On The Surface
Name: Daichi Sato
Age / Apparent Age: 416 / 25
Gender: Male
Height & Weight: 5ft 8in / 9st 7lb
Sexuality: Asexual
Dominant Hand: Left
Hair & Eyes: Daichi has short, thin and golden brown hair with large receding hairlines. However you cannot see these hair lines well as he has his hair combed over to the left and styled so that it spikes upwards a little bit. His side burns reach to about the centre of his ears are, where they have been cut straight. He has light facial hair that covers his upper lip and chin and then extends to his ears. He also has eyebrows that are golden brown like his hair and bushy, with distinguishable spikes that points upwards on the ends of his brow, giving them a fishtail appearance.
His eyes are an emerald green with a dark blue or black outline to them. They are also shaped like stretched out hexagons and appear to be constantly tired with loose eyelids and bags under the eyes (although they are quit small). He also has short black eye lashes. He is sometimes seen wearing large square glasses with black frames on the front and brown on the back although he doesn't wear them often. However when he is in the World of the Living, he will be seen wearing them all the time, especially when he is in a Gigai.
Physical Description: Daichi has soft pinkish skin with freckles covering his face and arms, although they are hardly noticeable. His body build is quite thin yet much defined, but he doesn't have any visible abdominal muscles. This means other Shinigami underestimate him and believe he is very weak. He has short legs that are very hairy on the lower half (shins and calves). He also has hair on his arms but they are very small and easy to miss.
He wears a standard Shinigami uniform with a lilac belt with the knot tied up at the back. He wears a dark green vest top underneath the uniform which is clear to see as he wears his uniform very loosely on the top half, making his colleagues think he is lazy and too laid back. And his body language doesn't help. With bad posture, tired looking face and hands always in the pockets, it’s no wonder people think he's lazy. He walks with a shuffle and drag of the feet and his movements are quite slow and tired. (But that’s when he's not fighting).
When in the World of the Living and in a Gigai, he tends to wear a dark red/maroon hoodie along with a black body warmer. But when it’s warm He doesn't have the body warmer and has his hoodie unzipped, showing that he wears a teal coloured t-shirt with the word "SANE" written on it in black. He also wears grey skinny jeans with a green belt (the belts has different shades of green stripes on it) as well as dark blue and red trainers with the letter "V" written on the outer sides of the trainers.
Spiritual Description: His Reitsu is a dark, murky purple with a lilac outer lining to it. It appears to undulate and emits an odd, stingy and lingering smell but it is very light so can get used to it quite quickly. It looks very viscous and sticky, moving slowly and giving off a lower tone grumbling sound as it sways. It appears to cling on to Daichi and anything he touches like a snail trail.
Behind The Eyes
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Ideal: Independence – “When people follow orders blindly, they embrace a kind of tyranny”
Bond: “I work for the sake of those I once loved, and to prove to those who doubt me that I am a good man.”
Enneagram: Type 5 - The Investigator - The Intense, Cerebral Type: Perceptive, Innovative, Secretive, and Isolated
Personality: As the Enneagram suggests, Daichi is a very perceptive and secretive person. He doesn't usually mingle with others as he believes making too many connections can create unnecessary burdens and worries that he doesn't really have time for. He is a very work oriented person, taking his role seriously and doesn't like it when people get in his way or are just there like a bad smell. When out of work or stressful situations, he is very laid back and slow, causing many misunderstandings between him and his colleagues thinking he's lazy and weak.
Positive Qualities:
Great Analyst and Abstract Thinker – Daichi views the world as a big, complex machine, and recognises that as with any machine, all parts are interrelated. Daichi excels in analysing these connections, seeing how seemingly unrelated factors tie in with each other in ways that bewilder most other people.
Imaginative and Original – These connections are the product of an unrelenting imagination –Daichi’s ideas may seem counter-intuitive at a glance, and may never even see the light of day, but they will always prove remarkable innovations.
Honest and Straightforward – To know one thing and say another would be terribly disingenuous. Daichi doesn't often go around intentionally hurting feelings, but he believes that the truth is the most important factor, and he expects that to be appreciated and reciprocated.
Negative Qualities:
Very private and withdrawn – While Daichi's intellectualism yields many insights into his surroundings, his surroundings are ironically considered an intrusion on his thoughts. This is especially true with people. Daichi becomes easily agitated in social settings. More complicated situations such as parties exacerbate this.
