Las Noches was a big placed, filled with many different people and creatures. For the better part of 15 years, the unicorns hadn’t really been much of socialites. Instead they opted to hang around the edges of the city, slowly getting stronger until they felt comfortable enough to lurk deeper into the city and meet more of their neighbors. But that’s how living as a Hollow was. In constant fear of the stronger Arrancar and more powerful Hollow. To live your life in fear was to live as a Hollow.
But the unicorn’s personalities never hinted at that. Maybe Airi’s quick nature to expose her belly did, but Nori was bold and brash. He often went forward without thinking and dived into situations that were probably not for the best for the both of them. More often than not, Airi would ring him in and get him to realize what he was doing, but lately he had become restless.
As the two of them wandered Las Noches, occasionally chatting with some of the friendlier Hollow, the two of them talked among themselves.
“Should we meet the king at some point?” Nori hummed out his question as he looked to the castle. “I feel like he could give us more direction on how to get stronger.”
“Absolutely not,” Airi hissed and gave him a sideways glare. “He’d laugh us straight out of the building before we could even take a step inside. We need to wait until we’re strong enough to at least look him in the eye.”
Nori made a sound of reluctant agreement before looking in another direction. Again, without any warning, he branched off from Airi and made his way to a lonely looking Arrancar. Naturally, Airi was forced to follow along, though she stayed a few paces behind her darker counterpart.
“Hi there,” Nori looked down at the Arrancar, his eyes shining with friendliness. “You look sort of down. Having a rough day?”
