"You can deny it all you like, Freyleif but I can read you." he shrugged "And I know for a fact I'm not the only one. No one knows your exact thoughts but we can get impressions of what you feel or what you may be thinking about, though this isn't the point. We need to get you to be less of an open book."
"We start at the beginning. Admittedly, this if my first time teaching this to anyone so forgive any fumbling I may do." Marshal let his legs collapse beneath him, folding to sit himself cross legged across from Frey. His eyes drifted closed ever so gently. As the world faded from view he let himself 'see' not only the Quincy's soul but those of anyone and anything around them. Those of the inanimate objects were like a faintly glowing thread, pulsing as if to indicate the proverbial life within the body that held it. Those of the flora, fauna, and even humans around them were like small fires with a semisolid core. The plants were fainter than the animal's, and obviously smaller, and the animal's were the same in comparison to the humans. Freyleif's though was something else entirely. It was a blazing ball of energy that, even to him, almost hurt to look at. It was shapeless and wild, carelessly washing over anything around it. "I'd like to see how well you can reign yourself in. Control how you exert yourself on your surroundings."
"Knowing how well you're able to do that will give me a sort of basis for how I should teach the rest of it to you." He wouldn't move. He wouldn't watch her. Not with his eyes, anyway. It went without saying, at least in his mind, that she needed to be as at peace with what she was attempting as she could be and being watched was a pressure she didn't need. "I'll guide you if you need it but for the most part I'm going to just observe how you take the instructions I give you. Understand?"