Insensitive – Often times, Daichi's mind gets so caught up in his logic that he forgets any kind of emotional consideration. He'll dismiss subjectivity as irrational and tradition as an attempt to bar much-needed progress. Purely emotional situations are often utterly puzzling to him, and his lack of timely sympathy can easily offend.
Absent-minded – When Daichi's interest is captured, his absence goes beyond social matters to include the rest of the physical world. Daichi becomes forgetful, missing even the obvious if it's unrelated to his current infatuation, and he can even forget his own health, skipping meals and sleep as he muses.
Condescending – Attempts at connecting with others are often worse than his withdrawal. Daichi takes pride in his knowledge and rationale, and enjoys sharing his ideas, but in trying to explain how he got from A to B to Z, he can get frustrated, sometimes simplifying things to the point of insult as he'll struggle to gauge his conversation partners' perspective. The ultimate insult comes as Daichi gives up with a dismissive "never mind".
Loathes Rules and Guidelines – These social struggles are partly a product of Daichi’s desire to bypass the rules, of social conduct and otherwise. While this attitude helps his strength of unconventional creativity, it also causes him to reinvent the wheel constantly and to shun security in favour of autonomy in ways that can compromise both.
Second-Guess' Himself – Daichi remains so open to new information that he'll often never commit to a decision at all. This applies to his own skills as well. Daichi knows that as he practices, he'll improve, and any work he does is second-best to what he could do. Unable to settle for this, Daichi sometimes delays his output indefinitely with constant revisions, sometimes even quitting before he ever begins.

(Soul Society)
Work oriented activities - researching new things and coming up with new and crazy ideas's. His enjoyment of science is one of the many reasons none of his work will be fully completed as he comes up with new ideas on the fly, often abandoning old projects to be picked up by other collegues.
Fishing - Nothing beats a relaxing day by a river and enjoying the calmness of it all. Daichi will often sit for hours catching fish only to send them back. He may seem to use that time making notes and calculations but that's probably why he enjoys it so much, easily doing two things at once.
(Land of the Living)
Tinkering- When traversing the land of the living, Daichi will often find himself finding odd parts of technology and devices and messing around with them, seeing how they work and if can either fix them or make something new.
Arcade Gaming- "What are these strange devices used for entertainment?" Would be something he used to say, now it's hard to peal him of the damn machines. He enjoys beating the local chirldren at these game. It ammuses him greatly.
Dislikes
(Soul Society)
Social Get-Togethers - Whenever his work friends want to go out for a drink, Daichi never wants to join them. He barely likes people when they are sober, he hates them even more when they are mindless and rowdy.
Strength of the World
Name: Kurushimi (苦しみ meaning "Suffering")
Gender: Unknown
Release Phase: Make 'em Scream
Elemental Alignment: Kido Type
Spirit world: Daichi calls it the wasteland. This is because it looks like the world has been burnt to a crisp, scattered with burnt and dead trees, with a few bones that can be found here and there. Kurushimi says that it looks this way due to his "burning desire" to make it up to Megumi. To which Daichi always replies with "How can a motive so true and innocent, create something so rotten and unbearable ..." It smells like dry and burnt wood with a slight hint of sulfer. Although after a while you do get used to it.
Release Stance: There are many ways to Release Kurushimi but the idea is that the blade has to draw blood from Daichi. The one Daichi does the most is where he throws the sword into the air and making it spin rapidly. He then extends his right arm outwards and catches the zanpakuto by the blade, with the handle pointing up ward to the sky. He will then say the release command "Make 'em Scream" and point the handle to the ground, letting the blood from his hand go down the blade to which he states its name, "Kurushimi".

(A page showing Daichi releasing his Zanpakuto)
Appearance: Kurushimi's spiritual manifestation takes the form of a large, Purple, gelatinous, mass with no facial features whatsoever. It speaks through its conscience and has a low pitched voice that’s very grumbly and loud. When it moves it leaves a dark purple trail behind it, much like a snail trail as I've mentioned before, and it makes a rather quiet dragging sound, much like a large boulder being dragged along concrete.
In its sealed state, Kurushimi takes the form of a Tachi, It is 70 centimetres in its cutting edge length (nagasa) and compared to a katana which is generally lighter in weight in proportion to its length, a Tachi has a greater taper from hilt to point, which is more curved and has a smaller point area. Its sheath is purple in colour and Daichi has it tied to his belt with a white cord on his left hand side so that the blade faces up when he draws it. The guard is a simple circle with lines engraved in it that go from the centre outwards. These lines resemble a some what veiny appearance.
