Marble blocks crashed against each other as the Shinigami’s footsteps thudded towards the centre of the domed room. The collapsing dome had once been held together by the latent Reiatsu of its denizens, the Hollows that had taken advantage of the free transport that it had also provided. Now Kashe was trying to take advantage of the same Garganta, save for the one issue of falling blocks. The Shinigami didn’t stop moving, even as the stone monoliths crashed down around him. He had to get out of this place. He had to leave Hueco Mundo. He needed to get back to the Seiretei.
Maybe the voice would be quiet then.

Tumbling, falling.
The sensation of falling through a Garganta was unlike anything that he had ever felt before. The uncontrolled tunnel through dimensions had no floor, and Kashe couldn’t catch himself. He hurtled ever faster through the storm of energy that surrounded him, the unstable Garganta cutting a path through the most dangerous area of the Dangai. Energy jumped around like strange purple bolts of lightning, hurling itself against the walls of the Garganta like a dying soldier. A little girl’s voice echoed in Kashe’s head, even as he tried to ignore the being that had taken control of his Inner World. Aw, Kashe… let’s play a game! No response came from the Shinigami as he fell faster and faster towards the exit. Let’s play twenty questions! “Stop.” The word came out tight and controlled, trying not to encourage the nameless demon.
How many Shinigami have to die before you can protect them?
The noble closed his eyes, trying his best to silence his mind. Was it that meditating thing that his father had tried to teach him once? A way to silence your mind so that you could truly think? Whatever that tech is, it sure won’t work on me. The child-like voice grated on Kashe’s nerves, encouraging him to simply yell and scream at the demon. But he didn’t. he wouldn’t. The being would not make him lose himself. He wouldn’t. He wouldn’t. That’s something that seems more and more likely by the day. The playback of his own voice caused Kashe to yell back incomprehensibly. That’s more like it.
The Garganta ended and the Shinigami flew out into the cold rain.

Crash! Kashe crashed against the brick wall, causing him to gasp as the air was knocked out of him. Gravity quickly took over, pulling him down to the ground. Again, his breath escaped him as he collapsed to the concrete below him. “Ungh…” Kashe murmured as he slowly got back to his feet. No serious injuries had resulted from the impacts, a few scratches, maybe a light bruise? The pit-pat of rain surrounded him, already making his hair a sopping mess. It didn’t bother him though. Granules of sand slowly ran off his head and Shihakushō, the desert land finally losing its touch on him. But their blood will be with you forever. Kashe didn’t respond to the voice, instead glancing around and trying to get a feel for where he was. The noble had never spent a lot of time in the Human World. After all, most of his time had been spent in a strict regimen to grow stronger, but how much had that helped?
It hadn’t changed what the Seiretei surely thought of him. At least he was out of Hueco Mundo… and free from the sandy prison.

A cell phone flicked open on the far side of the town. A frightened Shinigami quickly dialed a number, and spoke quietly into the receiver. “I saw him come out of a Garganta!” That would be all the Seiretei needed to know. The Second would be quickly contacted, and they would deploy someone to hunt him down. After all, military rule has to silence problems. Like someone who just broke a taboo that had always been in place. Yes, that would do for arrest. Or more.
