So it was possible, after all.
The spell sprang forth and was met with Victoria’s fury, batted aside as though it were nothing. Bolts of stray electricity still cracked through the air around his outstretched, vulnerable palm. As sudden as forceful, she’d grabbed him with an impossible grip, his lithe wrist now on the verge of snapping like a branch on a tree. She spun about and readied a devastating kick straight to the knee. If he was intent on running, she had the foresight to put an end to it. In such a small space, confined by her iron clasp, there was little he could do. Before there was time to think, Victoria was already through with her strike and his body fell awkwardly to the ground, his leg snapped at the knee and in total ruin. His face was carved into a contorted expression of pain and horror.
From somewhere above the scene, Osamu glided through the air, the top layer of his uniform stripped and used as material component for his deception. He was pleased; his clone did more than tank a hit. He willed it to act, and so it did. Whether the attack had substance or was just some hollow visual of what he intended was irrelevant. He willed it to act, and it acted. He landed silently on the opposite end of the compound from where he began, far from Victoria just the way he liked it. His arms were still numb with the excess power, and he wondered if his earlier success had something to do with his sealing strategy or if it was his own ingenuity at work.
“Rikujokoro,” he said with hands conjoined, a sign of sealing. This particular bakudo was fast acting, but far from impossible to get around. It’s intended function to completely immobilize their target for however long the caster can manage. It was likely whether she wanted it to or not, the spell would work as intended and bind her at the midsection. Now, whether he had the power to hold her in this binding and actually immobilize her or not was another story entirely. He’d seen it plenty of times where this spell would bind powerful beings only to be completely resisted, the binding shattering after a handful of steps.
“Sajo Sobaku,” and so he’d reinforce it was additional bindings. From the tips of his fingers at his conjoined hands, a golden light spawned ropes of winding, binding chains that snakes through the air, their intended destination Victoria, and their purpose to wrap their magical cords round and round, binding her arms down at her sides. There was probably some side effect to this spell that squeezed the breath out of their victim, dissuading movement of most kinds. There was no telling how prepared Victoria was for a situation like this; surely she would expect an Utsusemi at some point, considering she witnessed his capacity to utilize such a skill during his run in with Rubicana.
Whether she knew, suspected, or didn’t, he was safe at his distance, and he’d at least continue to keep her busy.
