Erek arched a brow at her joke-- an amused smirk playing on his lips. "Generally it's only stressful if your partner likes to tease you, then again I'm definitely the type to tease and make someone squirm first-- foreplay is probably the most enjoyable part," as blunt as ever, he stated this idly before he would contemplate her statement-- she was turning a forest with a lake into a more condensed area then. If forestry was more comfortable to her than rocks, than--
"--Perhaps try and imagine the roots of the tree's growing up, and the land itself shifting around instead of forming dams or walls then. If your personality is more naturally inclined to smoothly flowing systems and forestry, that may be the difference. Fighting against your natural instincts tends to restrict you-- Mei had me try to form a candle in a dark room from an inferno-- and I managed it, but once I found a more suitable example for myself, I managed it far easier. Feel free to play around with different techniques of controlling the flow of the water." Offering a slight smile of encouragement he blinked at her question, lifting his wrist to check his watch briefly, before replying.
"Eighteen-ten," he replied idly, then blinked and corrected himself, "Ah-- that's six ten. Don't worry about food-- I'm content to watch over you, I'll treat you to dinner after you're done." He smiled softly at the joke-- if he owned the property then it wasn't much of a "treat"-- but still, it was fine. "I want to be here just in case anything goes wrong. It's immensely unlikely it will, but I wouldn't have peace of mind leaving you on your own. A teacher should be put through the same difficulties their student is going through." With this, he would shrug before blinking.
"Ah, that said-- if you get tired, or hungry, let me know. We can break to eat then." He'd already learned that-- technically-- he didn't even need to eat, he could use reishi as a sort of sustenance through the control of his regeneration. But he'd still rather do so-- besides, she certainly didn't have that option.
