No body asked but I'm bored and waiting for my next job to print at work so I figured I'd regale a bunch of people who don't care with the sheer amount of "What the actual fuck?" that was my last year.
So I left in the middle of March. The first two weeks I didn't do much, but eventually I started playing Final Fantasy XIV. I was on Balmaug and I stayed there almost the whole duration of my absence choosing to RP there. In April I started working towards joining the United States Air Force and I lost my old job and started working for my family which pays better anyway. And I did that whilst returning to the gym and pushing things hard for almost 9 months.
On January 5th I left for Boot Camp. I was at Lackland for about twelve weeks before I was sent home due to shredding all of the muscles in my right knee. We're not entirely sure what happened to my knee other than its apparently chronic. So I got back home on the 17th and now I'm back here. So if anyone's curious about anything boot camp related I was there 4 weeks longer than I was supposed to be and man do I have some stories to tell.
So I guess one of my favorite stories is this one time we had an EC (Entry Controller) Monitor who's job it was to assign shifts to people. Their job on those shifts was to guard the door in the middle of the night right? So generally you wanted to be on this guy's good side because otherwise you'd get shitty shifts at like 0330-0430 and then only have like 75 minutes before the music would play and you'd have to get up again. Anyway towards the last few weeks our Monitor changed to a dude named Hallman who we described as Wishy-Washy spineless bastard who wouldn't ever stand his ground on anything nor make people do their jobs. Because of that he only scheduled people he knew would do their work, IE, Hedquist, Myself, Bishop, Elliot, a dude named Webb, and Fraiser for the week or so he was with us. The reason he scheduled those people is because Webb and Fraiser volunteered. Myself, and the other three were Element Leaders so we had to lead by example and just do the shifts.
Anyway after like a week of being scheduled every other night (keep in mind there were about 60 of us, so if you made sure everyone worked once before you scheduled anyone else most people only would have to get up once a week), we decided he needed to be taught a lesson. So every hour on the half hour when we had to do security checks, once security had been verified we'd go over to Hallman's bed, wake him up and go "Sir, Entry Controller Reports as ordered, Latrines are clear, security is checked, you may return to your slumber." And this happened literally every hour, every night, for three weeks. After the first two weeks he had his first psychological freak out where when someone woke him up because he'd actually made a mistake in the scheduling, after falling asleep twice he woke up and shouted "No no NO! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND." Before sitting up and immediately falling back asleep like it was nothing. He didn't even remember it the next morning (lol).
A week later the same guy woke him up again, this time because he was annoyed with getting scheduled (again) and he proceeded to sit up, hop out of bed walk into the bathroom talking to himself and shit for like 45 minutes before returning to bed.
