So, I've been kind of absent for the past like month or two. I've had the chance to post intermittently during that time, but this weekend was the first week I've felt that I'm actually apart of BG again. Work and a bunch of other life things came up and kind of just destroyed the time and energy I had to write. I think I'm past all of that and I hope I'll be jumping back into writing with full force!
In the meantime, one of the better things that have been taking up my time has been Elite: Dangerous, a space simulator that allows you to do almost anything you can think of in SPACE. I love space and this game is completely drop dead gorgeous.
My most recent project has been trading and saving up my money so I can afford an exploration ship. I want to fly hundreds of light years from inhabited space and sustain myself on the energy from a sun while seeing more and more of the beautiful space scenery.
After a bit of research and work, I was able to afford a freighter and use it make big bucks!
Big bucks in the form of...
Slaves!
But don't fret, these are Imperial slaves! They have sold themselves into slavery to work off their debts and create a new life for themselves.
And just look at that profit margin!
WOOOO!
250,000+ credits each cycle works perfectly for my master plan. It's a really easy route and I can relax and fly in fucking space while watching or listening to some good media.
After a lot of working, I finally saved up enough money to buy the ship of my dreams...
Meet the Asp Explorer! The leading ship in space exploration! It may look clunky and definitely loses cool points to the Diamondback Explorer. But I want the best and I will spare no expense! The Asp is much better in terms of jump distance and points to place equipment. Plus, look at that canopy:
I can see all of the amazing things that the galaxy has to offer!
I have quickly put in more hours into Elite: Dangerous than I have to a game in a long, long time. There is just something about the majestic beauty and realism that keeps drawing me back.
Three stars locked in an orbit around each other! This was on of the things on my bucket list. I would have settled for a two sun system with a desert planet, but this will definitely do. Other things on my bucket list include a nebula, an Earth-like planet with a ring around it, a black hole, and much more. This tri-star system had already been found by someone, but I hope to soon start finding things that have never been seen by any other human eyes. With life abating a bit, I'm hoping I can keep exploring the universe and ease myself back into BG life.
Ooof, just remembered Fallout 4 comes out this week.
