Tracking down Vaizards proved to be a bit harder than she had anticipated. Just getting the names alone had been tricky, though after the latest Captain’s Meeting, it wasn’t impossible. Especially when Miyuki had direct control over the largest source of knowledge in all of the Seireitei -- perhaps in all of the worlds combined. Though it had taken a bit longer than she wanted to admit, she eventually had a list for her own personal use.
Unfortunately, a few names had to be scratched out preemptively, but that just meant less work for Miyuki. Besides, it wasn’t like she was short on support at this point in time. All she had to worry about was the Fourth Division poking its nose into her business. Hopefully, all of her friends thoroughly understood the dangers of blabbing to everyone. It wasn’t that Miyuki didn’t have the utmost confidence in those who she had selected. It was more of a case of preparing for the worse. If Shun -- or even Hazuki -- caught wind of all of this before everything was ready, it would all come crashing down.
Miyuki would have to die trying to defend what she couldn’t even build up successfully. The thought alone made her grit her teeth and wince. To come so far and everything be so easily destroyed? It made her soul ache in a way she had never felt. This was too important for her to just give up on -- too important for things to go wrong.
If need be, she would make sure her friends stayed quiet.
Those thoughts aside, Miyuki tucked the list into her pocket and stepped out from her office. After a brief chat with a secretary, informing the young man that she would be going out to the Rukongai to help with the reform efforts, she was out for the day. Or however long it took. After all, this was a brand new project and needed as much guidance as it could get. Sure, the first few establishments in the upper districts had been a massive success, most of them already housing hundreds of potential Shinigami, but the lower districts struggled. Probably due to the high crime and all that jazz.
So with the ease of her Shunpo pushing her forward, she made her way to the deeper parts of the Rukongai, her spiritual eyes reaching out in all directions to pick up on someone who didn’t want to be found. For someone like Miyuki, it was really a test of patience.
There wasn’t a lot to go on when it came to tracking down this young, evasive Vaizard. It took a while, but after a thorough sweep of the area, she found just the person she was looking for. Alone, of course, and doing her damndest to just try and blend in. Of course she would -- she’s wanted by almost everyone in the Seireitei. Not to mention she had been all but abandoned by her Vaizard buddies. It must have been an awful life to live.
Miyuki paused just long enough to steel her nerves before descending from the sky and approaching the timid lady. The introductions were always the hardest, especially when the person you were going to talk to could potentially be a loose canon. After all, Miyuki only had documents to go off and gauge how the Vaizard would react to a Shinigami approaching her -- let alone a Captain.
“I promise I’m just here to talk,” Miyuki opened with, hands coming up in the general ‘I come in peace’ signal as she took the last few steps. “My name is Miyuki Wakahisa. Are you Lessa Kachekiwa?”
The Captain already knew the answer to that, but oh well. Manners first, after all. Besides, she didn’t want to jump straight into things and risk scaring off the poor lady. It was vital that the Vaizard played a role in this little game and Miyuki would sooner kill off the girl than have her walk away from this little invitation.
“I’m off duty,” Miyuki continued, hoping to instill a bit of trust into the woman. “No one’s watching us and no one knows I’m here.”
