Flash returned to the immeasurable desert of Hueco Mundo that he had been absent from thanks to his travel to the world of the living. Being surrounded by the ominous silence was refreshing in comparison to the noise Karakura Town had to offer along with the humans that he had never seen before. The Shinigami also made their presence known, opening a new wave of knowledge for Flash to observe and understand. It was a heavy amount to digest and it left Flash just as confused as he was upon entering Hueco Mundo for the first time. So much to consider, ponder, and grasp about his surroundings. Above all that he was trying to fathom was about himself and his powers. Being in the company of another like him had opened his eyes to what was possible: incredible speeds, superb strength, and raw bursts of energy. These feats were incredible, and yet Flash had no idea how to duplicate what he had seen.
He contemplated all of this as he wandered the sands under the never-ending moonlight. Every so often there would be a flicker of spiritual energy that he would feel, but he had no wish to investigate. He was content with complacent meandering because he wanted to avoid another conflict like he had in the human world. Until he figured out how to match the abilities of the Shinigami and Arrancar like himself, he withheld his sense of adventure and curiosity. "Will there come a time where I stop plaguing my mind with questions?" Flash muttered openly. Those who he had surrounded himself with were either disinterested, or possessed hatred towards Hollows and Arrancar. Therefore, his encounters did not offer any insight into why or rather; he did not stay long enough to discover the answer. Rightfully so, or he may not have lived to think about it.
While he pressed on he shook his head like he was throwing off his thoughts like dirt trapped in his messy hair. To help cease the racket his questioning gave him, he looked up at the black sky since it gave him comfort for reasons he could not explain. It was the same feeling every time he had done so, but he began to see a trend: it brought both joy and a sense of yearning. Again, his frustrations rose along with more questions that he could not break away from. There was too much to understand, and none of the answers within reach. Flash concluded that he needed something to steer his mind away and the sky was not going to provide that no matter how good it made him feel. He stopped walking and instead tried to focus on his latent powers. With his right hand extended, Flash tried to imagine the same red beam he saw other Hollows use firing from his palm. He concentrated hard, but nothing came. Flash repeated the same motion over and over, expecting that if he tried hard enough the beam would show itself. However, each time resulted with nothing. His body dropped into a seated position, defeated that he could not produce the blast of energy. "No use," he sighed into the empty landscape.