When released into its Shikai form, Kurushimi takes the form of a short hooked blade. It also has a smaller hooked blade at the end of the hilt but it faces the opposite way, parallel to the main blade. It's designed like this so that it can be thrown and latch in the enemy. It can also be used for hacking enemies at close range, clinging onto them and tearing the flesh. The Hand Guard also has a metal strap that extends out and wraps round Daichi's wrist. It's an addition to the original Shikai form after an agreement between Kurushimi and Daichi. Although it's not been revealed what this straps purpose is, many have said that its used to draw blood straight from Daichi’s main blood circulatory system in order to keep providing his Zanpakuto with the required amount of blood and can be given to it whenever. The Strap can also extend and stretch in order for Daichi to use ranged attacks by throwing or more rapid attack by spinning the zanpakuto in a circle.
Zanpakuto Abilities:
Kurushimis abilities and the usage of them needs to be carefully monitored by Daichi. Almost like a set of scales, Daichi needs to keep the balance between how much blood he gives and how much power Kurushimi uses. Should this balance be disrupted or if Daichi collapses from blood loss, Kurushimi will lose control and engulf Daichi.

Should this balance be disrupted or if Daichi collapses from blood loss, Kurushimi will lose control and engulf Daichi.
Gensui (減衰 meaning "Decay"): Kurushimi will secrete a corrosive substance that will break down an opponents Reishi or any inanimate objects Reishi, giving it the look of being eaten away. The reishi that has been broken down will slowly begin to return to it's normal state so it's only temporary but will provide Daichi with a necessary gap in the opponents defences. Daichi can apply this as a close range by letting it seep out of his blade during a block or deal more damage with his swing or at long range by swinging his sword and firing the substance like a wave or small orbs.
Type: Passive/Active
Type: Passive/Active
Yuushinbunretsu (有糸分裂 meaning "Mitosis"): Kurushimi can copy itself as long as Daichi keeps providing it with blood. However if too many copies are made, Daichi will become engulfed by Kurushimi. So usually Daichi makes only two copies and dual wields but on rare occasions has he made more. When split in two or more, the strap on the hilt is only the original zanpakuto and only the original Zanpakuto can perform Gensui.
Type: Active
Gensū bunretsu (減数分裂 meaning "Meiosis"): A more risky technique, Daichi can use the abilities similar to Yuushinbunretsu in order to create copies of his own physical body. However these copies are mindless and have no personality of their own. They work more like a hive mind and act to Daichis will. The more copies Daichi makes the less capable they are at doing things as less and less blood is shared between them. If these copies recieve enough damage, the blood used to make them will return to Daichi. Only the Orginal Daichi can perform Gensui.

History:
1563-1600
Daichi was born in a small farming village in England. He lived quiet a happy childhood and was pleased with the simple life. He was never schooled nor educated in the sciences, he was just a cattle farmer trying to help his family get by. It was only until an old army veteran came to village and spoke rumours of machines that could destroy castle walls in an instant, and machines that could launch boulders the size of houses. It was at this moment Daichi found his love.
He moved to the city and researched many technologies and weaponry. But sadly one day, when someone decided to showcase the Trebuchet, Daichi got too into it and got his nose caught in places it shouldn't be. While he was getting a closer look at the Trebuchet, he set it off and a loose piece of rope got caught around his neck, flinging him along with rocks into the air, but the rope didn't let go of him...
So the rocks were sent into the horizon and Daichi got left on the Trebuchet, hung by his neck.
He wandered as a Plus for 9 years, running from hollows and watching his hard work go to waste, but for some reason he accepted his fate and embraced this new plain of existence he was in, despite being chased by Hollows every now and then. Until he was stopped by a Shinigami. Before the Konso was performed, Daichi asked the Shinigami about things like the Soul Society and the Hollows, where they came from and what the zanpakuto was and what it did. It too a total of 2 days of Daichi nagging the Shinigami with his questions before he was finally sent to the SS.
1600 - 1700
Daichi was taken into a family that lived in the forest of the 15th Northern Rukon District. It was a decently sized hut made up of wood and straw, much like his house in the world of the living. It was located by a large river where he was taught to fish and he was rather good herbology by collecting various types of herbs and spices from the forest. He lived with and old man and woman of whom he referred to as Gramps and Nan. They had a young daughter called Megumi that Daichi grew very fond of. He'd help her out with basic chores and cooking, looked after when she was ill and kept her happy. Other residents from the district would mistake them for a couple a lot, and it wasn't like Daichi hadn't considered it but he knew she saw him more like a brother, and he didn't mind.
