Sorry...Who Are You?
Name: Rosuto, Rekkan
Age: Twenty-three / Something around one hundred or two.
Gender: Male
Squad/Position: Fifth Division. Lieutenant if possible.
What Makes Us...Us?
Height & Weight One meter and Eighty-one centimeters / Seventy-seven kilos
Hair & Eye Colour Rekkan has dark brown hair that stretches down to the level of his waist. He usually wraps a thin leather rag to tie it. He also uses a piece of sturdy cloth with a padded section for the forehead with the letters "Ak", rather small abbreviation of part of his nickname, "Akume". This either means "Orgasmic" or "Wild/Untamed Horse", varying in the situation. The meaning will be played a lot by the character and the writer. / Dark brown Eyes.
Noticable Difference Like any other Shinigami that deems himself worthy of wearing a black robe and wielding a Zanpakuto, Rekkan likes to stay fit both spiritually and physically. With that said, his physique is nothing out of the ordinary as it remains athletic and strong. It might, however, not be one of the best toned bodies. Rekkan's priority when building his muscles is agility.
It would be unreasonable to forget Rekkan's current Gigai. It is funny because it seems that the style Rekkan uses in the Living World has gone through to the Soul Society. And why say that? Because while the Shinigami has three belts strapped around his torso in his Gigai, he also wears them as a Shinigami. Two crossed belts, wrapping from shoulder to ribs, with one wrapping around the thorax.
In his Gigai, apart from the belts, there's the usual black shirt and black jeans. Rekkan's eyes also have some make up, giving him a more dreadful look. Oddly enough, this is his usual look in the Soul Society. There is no make up, but he appears as a stoned individual, always high on drugs. Of course that is not the case, but a severe trauma caused by a life full of addiction to many types of drugs has probably passed on to the Next World. There are rumors about him having found a new type of drug, although he keeps it a secret, escaping only the hint that the drug is actually very old.
Positive Traits
Negative Traits
TMI?:| Calm, relaxed and the "let's try this" guy. Rekkan goes by his existence always looking to do new things and always keeping a soothing expression through it all. It's not like he does not have resolve in battle, but he hides it subconsciously. When doing anything, others who interact with Rekkan will note that he is extremely laid back and seems to be out of context in conversations and so on, although what is happening is completely different. He is able to catch the subject of something rather quickly and knows when to rightfully intervene, even if others think differently. Of course, we're talking about point of views. He can actually be a little impertinent, but in his way of seeing things, he's doing it just right.
Experience brought some wisdom to Rekkan and he knows it. Ryoku's influence in him made him softer in words, but harsher in battle. He is resilient and very proud when it comes to battling and the knowledge he gained, especially in the art of wielding a sword, is definitely shown in his fights. He keeps every being and his surroundings in check and has a good level of observation, obviously not compared to that of a seasoned Captain or Commander. However, he adapts himself the further he moves on and it won't take that long for him to reach that level of power when it comes to sizing other beings' prowess and studying everything around him.
He is also kind hearted, which is much different from what he was when the Shinigami was a human. In fact, after stealing and killing so the money could be enough to get just another line of coke, caring for another Shinigami in his division is enough proof to say Rekkan definitely changed. He shows his affections through body language sometimes, because he is not that much of a talker. His swift movements and thrilling actions are what define him. Words can be unnecessary at times.
A Bond That Can't Be Denied
Zanpakuto Spirit: Ryoku is what its name means: "Power". Power took the form of a lion, distinguished by his golden mane and vertical scar that runs through his left eye. Let's not think of "King Lion" and its antagonist when we think of Ryoku, although one can do so if it is to his or her liking.
Apart from his golden mane and scar, Ryoku's physical traits resemble that of a lion you see in the Savannah. I did not consider even thinking of a tamed animal from a zoo because it barely lacks the savagery of an actual beast from the wild. Ryoku dictates his own rules and is the king of his own world, so there can be no comparison between him and an impotent male from your common zoo. His sharp and giant black claws imply the viciousness and dreadful intents of this character, although his golden man is able to portray the glorious and proud aspects of the beast's personality. He speaks with a clear and unchallenged resolve, yet there are times in which Rekkan can reach the core of Ryoku's personality and listen to the tender and peaceful heartbeat of the lion. This means that there are only two sides to the lion's overall personality.
