I seem to recall it having something to do with how much of their potential they had filled rather than absolute values of power, if that makes any sense.

Well this is more of a 'these are cool, we should do graphs like these if people want them, but how do?' type of thread.
I editted in some guesstimates as to how one might fill in such a graph but I'm still 100% clueless about how I would actually fill one in (protip: MS Paint's Fill option does not work.)
Heh I was halfway working with something like this on my sheets I did out of raw boredom on the cruise. I just used the pen tool in illustrator.
I didn't do it as mechanically as this though--Reiatsu is tied to the other skills so can always be deduced from how much they are.
Instead I used "stamina" to represent the character's ability to go without rest. I know its a bit misleading since the word means something else on our site. And I threw in "Charisma" which, while completely subjective and un-statted, I think says a lot about a character's force of personality.
I'm not suggesting you guys use stamina or charisma like I did; the chart I developed here was made specifically to compare one twin with another.
And I know the type on the traits/information look ugly as sin. I kinda gave up on the sheet after 15 minutes and went back to playing Pokemon on my 2-month-almost-internetless-tour.

I considered it but then I remembered that my awful math skills would probably botch it something fierce, hence the reason this thread exists, I threw together a chart and then was kinda lost as to what to do pas that point.
Strength: 90/300 = 30% = 1,200 GP Defense: 100/300 = 33% = 1,320 GP Speed: 80/300 = 27% = 1,080 GP Spirit: 30/300 = 10% = 400 GP
If we assume that the "maximum" is a stat-capped, single stat-capped character (fuck royals, they don't count), that's uh 9,000 GP to make 400 stats, so
150/400 = 3,375 GP
Strength: 1,200/3,375 = 36% of "bar" filled Defense: 1,320/3,375 = 39% of "bar" filled Speed: 1,080/3,375 = 32% of "bar" filled Spirit: 400/3,375 = 12% of "bar" filled
It's a great deal more difficult to determine what a Skill GP maximum would be under our current mastery rules (no limit, motivate each one instead). Using the old ones, where there was a theoretical maximum of uh, eight masteries? You'd probably be alright saying something around 6k is maximum
so here I'm 4,000/6,000 = 67% of "bar" filled
Reiatsu we use the fuck royals approach again, and set a maximum of 400

Well it does look pretty, if unimpressive, that way by the way it shapes itself. Looks like a crystal.
Although it kind of has to when two of the values are always greater than the other four...
I had previously considered different options, namely Skill v Technique, where you would measure how many techniques you have against your general skill, mostly because Reiatsu isn't a very useful value to view without comparing against other values of the same sort, by itself on a graph it really does nothing. But your number of techniques is such a wildly varying number which boils down to a binary sort of concern: Are you a human? Y/N
