PSA Regarding Soul Reapers And The 6th

Prior to my enstatement in this position as Captain of the 6th I made a bit of a mission statement...
 
 

New Captain, new rules.
 
For far too long Shinigami have run amok. Every Shinigami PC has broken a law, most likely MULTIPLE, and gone without punishment. This is unacceptable. If you are to call yourselves a Society than you must have order, you must have control, you must have regulation. This haphazard chaos in which some prisoners are justly contained and some are not, monsters are allowed to roam free while political enemies are contained in the Maggots Nest without a crime, and soldiers are encouraged to show sympathy to their sworn enemy with no fear of punishment. There will be no more of that. 
 
If you defy an order from a superior? Punishment.
If you show mercy to a Hollow or anyone you know to be a half-breed monstrosity? Punishment.
If you fail to grow in strength and are instead wasting resources to do nothing? Punishment.
If you inflict excessive collateral damage on the human world? Punishment.
If you exit your Gigai without cause and expose humans to your pressure? Punishment.
If you fail to use your Jigokucho properly and/or destroy it due to your inability? Punishment.
If you fail to use your Soul Candy to keep your Gigai from undue damages? Punishment.
 
There will be no more of this "not doing your fucking job" shit. You'll do the job your given and you'll do it well. 
 
Or...your help will no longer be required, you're a waste of the Soul Society's resources and will be disposed of as waste.
 
I'm sure the 4th Division has use for as many battered and broken corpses as I can ship their way.
 
In short: you've all grown too soft. Too comfortable. You think this is some sort of game, you think that the destruction of Hollows is merely a 'suggestion'. You've enjoyed the posh and comfortable life of a Soul Reaper while failing utterly at your duties. What can any of you say you've contributed to the world besides being a place holder for someone more useful who might come along? How many of you have let a Hollow escape your grasp? How many of you have allowed these 'Vaizards' to live knowing who and what they are? How many of you have disobeyed an order? How many of you have failed to quell rebellion?
 
How many of you have shown mercy to an enemy?
 
Everyone will be pardoned of past crimes, a blanket gift to this whole rotten society so that I might be able to pick out the few splinters of good wood from it. Every prisoner in holding by the 6th Division will be let free and forgiven of any crimes they have commited. I have no say over the 2nd Division and their containment but if Kyousuke would like to follow suit and simply pass the paperwork through the 6th so that the Maggots Nest detainees appear to be normal criminals with their memories wiped? I'd be agreeable to that. A clean slate for everyone.
 
Any crime you choose to commit afterwards...well...you can imagine how creative I can be when it comes to your punishment.

I believe some of you may have missed this or misunderstood. I think we got off on the wrong foot here...if your foot steps out of line, I will cut it off, tear out the bones, fashion them into bullets, and then force your closest friends to be your firing squad. If you move the other foot over after such a gracious lack of punishment then I may need to just take the whole foot and bludgeon you half to death with it and leave the other half to be slowly granted to you over the course of a six month anatomy lesson in the dungeons. Thats the foot I think we should be on but let me be crystal...
 
Every prisoner in the 6th's hold has been released.
All criminal activity prior to the Incursion has been forgotten and absolved.
You were all given a blank slate, even the half-breed monsters I have permitted to live without exposure.
 
This does not mean you are free to continue breaking the rules you agreed to when you enlisted. Your choice to become a Soul Reaper means that you forfeit your rights, you become a soldier, and you are given great power and protection for it. If you follow the laws, if you do your job, if you please your superiors then there is a bright future for you. Death will come swiftly to your enemies. The world will unfold before you with the keys to locks you did not even know existed...
 
But if you rebel. If you refuse. If you rage and roar, gnash your teeth, and wail like dogs? You will be put down like dogs. The Soul Society has no use for soldiers who will not obey or weapons who ask questions when used. If the 4th has to be continual told not to give the cafeteria utensils sentient AI you sure as hell won't deserve sentience either if you're less useful than a fork. (Do not encourage the 4th Division, they need to get back to work on more important things...)

When you break the law you offend me, you offend the society that Kenshou Ine creates and protects for you, and you offend yourself with the way you defile what it means to be a Shinigami. So it should come as no surprise that if you offend, you will find my punishment to be equally offensive. You will not enjoy what comes out of your behavior. Your ancestors broke the laws like they were consequence-less and indeed they were, nobody sought them out, nobody punished them, nobody put their blade through their hearts as they so justly deserved...
 
You will not be so lucky. I know in the past you may have come to think the 6th Division a useless division of power-tripping gods who believe themselves to be more than they truly are but you missed the memo: there's a real god in charge of it now. A vengeful one. A spiteful one. So when you pursue Hollow powers or fraternize with your sworn enemy? When you defy the orders you are given? When you lay waste to the human race? When you cut down your allies and your peers?
 
Make no mistake you are not breaking laws alone, you are breaking my heart...

All it does is give the most angry thing in the whole of creation a reason to be angry at you specifically and I can promise you that I do not point a gun that isn't loaded. No blanks here I'm afraid. Sakamoto Miki was the very last criminal that was allowed to escape my grasp while I was busy tending to other matters, but none of you will be so luck from now on. Not even she is as lucky as she may believe herself to be, if you want to know what its like to be on the receiving end of my affections then you should ask her how she feels about public transportation.

I don't care how many ways you try to weasel out of the consequences of your actions.
 
Nothing, not on the forum, not in Staffland, not in-universe will save you from the punishment you earned. I've got the death request thread bookmarked, tabbed, and set to open everytime I make a new browser window. You want to be a snowflake? I won't stop you. Its not my place to tell you no, nowhere here have I told you what you can or cannot do. The consequences are just being laid out for you. Minor infractions will result in prison stints, torture, etc. whatever it takes to fix your little 'glitch' whereas major ones will likely result in you being drug out of whatever dimension you thought you could hide in and brought in front of a jury of your peers. If you've done something serious...well, I personally will kill you outright.
 
For those of you already in the middle of law breaking? If I haven't PM'd you about a visit or you don't already know what to expect, I promise its on my to-do list. I have some embers of remaining mercy, I'm sure we can just send you away to the torture chambers for a week and make a proper, model, citizen out of you without terminating your life employment.
