Another boring day in the Soul Society. Gakushi got home after sitting under a tree listening to music all day. Walking into his room he yawned to himself, "Man... I'm tired!"
"You've been sitting around all day!" Bariton complained to Gakushi. "Yeah... I'm gonna go to bed." Gakushi replied. Clearly ignoring his zanpakutÅ's wishes, Gakushi crawled into his bed. Resting his head on the pillows he moved sideways with his hands beneath his pillows. Bariton sighed and disappeared back into his inner world.
Waking up in the middle of the afternoon, Gakushi rose up from his bed and stretched his cracking bones. Yawning still, Gakushi rubbed his eyes awake. "Alright... I understand you're lazy, but you need to get something done. You use KidÅ a lot, why don't you invent something to enhance it? You are in the science and research division after all."
"Ugh... Fine, I guess I'll do what I'm supposed to..." Gakushi lazily replied. Bariton nodding his head and smiling at Gakushi's reaction, laid down in mid air, just to disappear to do exactly what Gakushi wanted to do...nothing.
He dragged himself out of his room. Gakushi wasn't fancied up at all, it was his division after all what did he care about how he looked. Scratching his head as he walked down the hallway he reached the laboratory. Opening the big swinging doors, he walked in. Looking around the laboratory it was full of lab tables, tubes, machines, Erlenmeyer Flasks, and beakers. All he needed was some material, the table, and some tools for what he had in mind. He didn't need any fancy flasks or chemicals for his experiment. In the corner of the room was a few big boxes that seemed to be overflowing with junk.
Gakushi walked over to the box and went onto his knees. His back cracking from the tightness in his bones since he was sleeping for so long. Gakushi took out a large sheet of velvet and some scrap metal. Tossing out some more crap he found the last few items he needed, a semi-large battery and some wires. Picking up the junk he chose for his invention, he walked over to the lab table. Dropping these onto the table he opened a drawer attached to the lab table to find tools. Taking out various tools such as needles, screwdrivers, and clamps.
Gakushi started to cut out a glove shape. Using the velvet scraps to cut out another glove shape, he started to sew these together. Pulling the thread out from the glove, he wrapped the thread around his finger and pulled it of. "Oh, I forgot something!" Gakushi exclaimed walking over to the junk box and pulling out various sizes of circuit boards. Gakushi attached one circuit board to each of the finger tips on the glove, and one large one on the palm of the glove. Gakushi attached these with wires, five wires to the large circuit board. Lastly, Gakushi clamped these wires down and connected it to the battery he took out.
"Alright time to test this out..." Gakushi said, walking over to an empty part of the room, "Alright, I'll use a weaker BakudÅ to test this... so I don't kill myself." Gakushi placed the glove onto his right hand and squeezed his fist to fit it. Holding the forearm that was attached the hand with the glove on, he thought of a rather weak BakudÅ. Holding out his hand, he clenched it into a fist. Unbending his index finger out to point towards the wall, Gakushi chanted, "BakudÅ #9 HÅrin, Disintegrating Circle!"
From his finger, a bright yellow light formed. From the yellow light a large burst of energy shot out in the form of a thin rope. The rope twisted around until it reached its target. But before the rope completely left his finger, the wires on the glove burst open, exploded on Gakushi as well as electrocuting him. This blast blew him back and the focus on the kidÅ was released. The whip like beam disintegrated and Gakushi fell back onto his ass with half of his sleeve gone, and a minor burn on his forearm. This boom was easily heard, it was probably loud enough to stretch to the rest of the fourth division rooms. "Ah, fuck! That hurt!" Gakushi shouted wincing in pain, "Those wires are going to have to be enhanced somehow... I'm going to need to infuse some energy into them. I'll get one of the other Shinigami in the division to partake in it." Sitting down cross legged on the floor he was holding his arm and took a deep breathe in, "Mine as well wait for one, they must've heard the explosion."
