It was another beautiful day in Karakura town and Raph was ready for another fun filled day. He wondered what would happen today: would he run into another arrancar? Or maybe he would run into another quincy or two and draw another few dozen hollow into Karakura and put MORE people in danger! Or, perhaps, he might run into a Shinigami, had been awhile since he’d talked with one of those…or another spiritualist! Nah. He wouldn’t be that lucky…would probably be another arrancar…
Raph brushed his teeth, took a shower and got dressed before leaving his hotel room and heading out for a day on the town. He went around the entirety of Karakura Town searching for hollows, watching the people go about their daily lives. But no matter how far he searched he could final no hollows and, while that was definitely a good thing for the normal people, for Raph it was just incredibly boring.
After about an hour of searching for hollows he gave up and decided that he’d go shopping instead. After all he could certainly stand to get some things, mostly things for Donny since he hadn’t heard from his brother in forever. That brought to light a subject that he’d been drastically hoping to avoid: the experimentation and kidnapping by his mother. It was funny that his mother had done more experimenting on him than the arrancars in Las Noches had done.
He’d used up half the day just walking randomly around the mall looking for stupid little things like a new processor, new ram… His heart really wasn’t in it today. He wasn’t a very big fan of pretending like things weren’t going on, pretending like there weren’t things beyond his understanding, especially since there was a lot beyond his understanding. He reached up, laid a hand on his right shoulder and stretched it. He’d been bitten there not too long ago and had felt sick for about a day…but now he was fine. Why had he gotten sick in the first place?
That was when he felt it…a hollow; it was off in the ruins of Karakura away from living humans, but could still threaten the spirits residing in the ruins. That last thing that they needed in Karakura Town were more hollows being made to arrive in the middle and show up to attack. After all the more hollows that were in the Town the more the people were in danger. He didn’t like having to interfere in what should’ve been the job of a Shinigami, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Onwards he went, deep into the ruins, despite several police officers that attempted to dissuade him. He spoke with, argued with and finally broke through his way into the ruins, officers were more than prepared to go in and capture him…but when he started to really get deep into the remains of the city they stopped. He had to find that hollow, and not even police could stop him. He would defeat this hollow and bring people some peace for a day.
He was nearly to the hollow when he felt something very strange, practically a Shinigami… Yes, that must’ve been what it was. Now he had a big choice: he either had to leave or stay and risk getting discovered by the Shinigami. God, how he wished he could just leave… In reality he could, but he had the odd curiosity to find out what was going on. This was the curiosity that oftentimes nearly got him killed. Hell with it. Curiosity kills and all that…
