Physical Specifications
Physical Description: Cressida looks like a particularly lean woman. Her figure is well toned and well endowed yet maintains a curvy outlook with her wide hips and narrow shoulders giving her a balance between femininity and athleticism. On the wrist of her right arm lies three small yet deep scars in the right (outermost) and the bottom sides, (two on the bottom, one on the side). Typically she has the overlying scent of vanilla lavender from her perfume but her hair care products provide an underlying coconut-vanilla scent. She tends to move carrying a relaxed and lazy posture, and generally speaks in a generally sweet and soft tone of voice. In a dangerous or potentially threatening situation she tends to move carrying a strict and militaristic posture, not flinching for an instant, while her voice tends to be dull and emotionless and strict.
Current attire: Cressida's normal attire nowadays consists of a loose white sweater with a sky blue trim over a black sports top. What remains of her grandmother's cross is still worn underneath, which is more sentimental to keep close. Usually she wears a pair of grey track pants or beige cargo pants mixed with black combat boots that have been modified to be able to hold a hidden Seele Schneider in the side. Outside of home she wears a black long coat over top her sweater. Outside of hunting a target, she wears her glasses instead of her contact lenses, simple black frame that rests near the bottom of her nose. For the most part she lets a few bangs hang loose, but she ties long hair back, which flows down to her mid back.
Pre-Timeskip attire
Cressida's former normal attire consists of a white loose fitting button up tee shirt, that she typically keeps the top few buttons undone exposing a light blue sports top worn underneath. She also wears black cargo shorts that extend halfway to her knees. Her footwear consists of black running shoes with a silver trim and white socks. She carries a brown leather bag over her right shoulder resting on her left side usually for quincy holy artifacts, a cell phone, and a tablet with a keyboard. Around her neck is the cross used by her late grandmother, only serving a sentimental purpose. In her normal attire she wears her hair down with two small bangs on either side of her face extending to ear length.
Cressida's quincy uniform consists of white dress pants and a dress shirt underneath a white cloak with a light blue button. Her dress shirt has a Quincy Zeichen embedded on the pocket, as well as a cross on the back. She wears a pair of simple white gloves that extend to underneath the cuffs of the wrist. On belt of her dress pants is a storage container along the back that has outside slots that can hold several seele schneider. Meanwhile the capsule itself can hold several ginto capsules while there is a button and hatch on the left side that can dispense the capsules with ease. Her footwear consists of white combat boots. In this attire she ties her hair back like she does her regular attire.
Spiritual Description: Cressida's reaitsu now takes on a grey appeal, it can be sensed in a very cloudy nature. Her reiatsu has an odd mixed sensation as if trying to roar but is quiet well content when Cressida is not trying to exude her energy.
Psychological Profile
Personality: Cressida for the most part is an free spirit. She is generally very open minded and social, she loves to learn about a wide variety of culture and philosophy. She tends to approach life with a 'go with the flow' attitude towards most subjects and doesn't seem to be able to be let down easily. She supports equality and fair treatment of others capable of intelligent thought. She sees little difference between flesh and soul, she will welcome a Shinigami as an ally. Hollow-breeds are a different story as she will slay any hollow on sight, but is not afraid to at least try and negotiate with an Arrancar. However if she believes someone is in genuine danger, she is willing to forsake her creed so no one would be hurt on her account. Age has not affected Cressida's knightly code severely, as she will still live and die by her sword and still seeks the thrill of a duel. However with Celeste in the picture, her maternal instincts to protect her daughter or any young would surely overcome her borderline sadistic/masochistic desire for swordplay.

Power: Cressida's power is to affect the gravity of whatever she cuts or shot. She can cut an opponent and either reduce their gravitational pull to the earth or increases it, making it seem either light enough to jump higher distances or slowed down by gravity. After honing her skills with her power, Cressida could potentially isolate her focus to a particular part instead of a whole, such as only increasing the gravitational pull on a wrist and decreasing the pull on a knee, or a decreasing a section of earth to raise it to float in the way as a distraction. Drawbacks from this can make the target easy to knock back or move far quickly, but the damage would be reduced. Increasing the gravity would have a similar affect but it would make it harder for the target to move.
However there is a technique called Messe Duell that Cressida can use to form an invisible field around her in a field equating to her reiatsu in diameter up to 100 feet to suppress projectiles and presses gravity of all parties to limit movements such as jumping, even though she is a quincy and uses ranged tactics on the side, this allows to create a fair play sword on sword setting in a setting that she favors.
Cressida's spirit weapon is Heilige Klinge, a blade roughly a meter in length, just long enough to be a long sword that Cressida can wield with one hand with ease. As an unrefined spirit weapon it looks like a mass of blue light in the form of a sword with a sharp cross-guard and a tint around the edges giving it a sharpened appearance. In it's refined form it looks like a double-edge sword with a blue tint on the blade. On the guard of the blade are shuriken-like spikes. The bottom of the handle has a crystal-like protrusion with a pale blue color that matches the blade.
Quincy Cross:
Cressida's cross is that of a dark silver Celtic design on a black chain resting on her right wrist. The cross itself has a twisted and overlapping metal thread pattern pointing to the center in which is an overlapping loops into a rounded square. The ring running around the cross is pure black.
Schrift: C: Control Cressida's Schrift represents her desire and struggle of her life as she spent her entire life. Her father had dominated every aspect of her life, and excessively punished her for failing to meet his expectations, she struggled to live for herself. However her father was not the only one as Cressida lived for the thrill of swordplay and always hated how ranged abilities often got in the way of what she thought could've been a perfect duel. Her abilities of this Schrift serve to help her adjust her situation.
