The throne room that acted as the centre of Lissandra’s land remained rather empty today. The hollows who normally adorned the many cracks and crevices of the hall like trophies gone to hunt. Lissandra rarely joined in on her followers hunts these days. It wasn’t so much a hunt, which was defined as pursuing and killing for sport or food, but more a huge mess of many hollows beating on one unfortunate soul. Lissandra liked to hunt and fight, but it made no sense to gain up on one who couldn’t handle even one hollow alone. It made the whole sport less fun. Often she stayed away from hunting with the pack for this very reason. The only time she ventured out alongside companions was when she needed to gain some form of reputation. Save some face with the group despite her recent losses. She could only hope the hollows who followed her hadn’t learnt of them.
Her land covered a wide expanse of land within the desert. Starting with her main throne room her land expanded out in a spherical nature. The tunnels all connected to her main hall all captured and guarded with hollows of all kinds. They wouldn’t die to protect her but their screaming would alert Lissandra to any potential dangers. Like a living security system. Any tunnels that linked to desert above were blocked off and only opened when hollows went out to hunt. It wasn’t the most defensive of things she could do to the tunnels but access to everywhere was required.
The defense mostly required on two things. Primarily that hollows had heard the rumours of an unstoppable hollow beast within those tunnels and ignored that land out of fear, but also that strong opponents were more interested in their own lives to bother involving themselves in hers. For a long time this had worked with Lissandra and her kingdom. The hollows under her command were gaining strength, slowly but surely, whilst Lissandra slowly gained influence and power of her own. One day she would use this army for greater things but for now she was a shepherd to her flock of sheep.
Rumours of her flock were spreading though. At first it was simply among lesser hollows, something Lissandra didn’t mind. It kept order amongst the rabble; but not these rumors were starting to spread far and wide like a wildfire. The closer Lissandra moved to Las Noches the more likely rumours of her forces would reach one who would try take advantage of it. Lissandra was torn on how to feel about it. On one hand Arrancar were scum who did nothing but cheat and manipulate, on the other it was another plane to spread her influence upon.
She had already met many Arrancar. Some nice, most evil. She sat silently upon her throne. The constant chattering and noise from the ever present hollows gone whilst they hunted. She mildly contemplated what she would do when she eventually reached the desert. Was conquering such a foolish dream? Most likely, even she had to admit that. Was there even room for a woman of her ego within that castles halls though? Only time would tell. For no she sat and awaited atop her stone throne. Awaiting nothing in particular but hoping for something exciting all the same.
