She was in his hands-- that had been Frey's order, and he was nothing if not reliable. If this Shinigami wanted power and skill quickly, then she came to the right place, he didn't care about her odd eating habits-- nor her powers or abilities, what he cared about was her potential, and her loyalty. To him, if you had those two things, then you were worth his time. He had led the woman forward from the park that they had met, taking her toward the darkness in the distance until they reached the barest edge of the ruined section of town, where there was barely a peep from a bird or insect.
Slowly, his hands lowered behind his back as he turned to face the woman. His eyes trailed over her briefly, before he waved a hand idly as the reishi around him shifted, turning into two elegant chairs of pulsating silver energy-- not quite completely opaque, but certainly immensely solid, taking on simplistic, but elegant and comfortable designs as he fell into the seat of one, and motioned for her to sit on the other. Fingers intertwining in front of him, Erek simply watched her for a moment, before he would release a brief breath and begin.
"If we're going to do this, I need to know your preferences. Your current level of skill, what you specialize in while in combat, how rusty in some areas you are-- how skilled you are in others. I'll help you grow stronger, but I need to know those things if you wish me to truly hone you-- I want to ensure that you get everything done evenly. There shouldn't be a single skill that you cannot call yourself an expert in by the time I'm done with you." Arching a brow as he finished this, he would open a hand as a long knife with a ring at its end, crafted entirely from reishi with the same elegant but simple designs as the chairs forming, its edge glinting in the light as he idly spun it on his fingers leaving trails of reishi as it went.
"I specialize in close quarters combat, I have little skill in the spiritual arts-- but that doesn't mean I can't help you with them. I'm quite good at thinking in ways other people can't, and using that to help others better their skills." His mind briefly went to Freyleif, and Mei-- before he would allow a slight smirk as he then grasped the blade firmly in his hand and focus his gaze on the young woman quietly, his eyes watching her with keen interest.
"So-- what do you prefer in combat-- and how good at it are you?" The question was blunt, and straight forward-- the more information he had on her, the better he could find her weak points and polish them. For now, it was calm, but on the training began he had little doubt that it wasn't going to be nearly as calm. If the woman had a habit of eating Hollow then her reiatsu could very well be unstable-- he had to account for that in the training and be prepared to crush her into the earth as required. With these thoughts, his eyes remained focused, and hard on her-- awaiting the response that would eventually lead to the harsh training that was in store for her.