Megumi decides to become a soul reaper, joining the academy and leaving Daichi to look after her Parents. And he did happily as long as Megumi visited them every now and then. And so Daichi kept up his daily life and was regularly visited by Megumi and all was good. Until one night while Daichi was collecting herbs in the forest for Megumi’s visit in the morning, a hollow had crept into the house and slaughtered Gramps and Nana. Gramps tried to protect Nana but his frail body got the better of him. Upon Daichi’s return, the hollow had already left, leaving their bodies on the floor. The hollow had killed for the sake of sport. Daichi collapsed upon seeing the sight and had a panic attack, screaming and crying before he lost consciousness. When he woke in the morning, Megumi had already found the bodies and they were cleared up. She was sat on the front porch with her head in her hands, crying and who could blame her. Daichi went to comfort her, but she pushed him away and started yelling at him. Tears were streaming down her face as she screamed "I trusted you too look after them!" and "You could've protected them!" Before running off back to the Seireitei.
Filled with guilt and anger, Daichi promised he'd get stronger and avenge Gramps and Nana and make it up to Megumi. He wasn't angry at her for what she said to him, she was technically right. He blamed himself and grieved for a long time before joining the Academy. Although he wasn't too good with his studies. If it wasn't for his exceptional skills in hand-to-hand combat and technological skills, he may never have graduated. But he pushed on and joined squad 4 as his great mind and ability was proven to be useful for them.
1700 - 1800
It was at the beginning of this century when Daichi first achieved his zanpakuto’s Shikai form, and it was the first time he laid eyes on its horrendous spirit manifestation. He was ultimately disgusted by it and he told his comrades once that it made him sick upon seeing it. However he was quick to accept it as it is. He knew that he couldn't change it and it was pointless complaining about it. So he kept talking to Kurushimi every night, sometimes about general things, sometimes he'd discuss tactics, reports or even ask him for advice once. Daichi was led to believe that his zanpakuto was a Melee type and He found out that Kurushimi was a very mischievous and dark being that couldn't be trusted. But Daichi believed that as long as it was a zanpakuto, it couldn't hurt others. How he was wrong...
On a mission to retrieve some data and research material, Daichi and his team were attacked by a Hollow and a really powerful one. It took out his team and was pressuring Daichi, and seeing the unconscious, injured bodies of his comrades was reminding him of the time he lost Gramps and Nana, forcing him to release his zanpakuto but something was different. His Zanpakuto wouldn't take proper form, they were just some gooey mass like Kurushimi’s spiritual manifestation. Then he heard "Let your fear Consume you... Allow me to take over" in his head. Kurushimi had taken over Daichi and the purple mass got bigger and bigger, taking in trees Daichis and his team with it. But Daichi wouldn't let Kurushimi devour him. He started to fight back Kurushimi and force it away, back into the zanpakuto. But it was already too late. Where the mass had been left a burnt and desolate area, the hollow had been stripped to the bone, but so had his team mates. Daichi had murdered his fellow soul reapers.
It wasn't long before the Seireitei caught on and Daichi fled to the world of the living. Where he lived under the shadows for many years. He had taken shelter away in the mountains where he stayed at a temple with monks, they looked after him, not knowing of his crimes and that he was even a soul reaper. Their temple housed many souls waiting to be passed on and Daichi disguised himself as one, out growing his hair to shoulder length and covering his face.
1800 - 1900
It was during this time when the Temple he resided was ambushed and over powered by hollows believed to be of Adjuchas rank. Not even the special barrier holding them back was enough to stop them. Daichi knew he had to do something in order to save the Wholes and the Monks. But as he hesitated, more and more souls were being devoured. He knew that if he was to reveal himself as a soul reaper, he would be captured shortly afterwards, but he owes the temple his life so he fought back and dealt with the hollows, saving the remaining monks and wholes. And it wasn't long before a large group of soul reapers surrounded Daichi and took him away.
The Court sentenced Daichi to life imprisonment and solitary confinement for the murder of 3 fellow Shinigami and resisting arrest. He was sent to a detention area and spent the majority of the century by himself. But he never went crazy or harmed himself, all the way through he just laid on his bed and accepted that this was his fate and he couldn't do anything about it.
1900 - 2000
For almost a hundred and fifty years Daichi spent in the detention area. He didn't do much obviously and because of this he gained a very lazy and sloppy attitude and a terrible posture. He was withering away slowly. Of course he did try to prevent it by doing exercise but was quick to get bored of it and go back to sleep.
