When he’d first met Yuki Arisawa, his mind had been sluggish and juvenile. Distorted and choked by the voices within his head. They whined and they chirped and they fed him information but also castrated his neural impulses. The juvenile Iko that emerged from the Gillian and became an Adjuchas was childishly terrifying, he remember it liked it was yesterday. The white walls of Las Noches towering above him as his brain flickered towards destruction.
He remember the crackling of power at the tip of his talon as he channelled an unholy torrent of Cero against the stone and broke inside. Even now he stood in front of that hole, the sand having begun to somehow fill up the hole and begin to repair it. Apparently Las Noches had multiple ways of repairing the damage done to it and this was one of them, the sand drawn into the walls to construct its defences.
The predator traced the wound, he felt his weaker energy in the rocks. Remnants of his power. A signature of an Iko that didn’t know what he was capable of. A talon moved to his belly as he felt the hunger stir, led on by the voices that were coalescing in his brain to speak to him. Iko could feel it, almost as if he was vomiting in his head. The voices forming from a mere few neural pulses he could not constrict.
“Darling, it’s been a while”
“A day”
“I know that’s a long time when all we have is your for company~” the voice mused. It was too happy, too jovial and it sickened him. No matter what he tried, the voice would break his concentration. It grew from his exposure to Obession, somehow fed off his influence and amplified.
“What are you doing anyway? Yuki. Oh, the dumb girl with the stupid lion? You would think the lion would eat her and become whole already but I suppose girls just wanna have fun~” He clenched his talons and caught her scent, a myriad of scents formed trails in front of him. The paths were available around him. The many journeys and adventures Yuki Arisawa had walked. He felt her emotions in the traces of her reiatsu, he felt the terror and the sadness. He also felt the joy and the anger.
Yuki’s path had been fantastic. It seemed like him, she was growing too. Possibly not as fast as he was. That didn’t matter though. Iko had decided that it was time they meet again. With a step of sonido it boomed across the white wastes of Hueco Mundo, he felt outwards with his five senses picking her presence out of the air.
He saw her in the distance with her lion and what was this? Her spiritual pressure felt different, as if it had been frayed by a great power.
Iko took a few steps towards her.
“I see you saw what Obsession did to Las Noches. Hello Yuki, it’s been a while”