One is that of the proud warrior. Ryoku is the one that initiated Rekkan in the Path of the Bushido, turning his fighting style into what it is today. He further enforces pride in Rekkan's nature because it can become a powerful tool in battle. There is a downside of that, but the proud are always ignorant on the setbacks of their own emotions and instincts. Injure the pride of Ryoku and a thundering roar will deafen the giants while his storming claw ravages the very core of the hardest material.
To another extent, Ryoku is very caring of Rekkan and those he created in his World. He is so incredibly fond of Rekkan that, even though he might dislike a being that Rekkan loves, he will allow the Shinigami to draw energy from the Zanpakuto to protect them. He is forced to contrary his ways when it comes down to the things he cherishes most, morales being completely disregarded in order to achieve the safety and life of what makes him or Rekkan happy. Ryoku tries not to influence the Shinigami he bonded with because he fears it would damage Rekkan's personality and turn him into an emotionless and purely instinctive individual. If that ever happened, Rekkan would consume not only the power of Ryoku, but that of any other being in existence. It has been a long road since Rekkan's sociopath days and, to let him fall into that again would destroy Ryoku.
It is love that Ryoku feels for Rekkan... But love that a father has for his son. After all, it has been centuries since the two met. Ryoku unleashed the emotions Rekkan had hidden for half of his existence in the living world.
Last, but not least at all, Ryoku's fatherly love for Rekkan is extended to "grounding" his "son". While it will be covered with a more thorough analysis in the actual ability of the Zanpakuto, if Ryoku feels that Rekkan is not "behaving", he will ground him by stripping the Shinigami of his powers. Sometimes it's only by being harsh that one is able to raise a "good boy".
Inner World: Ryoku's Inner World is both common and rare. While it possesses traits of your average day-to-day world, with plains resembling those of the African Savannah, there's also an unique characteristic to it. Night never comes, because the plains are motionless and turned upside down. The planet is introverted, with a burning sun that never seizes to light the world of the lion. An ordinary being would find itself stranded and cast to a state of madness because of this fact, but those Ryoku brought with him remain strong. Of course that there are more beings in Ryoku's realm. In fact, he has a full list of fauna and flora residing in it.
While there are different species of beings living in Ryoku's Inner World, they all share the same spiritual presence. They are connected and make One. That One is absorbed by the sun that provides light for every being to live in the realm. Without light, there would be death. But for Ryoku to give power to Rekkan, he is forced to absorb some energy from the Sun. The intricate spiritual lore of Ryoku's Inner World and the lion's understanding of it makes him even more qualified to be king of it.
But there are two theories for the existence of other beings in Ryoku's Inner World. One is that he brought them, which is unexplainable. The other is that he created them. The latter also states that the Sun is another creation of Ryoku and is a testament of the sole energy of his Pride.
Sealed Zanpakuto: If one uses Google to search for the weapon katana, he will find many that could be that which is Rekkan's Zanpakuto. However, it isn't. In fact, the blade tunes sharpness higher, decreasing its durability. The blade is almost one inch and a half smaller than a regular blade, concentrating in speedy like the mouse Gonzalez tactics. The hilt is black, with no out of the ordinary marks. The blade looks used and slightly damaged on the sides, although nothing big. It still shines brightly when some light is directed at it. But in the very bitter end of it all, with everything summed up to their summed up state... It's just a katana.
Shikai Appearance: In the first release of Ryoku, the Zanpakuto's blade has now seven kanji engraved through it, each for one virtue of the Bushido. The hilt has small and thin golden strings from Ryoku's mane while there is no more change in Rekkan's overall appearance. / "Roar, Ryoku."
Shikai Abilities: Ryoku's ability is to empower Rekkan by the use of the Seven Virtues of the Bushido. The Shinigami will feel his body and soul grow stronger as he further abides by the Virtues and the Way of the Warrior. This ability is split in four passive techniques and three active techniques which will be further explained in detail. Unless you want me to post them here.