However there was a light at the end of the tunnel, or at the end of the century for that matter. He was payed a visit by an Unfamiliar face but a very familiar garment. A new captain of Squad Four had come to get Daichi out of prison on a wager. The deal was if Daichi helped Squad Four with a certain research task, and they completed it with positive results, he'd be allowed to return to his post. But Daichi refused. When the captain asked him why, Daichi told him that he wanted to know what has been happening for the past year and if his old friend Megumi was still alive.
The captain shook his head, Megumi died while Daichi had fled to the World of the Living. Upon hearing this Daichi broke down into tears and cried with his for head on the floor. Feeling sorry for Daichi, the Captain went against the rules and gave Daichi a letter. He said that it was from Megumi and addressed to him and that he should read it. It was still sealed so Daichi was the first to open it. Daichi's frail hand reached out between the bars and took the letter, opening it slowly before reading it. It said:
Dear Daichi,
I doubt you remember me and if you do I doubt you'll ever forgive me
for what happened all those years ago. I never meant to hurt you like that,
I should have never said those words to you. It was never your fault,
I know that, but out of my blind, emotional rage, I took it all out on you and
I am sincerely sorry about it. There isn't a day that goes past when I don't regret
ever treating you in such a way. You were a great man,
And you cared deeply for Grampa, Nana and I.
you'd even look after me when I was sick and I couldn't thank you enough.
sometimes I felt like I loved you, and I somehow enjoyed how
we were always mistaken for a couple. And it was not like I
hadn’t considered it, but I knew that you'd just see me
As a sister.
I know you didn't mean to kill your friends, you'd never do that.
Because you were always kind to people, no matter how bad they were to you,
And I always admired that about you.
I also know that if you're reading this then I've already gone.
But just know that I'll always be watching over you
And looking after you no matter where you are. And if you ever get
the opportunity to have things return to how they used to be, then you take it
And never lose sight of it. Because if there is anything I want more,
It's for you to come back home and visit Grampa, Nana and I.
We miss you Daichi, and know that we are waiting for you.
Lots of love,
Megumi
Upon reading this, Daichi cried even harder, and cried for a very long time as the Captain waited patiently for him to pull himself together. Daichi then stood up and agreed to return but it wasn't for him, the captain or the squad, he was doing it for her and her alone.
2000 - Present
After his agreement was complete and he finished his research, he got what he was promised, he was allowed to return to his post and have his charges lifted. The captain even allowed Daichi to have a few days off work to move into the house that Megumi used to stay in. I was a nice decent sized wooden house sat in a small wood to the south between the Squad 4 barracks and the Squad 5 barracks. It had an extremely striking resemblance to the one they both grew up in before they became soul reapers. Being filled with memories, Daichi had tears coming down his face once more, but these weren't sad ones. He was happy, finally happy to come home after all these years. The house hadn't been touched since Megumi had died by her wishes so everything was how she left it. Daichi could just picture her now walking around the house doing various things.
He went outside into the back garden to find three stones in a row. They were the graves of Nana, Gramps and Megumi. Daichi knelt down before them and smiled.
"I'm home..."
Role-play Sample:
Daichi walked out of the front gates of his home to find a group of Squad 2 recruits gathered at the end of the street. They all looked up at Daichi and scowled.
Being the laidback kind of guy he is, Daichi gave a slight nod and shuffled off in the opposite direction, dragging his feet and yawning as he walked. "They are there again... don't they have anything better to do?" he muttered to himself as he walked into the Squad 4 Laboratory to join his team. Still only being a recruit, Daichi was often sent out to gather information and collect samples for research. But just because he's a recruit doesn't mean he isn't respected. He is seen as one of the longest lasting squad members among his peers.
His team wave at him from one end of the Lab and Daichi waves back. He slowly shuffles his way over and leans on the table, "Sorry I'm late again lads... I had a rough night"
"Another?" said the younger team member.
"You should come out drinking with us then, y'know? To ease your mind on things ha ha!" Bellowed an older looking team member, with his arms crossed as he cackled.
"Yeah well you know I don't drink remember, but thanks for the invite." Daichi smiled gratefully to his team mates and then sat down on the nearest chair, crossing his arms and raising one leg to rest on his knee. "So what’s the plan today?" He asked, scratching at his stubble upon his chin.
"Well we've been asked to collect data on a recent hollow sighting in the Rukongai."
"Where abouts?"
"29th District in the East located at these co-ordinates" A bearded member said as he passed Daichi a sheet of paper.
