Okay, so I've been kicking myself for the past couple days over what to do, and I need help. When I first made this character last year or two years ago, I didn't put a lot of effort into him, so he ended up being underpowered. This led to me leaving the site (along with personal issues). I came back recently with a new character (a Hollow), but my heart still belongs with this character. I want this character to work, and I want to keep the relationships with people (specifically Nagi and Ezekiel; P.S. HI GUYS!!! :3) that I created with this character. Hell, I was there when Nagi was actually created OOCly and now she's so far ahead of me that I kinda want to catch up with this character. So, what should I do? I already started work on the other character but I want this character BUT I don't want to be a pain and ask for the other character to be destroyed and then have this character revived and put the staff through a lot of pain.

Keep in mind that the strength and starting score of your character really mean nothing as long as you're threading with people who aren't total dicks. So the fear of "being behind" all of the people you had originally planned with is only as real as you want it to be. On top of that, having a power level difference like this can also be used for a ton of plot fuel. A lot of anger from your character in that "Wtf, why can't I get strong like that? Better have a training montage", or even something as simple as a friendly rivalry.
And, like Melody mentioned, you can always get a regrade on your character if you haven't completed a milestone yet.
As for the dilemma of the two characters, I'd honestly stick with the one you have now. Play him for a few weeks, maybe a month, and once your find your groove then I'd suggest picking up your Hollow and starting on him. Coming back and then pushing two characters out instantly almost always ends poorly and puts a ton of pressure on you to get them both going at the same time.
