Bright sunlight was being emitted throughout the air as the plains of one of the training fields that was closest to the first division’s Headquarters as the time on any accurate clock within the area was preparing to mark noon. Thanks to being conserved in nearly the perfect weather, the grass was illuminating in a bright green color while the freshly clean training stumps were reflecting a bit of sunlight. With only green grass and a few stumps around a 40 meter radius before getting towards the exit and forest of trees, this area seemed like the perfect place for some training or fighting, like one that was planned to start up soon.
As the wind made its way across the fields, Marcus was sitting crossed-legged on the green grass with his left arm on his left leg and his left cheek was leaned down on his left fist while he read the small book that was currently in his right hand. As Marcus was done with a page, he simply took his thumb off of the page and leaned it over to the left side so that gravity could finish the job for him as he continued to read the chapter of it while he waited for his fellow Lieutenant for arrive within the area of the training fields that Marcus was currently chilling out in.
Sometime prior to this current event, the 2nd seated shinigami of the 1st division had prompted a challenge to a shinigami by the name of Kito Arashikage, the other 2nd seat of the very same division. This challenge wasn’t the average challenge though as the reasons behind it did not consist of gaining the opponent’s rank or proving the challenger was superior by defeating him in battle. It was just a simple request for a friendly spar in order to cure a little bit of boredom while going through an alternative to training and still producing the same, if not better, results. This meant that winning or losing was not much of a factor here.
Continuing his reading, Marcus was just about finished with the current chapter he was engaging in when he started to feel the presence of someone’s spiritual pressure closing in on his area. After raising his arms up a bit to stretch himself out, Marcus’s right hand closed around the small book encased in it as it seemed to be time to actually get this challenge underway. He simply placed his right foot on the ground as he pushed it down to lift his left leg up enough to place his knee on the grass and ultimately finish the job of standing up as he pushed himself up. Once he was done, Marcus slipped the small book in his right pocket so he could keep his focus as he awaited the presence of Kito Arashikage, his soon to be partner in dismissing boredom and finally having some good old fashion fun.