Daichi scanned over the sheet quickly and got to his feet. "Right well I guess I'll head over there now then." He then headed towards the exit.
"You sure you'll be okay by yourself?" Asked the younger member, He had a concerned look on his face.
"This is me we are on about here, I'll be fine!" Daichi gloated and headed out the front door, dragging his feet once more.
Being his laid back self, Daichi walked through the Seireitei slowly, he didn't fancy running. He took a while to get to his destination but he got there with no issues. He looked around at the co-ordinates and there were nothing. There was just trees and nothing else and it was getting dark. "What the hell am I supposed to bring back?” He waddles about in the trees achieving nothing. "This is stupid..." he mutters to himself.
A slight rustle in the nearby bushes catches Daichi's attention. There was no wind so nothing could have made them move and so Daichi prepares himself for the worst. With his hand on his zanpakuto, he waited for whatever was in the bush to jump out at him, he waited... and waited... and waited...
"Oh c'mon already! You're wasting my time!" Daichi blurted out in an impatient rage, kicking a small stone into the bush, to which a load roar emits from the leaves. A large four legged Hollow jumps out at Daichi with its mouth wide open but he stops the hollow with his hand and examines it closely. "Hmm... a quadruped? Well aren't you a common type..." Daichi says to the Hollow quietly. "You're not worth brining back to the lab" And with the other hand he quickly pulls out his zanpakuto and slices the hollow with a swift movement.
"I might as well go back, it's going to get pretty late soon." He puts his zanpakuto back into its sheath and begins to walk back to the Seireitei.
"Where do you think you're going?” It happened in a flash, blood starts to drip from Daichi’s arm as a slash comes from his shoulder.
"Tsk!" Daichi turned back to see two more hollows behind him, both looked exactly like the one he had just killed.
"Didn't they teach you not to turn your back on the enemy, Shinigami?!" Said one hollow with a smug look on its face.
But all of a sudden the hollow had been split in half, Daichi had flash stepped behind it, with his sword drawn. "Didn't they teach you not to speak unless spoken too?" Daichi let out a small laugh. But the bliss was short lived as the hollow that had been split in two began to change and two more hollows stood in its place.
"Ha ha ha! Did you think it would be that easy Shinigami! You are all the same! You think that just by swinging your sword will solve your problems, but not this time!"
Daichi let out a long and unimpressed sigh. "All right fine you've peaked my interest, even if it is just a bit. But let’s test this and see how many times you can multiply."
"So be it!" The hollows howl before lunging themselves at Daichi.
It wasn't long before the hollows were large in their numbers and Daichi was very impressed. He claps his hands in amazement. "Oooo you really can multiply a lot, I might even die if I ain't careful ha ha." he chuckled.
"Are you mocking me? Let's see who’s laughing when we devour you whole!" The Hollows surround Daichi, piling up on him in a giant heap.
And with a large red flash, there was a huge explosion coming from inside the mountain of hollows, blowing them all up, leaving very little trace of their spiritual pressure. Standing where the pile used to be, Daichi brushed himself off of the dust that got on him. "Well that was a bit more interesting than nothing, At least I have something to report." He collects a bit of Reitsu in a small vile and slips it into his pocket before heading back to the Lab. He didn't want to be outside anymore, he just wanted to sleep, so he used Flash step back to the Lab.
When Daichi reaches the Lab, his team mates are walking out of the main doors, so he runs up to them.
"Where the hell have you been?!" The older member shouts at Daichi which a clearly pissed off expression. "It's been all day since you went! Why did you take so long?!"
"I was getting this." Daichi reached into his pocket and pulled out the vile.
"That’s it?" Said the bearded member.
"Yeah it’s come from a very interesting hollow that may come in handy so I'm going to keep it somewhere safe." He puts it back in his pocket and taps it gently.
"Why don't you join us Daichi, we are going to get some drinks?" asked the younger member, leaning from behind the older one.
"I've said this before, you know I don't drink, but thanks for the offer" Daichi smiled at his team happily.
"All right then see you tomorrow, try have a better night tonight." The members wave their hands as they walk to the nearest inn.
"And don't be late!" The older one shouted from a distance.
Daichi walked back to his house slowly and yawned. As he passed a small flower bed he took three flowers and held them in his hand. "They'll like these." He said to himself as he walked through the front door of the house. He went out back and placed the three flowers in front of the head stones and whispered, "Today went well, guys. Thanks for watching over me. Sleep well." He then headed back inside where he got into his bed and slept.
