-- but generally, OOC needs to happen first for things to move fluidly.
If people still wish to leave or stop posting, or anything else due to this situation-- I certainly can't stop you. However, I would encourage you to try and work it out with everyone-- I think you may be surprised how much of the hurt feelings and toe-stepping was done without anyone realizing it purely due to ignorance and misunderstandings.

All of this drama would be wonderfully fun in-character.
I'd love to see some people try to convince Luna that their way is better -- or whatever the argument is -- as opposed to wasting the opportunity out of character. Or maybe go over her head and talk to Freyleif about it. That'd be fun stuff.
EDIT This is also a good opportunity to reflect on why we so rarely get new players who successfully step into leadership roles. More variety in those big-name movers and shakers requires more people with the skill set necessary to manage others effectively. The Quincy and Arrancar both have some great potential to experiment, so don't waste that chance.

On that note, it kinda was my post in the meeting that threw this into the open, and i fully intend for Fal to continue with the questions and annoyance until Luna can offer acceptable responses as it just makes sense to do so. He's in a bad mood today, he doesnt like official meetings, so its quite possible he will try and find fault with everyone.