The Zanpakuto's ability is purely martial, meaning that is based on close combat and specifically using the weapon. While one technique of Shikai will allow Rekkan protection from surprise attacks from behind, it will also forbid him from doing the same to opponents. There's a total of seven techniques, one for each Virtue of the Bushido. I explained this above I think. Although, considering the techniques really sum the ability I guess I need to post them up after this is approved <.<
FLASHBACK
Background: Something good, something good, something good... Ah yes, Rekkan's childhood and early teenage years. Rekkan's memories of his life are like pieces of a broken glass. He remembers the two most iconic fragments of it all. One was his time with his mother. When he was just a little kid who couldn't say "love" right because of missing his two upper front teeth, actually saying "wuv", Rekkan used to spend a lot of time with his mother. Even though her dead was a catalyst for his entrance into the world of drugs, so she's somewhat at fault for his own death, Rekkan "wuved" her. He used to tell her that everyday, especially when she got ill. People in the neighborhood would strike his father by cursing words, stating that he caused her illness. Always running around from woman to woman as a vile and hungry, disrespectful being the most of it, human. He would deceit females into thinking he loved them and then fuck them both metaphorically and literally. But Rekkan was an ignorant child. He opened his eyes a little too late. And-... Fragment over.
Something bad, something bad, something bad... Ah yes, Rekkan's decline into drugs. Even though he thinks it was his mother's death that brought him into that world, there are no certainties of it. He does not remember the set time in which he started blowing cocaine and hitting his veins with blasting heroine. He does remember those crazed and delusional times in which he would mug for drug, though. In fact, he killed and stole so much that it got him killed. One common day in a common year in common Earth, Rekkan had just killed a woman to get enough money for his last line of cocaine. He sat down on his rotting chair and looked around his dirty room. After that, every drop of the white powder was poured onto the table and arranged into a speeding lane of white death. Rekkan inhaled...
The convulsions began and Rekkan was unable to stop them. He fell hard on the floor and felt his heart beat harder and harder until it exploded, vessels shrinking instantly and muscle stopping. When he woke up, there was a chain hanging to his chest. He was a-... Fragment over.
The Rukongai was a nice place for the first five minutes. After that, Rekkan's body was burning to get some cocaine or heroin, probably some LSD while he was at it. But it's not like drugs can be found in Soul Society. If they can, Rekkan was too stupid to find them. Rehabilitation started then and took him years before settling down. However, when it was all almost over, Rekkan jumped into the academy to try and reassure his state of average well being. It was there that he discovered his latent power for Zanjutsu and his abnormal failure in the use of Kido. One can only be sure that Rekkan passed because of his quality with the sword. Others that beg to differ are morons with no shred of intelligence.
Now, about that first release-... Fragment over.
How could Rekkan forget about how he met Ryoku? Seriously, even I am stunned with his lack of memory. It was definitely during one night in one year in which he was feeling a burning rush up his body. He needed something to calm him down... But there was only a voice that would make his groundings tremble and change him forever.

Positive Traits
- Losing Track of Time While Imagining Things § Rekkan loves to just sit or lay down somewhere nice and peaceful and think about things. Imagine what it would be like if Time and Space were different or simply watching the fauna and flora of Nature. Because of that, he seems to lose track of time and arrive late to division meetings and other things in his agenda.
I Just Had Sex § Rekkan's humongous level of horniness tops that of the Captain Commander's Spiritual Pressure.
Negative Traits
- Love § When loving, either a Way or a being or anything at all, Rekkan is prone to being "lost". He will have such a desire for it that he will be consumed by that love and that will certainly mold his personality. The current example is that of the Bushido. While Rekkan becomes more involved in the Way of the Warrior, he loses the grip over emotions like friendship, which may cause him to become introverted and actually a bitter cold machine.
Hate § Rekkan can hate as much as he loves. If he truly hates a being or subject, he will attempt to destroy it at almost all costs. His primal instincts, just like in "Love", will be turned on automatically and he will lose conscience, sort of speak, remaining only the need to survive and kill the hated being.
The fear of falling back into the world of decline that was consuming cocaine and other heavy drugs can sometimes bring a very horny being down. Rekkan suffers from that fear and, when hit with it and the thought of his life as a drug addict, makes shivers crawl down his spine. He tries to clear his mind from that thought, although it's hard sometimes.

How could Rekkan forget about how he met Ryoku? Seriously, even I am stunned with his lack of memory. It was definitely during one night in one year in which he was feeling a burning rush up his body. He needed something to calm him down... But there was only a voice that would make his groundings tremble and change him forever.
