Three hours sitting in the meeting room waiting for this kid to show up… Tova thought as light from Karakura Town streamed in through the teeth of the Garganta. The early morning sunlight nearly blinded the otherwise distracted Espada, and he had to left his left arm to shield himself. When his eyes finally adjusted he stepped through, the gateway snapping shut behind him. Although she has given me a good excuse to come to the living world. It’s nice to get out of that dreary desert from time to time.
With nothing better to do for the moment he let his gaze drift out over the town below him. While he stood there an illusion took effect. His Hueco Mundo outfit changed to that of the Shinigami, his hair went from light brown to silky black, the tattoo on his right arm seemed to disappear, and even if his robes were somehow removed his Hollow Hole wouldn’t seem to be present either. It was a rather all-encompassing illusion that made him able to rather convincingly pass for a Shinigami. That is, of course, except for the fact that nothing actually changed. If someone were to grab at the robes, for instance, their hand would pass right through unless they grabbed the real uniform that was there.
Without further ado Tova let his Pesquisa stretch out and cover most of the town. In less than a minute of floating in the air he had located the presence he was searching for: Ciro. With a sigh the Cuarto took off through the air, his aim for the mall she seems to have hidden herself in. Why they allowed Arrancar to up and leave Hueco Mundo at will was beyond him entirely. It made situations like this very difficult and put the general populace at risk from people like Senshu Yamaguchi and Muifong Lee.
Well, not Muifong anymore… Were his thoughts on the latter Arrancar in his list. Muifong had made incredible process as of late. However, this new Ciro that had been assigned to him as a subordinate didn’t seem to be nearly as far along. He had waited three hours in Las Noches before finding out that she wasn’t in Hueco Mundo at all. Which meant that she could only be on Earth, and likely somewhere in Karakura Town. As such it wasn’t surprising to find her spiritual pressure located in a mall. Such a typical location I’d almost think she was a Human girl. Too bad the difference between an Arrancar and Human is rather obvious.
It took him only minutes to arrive. Given the early hours, the mall wasn’t as packed as it would be when noon rolled around. This made it easy for the Cuarto to slip in past people without bumping into anyone. An invisible force pushing through a crowd would draw him more attention than he wanted at the moment. And given that the mall itself had a rather open design it made it much easier for him to move about. Due to that it took him only a few more moments to make it to where Ciro was hiding, and it was something he almost regretted a moment later.
Tova turned the corner only to be assaulted by an array of colors that stuck out from my the more conservative design of the mall. It was, quite obviously, a candy shop. Filled to the brim and beyond with all sorts of sweets that children and young girls alike would dote over if they were in the area. So somehow it was only fitting that the young Arrancar was floating in the middle of the room picking through the various bins of candies. Given that there were only one or two other people in the shop, plus the staff, she probably wouldn’t even be noticed.
So with no real rush pushing him, the Cuarto decided just to stand in the door until her Pesquisa alerted her to his presence.
