What was Shinpei doing? Rebelling because he and Shun got into a drunken fight? Because he was emasculated by his Zanpakutō once again? Because some whore didn’t give him good enough head?
Her anger was barely contained within the gigai she had hardly ever used. Trips to Earth were far a few between considering her duties remained in the interrogation room, or the prison cells, so to say she was used to handling a typical trip to the world of the living would be a stretch. Still, with an hour of debriefing from someone in the Third, she was at least cleared to kick Shinpei’s ass for being such a child.
Shun was just as much to blame for letting his younger brother act so stupidly, but he could wait. At least he wasn’t acting like a spoiled brat. Nevertheless, she saw red when her favored brother had told her what happened. Was he even apologetic? She hadn’t really taken the time to notice, since clearly she was the only one who gave have a shit.
A few choice words were becoming synonymous with Shinpei and Shun.
The greater part of the day had been her walking between clubs, bars, and suggestive parts of town, all of which gave her no leads on where her brother was hiding out. Then again, it was just her looking for him. Not enough time had passed for a full on search and Shun was too busy being stuck up to lend a hand.
So it was just her and Kyōfu, who was more than happy to chime in every time she left a bar empty handed. Most of his words gone unnoticed, or didn’t garner a response for Haruka. Not that he minded, or that he took the hint. At least Haruka could sympathize with Shinpei when it came to annoying Zanpakutō spirits.
She left the umpteenth club of the day, taking in a deep breath of not-sweaty air as she closed her eyes. She was beginning to wonder if his gigai even looked like him. Most of the woman had given confused stares when Haruka provided a picture.
If that was the case, she was royally fucked.
Are you seeing? Seeing the sight that should be saw? Nay, I say! You’re too blinded by introversion, oneesan.
I don’t have time for your silly…
Her eyes opened just in time to catch a flash of hair from a retreating figure, turning a corner with just a bit of haste. Reflex took over, despite her not seeing much of anything other than that dark hair she had grown used to. It was probably no one, but…
“Shinpei!” She called out, doing everything in her power not to growl as she took off after the fleeing figure.
If that was him, she was going to wring his neck and then shove his skull into the nearest wall. If it wasn’t? Well, it wouldn’t be the first time today she had to awkwardly back out of a conversation with some stranger.