Roleplaying Sample: Rekkan closed his eyes and inhaled a loaf of fresh air that was still tingling around from the surviving atmosphere. He felt Hakunetsu's very own juice running freely through his stream of life as it erupted into energy at the mere contact it had with the brain of the Shinigami, allowing him to visualize what was real and what was far beyond the understanding of the spiritual world. As visions of the nude woman known as Hakunetsu floated about the mind of the Captain, he felt a harder pierce in his right hand's palm, his blood dripping once and being instantly absorbed back into its home as the creamy liquid of Hakunetsu invaded the body and organism of Rekkan. She moaned, her fingers penetrating into the Real of Never Ending Pleasure and Lust, body arching softly in waves that one could only think about being as violent as a calm breeze of a Sunday evening. But that was only Rekkan's mind getting the best of him, his eyes being opened once more so that he felt what was like to return to reality. It was disgusting and futile for one who dared not to linger in the sorrow and despair that others had let their hearts reside in over the centuries and millenniums that lasted merely as memories in Rekkan's mind. He could not feel what was in the Past, nor could he savor what was to come. And because of that, he was forced to live in the Present, obliged not only to be haunted by a nymphomaniac woman but by his terrible dreams and nightmares, which enveloped his spiritual being in a light of darkness.
But the miserable Shinigami was not left alone with his imaginations, for visitors had come to challenge him. He looked forward and clear, his brown eyes trailing through the black immensity of space and finding one that would have Reiatsu similar to that of a Hollow. More Reishi was released in the pure form of pressure as another figure was spotted by the perceptive senses of Rekkan, who could notice the female from the corner of his eyes. She was elegant and spontaneous, her military uniform showing more than just some kind of loyalty to an old empire that had risen and fallen so quickly in the Path of Time. But it was not her clothing that made Rekkan so intrigue about her, but those red and fleshy lips that could be portrayed as those of a lustful creature. Her own form and substance would be ravaged of the unnecessary accessories and wear that Civilization was so fond to create as the Shinigami saw her with true eyes that could see the totality of one body, from one side to the other, without even circling around it. And more importantly, his eyes weren't even staring directly at her, showing a proficiency of the Shinigami at perceiving his surroundings with ease and gentle care. The creature remained patient and motionless, her lips parting softly and muttering a sound that would only echo through space like a faint melody which refreshed one with sweetness. Rekkan's spine shivered at such feeling, the sound being brought by the living atmosphere's wind only to clash against the Death God's skin and make his senses tingle even further.
But in the end, the woman was nothing more but an enemy. It was weird for Rekkan, considering he was so fond of women. Yet, it seemed that he always caught them on the opposite side of the battlefield, like a test he had to endure in order to become stronger and be able to rise higher to grasp whatever was what he desired to grasp. The only thing he knew was that such thing was way high up in the sky, past the galaxies and black holes that formed the Universe. One would think that even the Universe's infinite dimension could not stop the Shinigami's arm from breaching through the limitless barrier and grasp whatever was impossible to acquire. He found himself floating in a sea of dreams before waking back up into reality and realizing that not much more than a second had passed and that he was still there...
As a world of endless possibilities formed around the Shinigami, he was keen to understand that two new figures had just arrived. One would be a human, a survivor from the destruction... Yet, the human was no normal being, as it held enough spiritual energy to entertain Rekkan. He spoke of some stress-relief confrontation, probably between himself and Rekkan. But yet, the Captain was not ready to fight... He could feel his veins pumping louder and stronger as they were swarmed with the creams of Hakunetsu as she whispered to him, she forced him to wait... However, not even one's Zanpakuto can hold instincts for long. She growled at the sudden creation of a mere energy bullet by the Hollow, who aimed to hit Rekkan right in the head. What a bold move that was, yet rash. Rekkan tilted his head to the left, cocking it as a misunderstanding expression revealed itself upon Raistlin. A beast was looking at the Hollow as the bullet missed its target, continuing to flutter through the atmosphere as its trajectory was blocked by the arriving officer of the Seireitei, gravity taking its toll as it was now able to trespass not through the head, but the solar plexus. The beast felt the one who confronted it was ridiculous. Rekkan sighed heavily in disappointment as he cocked his head back into a normal position, leaning his body forward as his left foot's toes pressed against the hard soil of the meteor. The form and substance of the crazed pervert was sprung forward, his companion being swung from left to right in a beautiful arched motion as one star was able to launch its rays of light against the blade and make it glitter. One would say that the damned Orc, which was what the first arriving figure resembled to, would have its midriff section cut in half. "I see you... Do you see me...?" Muttered Rekkan under his breath, right foot planking against the ground for a steady chance at retreating or countering, for one would notice his left hand gripping the sheathe of the katana and being motioned up with due time.
