No, you'll be alright as long as you stay consistent. That's what RP's all about, anyway. The difference between the the established races and the minor races is simply the support structure that helps keep that consistency in play. There are certainly people who got their money's worth by accumulating enough GP for for high reiatsu by endlessly shitposting and then banging their heads against the prestige wall until it gives; you wouldn't be the first and you certainly wouldn't be the last and as long as you enjoy yourself that's fine

you may also actually make it work, in which case you would be the first and you'll have achieved something nobody else has so really you have nothing to lose, especially not if you're dead set on it

if nothing else, it'll be a fun experiment for both you and the rest of us

(and it's not like you're limited to one character or anything)
