The wind was gushing, cold as if a storm was on its way even while the sky was clear. Droplets flew through the air every time that the waves crashed into the breakwater, sparkling in the sun as they fell. Kasumi's senses sharpened, she had clearly felt a reiatsu signature just now, one that belonged to a Hollow. She might have ignored it, the signature was out in the open sea, she might have walked by and forgot about it if it hadn't been for it being familiar. There were only a handful Hollows that she knew, and Kasumi didn't mind running into either of them. With a quick gaze along the beach, nothing indicated that there was life around except from her own footprints- good, it was time to get closer and get a better idea on who was out there swimming on such a windy day.
Cold liquid seeped through Kasumi's clothes as she reached out in panic. Her eyes stung from the salty water, bubbles came out of her mouth while she screamed his name- but he didn't hear her. He didn't react; he was sinking towards the darkness. A hiss escaped her throat and drowned immediately, going up in the form of a large orb of air, when the fur burned her skin once again. She had forgotten his strange ability to cause sting to her bare skin just by being in contact with it- apparently water didn't do anything about the annoying poison, or whatever it was. Coating her hands in Hebi she pulled while creating reishi platforms beneath her feet, using them as a stairs to get out of the water. Spitting out as much water as she could, Kasumi coughed violently while stabilizing herself on a small disc of reishi. This wasn't something she had expected! Chainhunter didn't seem to react, the was some blood visible on his dark fur and Kasumi hoped that it wasn't his. What the hell was he doing out here in the water? Unconscious? How did he get here to start with? Silvery threads covered the rest of her body; Kasumi tried to hold the large wolf-like creature on her back now, his paws hung over her shoulders, it wasn't easy. Now, she had to get out of here, and fast. Unable to think of anything better but the hut in the woods, she visualized the place in the forest. Using Hebi to tug at the space, she formed a ball, it was a portal big enough for them to step through- hopefully it would lead them to the right place.
Knees buckling she hit the hard wood, with some pulling and pushing Kasumi managed to turn Chainhunter around onto his back. There was no need for Hebi now that she wasn't touching the Hollow. Water leaked from her shoes, though Kasumi wasn't the one who was making the biggest mess. The Hollow was soaked, a puddle had already formed all around him. A shiver ran through her body, Kasumi's eyes took in her surrounding; dust had settled down upon the floor and furniture that had been left behind about a year ago. Ever since the meeting with Agnes Kasumi hadn't been back to this place. But still.. Opening the door to the bathroom she found some dry clothes- damn it, there was only a gray pajama suit with fluffy cat year, but it was warm and dry- the most important thing. With a few towels she made her way to the space that served as the living room. Dropping them near Chain, she tried to scoop up some of the water. Whatever, the towels were left on the floor, soaked.
After a few attempt the fireplace was lit; flames were happily licking at the wood dropped in the fireplace's gaping beak. Not too much warmth, but it would soon spread through the little cabin. Easily shoving the little table to the side, Kasumi dragged her friend closer to the warmth. Her hands were covered in silvery reiatsu again – she wouldn't make the mistake to get burnt again.
“Hunter-san, can you hear me? Can you wake up?”
Softly poking his side she figured that he must be sleeping. It was then that she noticed an orange orb of silk floating nearby. How did the Jellyfish come here? They were supposed to fe- oh oh. No, this one shouldn't eat Chain, he was already tired. With a gentle push she tried to get the Jellyfish out of the Hollow's way. They fed upon the weaker ones, the dying ones..? Wait a second. Kasumi's eyes shot back to the sleeping beast. If the Jellyfish ate.. and Hollows ate.. and Kasumi was like a meal then.. yes! Like Flake!
Sitting next to Chain's head, Kasumi produced a handful reishi orbs. They were small, size of a raisin, but concentrated with power; glowing silver. Vitamins! Using her one arm to tilt Chain's head forward, she carefully opened his mouth with the other before dropping the energy balls into his mouth. Cautiously closing his jaw, she massaged his cheeks and the lower part of his jaw in order to try to stimulate his swallowing. Kasumi had tried it with Angel when the kitten was sick and needed to take a pill – one Angel wasn't fond of eating, it had worked. Hopefully this time it would work out just fine as well.
“Chainhunter-san? Can you wake up? Everything will be alright when you wake up. Please wake up.”
It was already a bit warmer in the room, the fire doing its job well, heating up the space while illuminating it somewhat. The wood cracked slowly as the flames devoured it. They fed on the wood, and Chainhunter could feed on Kasumi's reiatsu, like the Jellyfish fed on Hollow's – everything would be fine, Kasumi was certain of that.
