It was a bright and sunny day off the coast of Japan without any clouds in the sky. The ocean was calm and waves were gently crashing into rocks, it was the perfect day for sailing. For so long, the memories of human existence scurried through the mind of the Arrancar. Soran figured it was about time to visit the place of his death, which had occurred over four-hundred years ago. The memories of water filling his lungs still haunted the warrior to this very day. It was a terrible event of misfortune that had cost him a normal life. As tragic as this may seem, Soran viewed the event as a mild blessing, which allowed him to obtain his current status in the afterlife. After becoming an Arrancar he returned to the World of the Living and had been residing there ever since.
Sitting aboard a cargo ship heading to Japan, Soran mascaraed as a refugee with no money. The Arrancar was leaning against some crates with his hood up, covering his eyes from the sunlight. He suddenly realized a shadow was casting down upon him from one of the crew members aboard the ship "What the hell is a kid doing on the ship?" he inquired. Soran remained silent and didn't even give the slightest response to the comment. "The captain doesn't take kindly to stowaways on his ship ya know!"
"Then don't tell him." Soran responded calmly.
"Heh." the crew member scoffed. "And why should I do that? You have anything to offer me for keeping my mouth closed?"
"Your life." the Arrancar replied coldly while glancing up at the man with his bright golden eyes. As he said this, he extended his right arm outward towards the man who had interrupted his relaxation. In the center of his metal palm, a cero began to form.
Eyes widened, the crew member called out "CAPTAIN!!!!" before getting blasted off the ship with a crimson red beam of energy. The blast wasn't too powerful, but it would leave nasty burns on the man whom was just shot into the salt water. This alerted everybody else on the ship and the crew surrounded the hooded Arrancar propped against a crate.
Letting out a sigh, Soran muttered under his breath "Dammit..." before standing to his feet and removing his hood.
"Th... That's the demon from the harbor!" one of the men cried out before every single one of them pulled out guns and opened fire on the humanoid Hollow. A flashback hit Soran of being shot with muskets as a human and caused an expression of shock to hit his fact before realizing that the bullets currently being fired were passing right through him. They were phasing through as if it was nothing and it shocked him. A sly grin creeped on Soran's face and revealed his mouthful of razor-sharp fangs.
Using his Sonido, Soran flickered around the ship at high speed and began to tear each person that had fired at him limb from limb with his claws and teeth until the boxes of cargo were painted red with blood. Now that the entire crew lay slain, curiosity got the better of the swift warrior. He began to open the cargo crates and investigate. He found numerous guns and rifles on board. "Since when were the Japanese allowed to carry firearms again?" He thought aloud to himself, remembering that it was guns that had ended his own life as a human. "Well, can't have that." he laughed as he began to take each individual crate with guns in them and throw them overboard into the ocean. Once that was finished, Soran noticed land up ahead. It was a small island off the coast of japan, it was his destination.
An uneasy feeling then hit Soran, he had a feeling that he wasn't alone on the ship. Then it hit him "The Captain!" he stated out loud, realizing that whoever was steering the ship must still be alive. But now with no crew, what would happen next? There is no way the captain wouldn't have noticed the cero blast from earlier, so why did they not come out yet? Perhaps they weren't alone. Regardless, Soran was almost at the destination. He would just have to continue riding the boat for a few more minutes until they reached the island. But there was no telling what might happen before their destination is reached. He would just have to keep an eye out and be prepared for anything.
