Her eyes remained locked to the same spot in the ceiling above that the had been for the last several hours. Dared not to move even the slightest of muscles, dared not to breathe any louder than she absolutely had to in fear of what consequences would come of shattering the tension filled silence that stretched across Las Noches from one end of the artificially lit dome to the other. Little lights flickered in the corner of her mind, star-like in appearance with varying shades of color, and marked their positions within the range of her senses for her to 'touch' to reassure herself that she wasn't dreaming, and that this was something truly happening in the barren landscape that had become the entirety of her world.
Patience.
The strongest thing she could sense from the atmosphere around her. "Waiting", there was dread, anticipation, anxiety, fear, wariness... there was so much else she could pick up on... and yet, nothing compared to that overwhelming silence.
Her arms tightly wrapped about herself, as if she had the strength to ward off and protect herself from the chill in the air, from the way danger seemed to lie imminent, and from the pain she knew was going to come down in full, thundering force from somewhere.
She was going to bring down the entire tower the instant something happened, given how tightly wound her nerves were and the way she trembled like a leaf caught in a brutal autumn wind. Her knees quaked, nearly giving out entirely to spill her against the cold floor with that first step. She cried out, reaching out with the barest flash of power to pull the wall to her, catching herself on the spike that jutted forth at the call.
Outside.
She shouldn't, but she needed to.
Outside meant no one would get hurt if she did panic, if she did lose control. One star 'moved', presence growing closer, closer. Someone else had the same idea, and she nearly threw herself out the door in her haste to meet them. It didn't matter who it was, it could be Takua-- he was up on the roof? Why...? And why was he so...?-- or Amaya-- poor Amaya, she'd been so very on edge the last several times she'd seen her. Not wanting to talk or vent or anything, she'd felt so helpless as to what she could do for her-- or even that pervert would have been welcome company despite not knowing what manners were.
Dew.
Another of the mortals taken prisoner, if interrogated, she'd have had to say he was honestly the prettiest human being she'd probably seen in her life-- male or female alike. He was probably pestered on the street constantly by talent agencies looking to pick him up as a model, the poor thing. Bitter and hostile, if a bit arrogant towards the other Hollow breeds about the place, she liked him nonetheless and had enjoyed speaking with him. Friends were something she found herself rather perilously short of, and having someone else, another human, who could relate and understand what it was she was talking about was... comforting, to say the least.
"You too?" She couldn't say specifics, couldn't say his name in fear of what might happen. Distracted as she believed him to be, the risk wasn't worth taking and she didn't want to be involved any further than she felt she was going to be in the first place. But he felt it, had to. That... that was why he was out of the cell, right? Why he was there instead of lying low like everyone else seemed to be. Her eyes darted to the exit to the tower and back to the silver haired mortal. She couldn't say "come with me", not when she was supposed to be the adult, the older and more experienced of them both.
The more powerful one always took care of those less so. That was just... that was how it was supposed to go.
"I-if you're going outside to... to get a better look, I will accompany you." A trembling smile that she felt was stronger than it likely appeared to be. "Strength in numbers, right?"
