Her head had tilted to the side the moment she stepped out into the World of the Living. Sniff, sniff. The scent she was catching was rather faint, barely touching her flaring nostrils as nails reached up to pick at her lip. Another Arrancar? Here? No... around here. Whatever it was would have already been diminutive in what she could catch of it, but distance made it softer.
Ah, it also made her fonder.
She always loved a good hunt and today she was practically raring with energy. Forget bothering the silly meat toys! She found a playmate she might actually be able to drag some fun out of. Still, even as her claws dug into the air and she pounced in a rough estimate of where she needed to go, she knew something was off. The taste that dragged itself through her fanged canines, bared in an ever-present grin, was similar to her own species but not a direct match.
There was a thrill to the unknown that was dragging itself up her arched spine while she ran.
She followed her nose and her Reiatsu, honey eyes glaring under the sun of one city as she crossed into another. It wasn't a familiar place but she had only seemed to frequent one place as every other species in this world and her own did. How coincidental was that? Ah, but that place always had a distinct... flavor...
She shook the detours out of her mind, allowing herself a playful huff while she continued her bounding chase. No, she was focused now, as focused as her narrowing yet mischievous eyes could allow her to be. Landscape blurred by under her. She could practically feel the foreign Reiatsu now, though it left a lingering presence much like an afterthought. It wasn't strong, just enough for her to latch on to and amuse herself.
She didn't need to explain herself further than her curiosity. What's a creature of desire to do when something peaks their interest?
Fulfill it.
Ah, how she enjoyed this. A bothersome thought crept into her mind, one that made her halt for a second before yet again taking off. It'd be quite a situation if this was a Shinigami she was accidentally going to meet. She could win any scuffles, of course, she was the Queen after all and she lost to no one...
Yet...
No, no 'yet's. This would turn out wondrously! She just needed to find out what that smell was. She had to know. If it was an Arrancar she'd allow herself a bit of playing today. Oh, hopefully it was male! If it wasn't an Arrancar, however, she'd have to approach the situation a little differently.
Perhaps with a bit more vigor!
Eventually she skidded to a stop, head lifting and nose twitching. She was at the spot, now, she thought, eyes scanning the scattered playthings going about their lives under her. Most were completely unaware of her presence, and this not being that town she figured not too much attention would be drawn to her.
Not that she often minded attention. Eyes slit, a low rumble began to build in her throat as she searched out the source of the smell. It wasn't long before she felt as if she caught it once more, hunching slightly before straightening herself out. She had to appear as she was. Regal. Composed. Charming words already began to bubble on her lips in anticipation. She'd play this one as she always had.
Now what are you, she thought, stepping down through the air as if it was no more than stairs. A final step and a high-heel hit the ground with a *tap* before the other joined it. She straightened out her skirt and fluttered manicured nails, painted red, against her cheek before she spoke at the man now sitting before her. The picture of amiability, she was, a polite smile the only trace of emotion she displayed.
"Salut! Who are you?~"
