His leg rubbed up against Hikari’s, she didn’t quite know how to react to this and in fact it was kind of odd for her. Her instincts told her to put him into a leg lock or remove his foot from his leg, while another part of her mind wished that he would continue the soft rubbing motion. All and all it was kind of embarrassing to have this happening. He continued to talk to her and tell her that she was a wonderful teacher, and beautiful smart and funny woman. Aki-chan ended saying Hikari was the most fabulous warrior he had ever seen. The cute little girl was pushed back to the reality of the world. She was by far one of the toughest warriors in the Seireitei and her body was a warrior’s body. He didn’t know that underneath this soft kimono she was defined and pretty muscular; she didn’t have the body of a woman. “How could he think I was beautiful and be a wonderful warrior at the same time?†Hikari thought in her head silently.
If Hikari had any clue of what was going on, she would have noticed the look in Aki-chan’s eyes. Right now he wanted to see that body of hers and maybe do other things with her, but luckily for Hikari she was really dense in reading peoples thoughts in this regard. One thing Hikari did notice was his seriousness when he complimented her. The little Captain knew that, or hoped that, Aki-chan was serious about this. She hoped that he would stick with her to the end. Thinking about the many secrets that she kept from everyone in the Seireitei, her disgust with the Chamber of 46, the distrusting feeling she held for the people who ran the whole Soul Society, Hikari sincerely hoped Aki-chan was serious. Not only that, but the creeping change she had been experiencing within her soul. Hikari hoped that Aki-chan would stick with her through all of this.
“Please tell me how you feel... I would hate for my feelings to be completely one-sided...â€
How she felt? She liked him a lot and would love to spend her time with him, but the rational side of her was ever gnawing at her feelings. How could Hikari tell him she liked him a lot? The Capitan didn’t know if this relationship would be considered “tabooâ€, or if it was even allowed. Yes she did like him quite a bit and she would have to tell him that sometime, but right now she wouldn’t tell him outright. Not without a fight. The mischievous smile appeared back onto her face, yes, Aki-chan had made this little girl blush and be awkward for quite some time now, well since they met and now she would make him wait for just a little longer. Hikari still wanted to make sure he was committed to her for the long haul.
â€The kiss wasn’t enough of an answer?†Hikari feigned sheepish embarrassment as she said this in almost a whisper. â€Besides making me say something like that in a Raman shop isn’t all that romantic.†It was the truth. She didn’t feel like this would be the correct scenery to profess her undying love to the man she liked. That should happen during a sunset on a grassy plain by a pond or something like that. If he brought her to a place like that, then maybe she would tell him that. No she wouldn’t be able to not tell him her feeling. The fuzzy feeling in her chest wouldn’t let her keep her mouth shut.
With that cute little smile on her face she waited for Aki-chan’s response.