Documented History
Origin: Cressida, was born on Friday the 13th, July 1998 and by all accounts she was a healthy baby, but the unusual date of birth was unnerving to some, but no one dared to speak ill of it due to fear of her father's fury. At this point in her life her father had little to no interaction with Cressida, busy maintaining his second life. Cressida was primarily raised by her mother and grandmother. She grew up humbly albeit the wealth the Schades have. Her first encounter with a Hollow was at the age of three, attending a picnic with her mother, sister, and grandparents. As she was playing with her toys on the side, an eagle like hollow sprung out of the woods and tried to strike Cressida. At this point she was struck with fear, teaching her what she believes to be her first lesson, the world is not clear and forgiving all the time. Although the encounter was less than five seconds due to the quick response of her grandfather, the hollow got away but Cressida was scarred by that for the next few years.
As Cressida got older, she began to note the odd behaviour that goes around the family, how her mother pays constant attention the one day, but than avoids her the next, how her father took a sudden interest in how she was raised, but what she paid most attention to was her grandfather. Every day she could, after lunch she'd walk to the garden and think she'd remain hidden as she'd watch her grandfather practice with a sword. She was fascinated by blades, believing them to be an excellent and fair method of combat. While in truth Terrence knew she was watching every time, but didn't want to let her close yet, as she was far too young in his eyes to start.
Cressida, was always a good child, doing what she was told, for her education she went to a private school up until high school level where a private tutor was brought at that point. Until she was ten, Cressida striven to get her fathers attention only to fail, the closest the two got was when he asked about the hollow she saw when she was three, at the age of seven. For her ninth birthday, her father shown up and presented her with a gift, a Bangle. At this point Cressida soon found herself regretting ever wanting her fathers affection. Her father trained her intensely from the beginning in questionable means, starting with before a single formal lesson, placing her in a sealed room with a hollow. Albeit narrowly by the skin of her teeth, she won. After leaving the room she heard yelling, particularly that of her father and grandmother.
Rise to Power: As the years went by, Cressida was put under constant pressure by her father's training, he beat her down the second she slipped up, her father was quick to punish with either intense exercise or harsh lectures that broke her confidence. As she tried to question her father, he convinced her to go on by using Celeste as an example and that Cressida would need to work hard to catch up. Whenever Cressida had second thoughts of wanting to be the best, her mother gets nervous and discourages second thoughts, her grandfather however, told her to follow the path she chooses. When she was ten, her grandfather finally trained her in the art of swordplay, that became her only joy for years, that every night after she was finished education and holy training she could meet her grandfather and experience the thrill of blades clashing.
After being put down by her father for years, at the age of eleven her odd behavioral patterns, such as how she acts during training, strict, and to the point but during social activities she is fun loving, essentially seemingly going back and forth between two different personalities her father, brought in a psychiatrist and got her diagnosed, at this point her father took that is a sign, disregarding what the psychiatrist said about a "latent unknown factor". He saw the business mindset as the payoff for the hard work, and potential to push forward harder. Eventually Derrek thought it was time for her to stop using the bangle and form her own spirit weapon, for two days straight she tried with no success. Her father, aggressive due to the issue of not forming a weapon, took a whip and for every failed attempt, used it on her wrist, on the sixth whip, an hielig pfeil dug into his hand dropping the whip, and soon was approached by Cressida's grandmother who, after sending Cressida away to treat the wounds from the whip that scarred her wrist. Cressida heard the usual yelling, but this time every member of the house except her was involved. For the next few days Cressida spent on training her spirit weapon, meanwhile she was told her grandmother went on a vacation, but died in an accident due to faulty structuring and electrical wiring.
Devastated, Cressida tried to prove herself to make her grandmother proud, but after five days of nothing but attempting to make a spirit weapon, she hit a wall. Annoyed that she lost time for her studies and swordplay practice. Eventually she slipped out of her business mindset filled with annoyance, still determined to follow through but with a clouded mind distracted by the art of swordplay itching at the back of her mind, finally formed Hielig Klinge for the first time. Out of sheer fear she practiced hours on end shooting a Hielig Pfeil, after succesfully learning she prayed her father would see the practicalities of her spirit weapon, only to be punished.
While the rest of her family had no qualms with her unique deviance from a Hielig Bogun, her father had intense objections, calling Cressida a disgrace to the quincy race. By pounding thoughts of worthless shame, it began to sunk into Cressida, she was for once, fueled with rage. The first time the enraged mindset came out was at this point, where she formed her spirit weapon and shot in front of her fathers feet and began to charge only to be stopped by her grandfather. After being subdued, she found herself awakening in the woods with nothing but the clothes she had and a Seele Schneider and a ginto tube. She found a note on her person that her transgression was intolerable and for her punishment, she had to spent a week in the woods. Confused, as she had not recalled her attempted assault on her father, remained in her business mindset for the remainder of her time in the woods, slaying hollows while trying to adapt to the environment. While she began to note how useful her training was in a hostile enviorment, she had time to reflect on how harsh the punishment was.
Call to Action: After surviving the woods, she found her way to a nearby city and called home, where her father made arrangements for an old acquaintance to escort her back to the house. Arriving to the house, Cressida heard yet another argument by her father and grandfather, which soon ceased after they were made aware of Cressida's presence. After it was made bluntly obvious that Cressida has no recollection of her transgression, her father left her to her own devices from that point onward in regards to holy training and education. About a week and a half later, her grandfather left the house, but no one told Cressida the truth, everyone had a different tale.
After seeing her sister's harsh treatment and comparing it to herself, Celeste made a vow to her sister to take Cressida away from this, and cooked up an elaborate plan. Celeste made a challenge to their father, instead of the traditional one year, she opted for a four year challenge to prove she was able to succeed him. The plan was that when time came for Cressida, the two would escape from the household. However, it went smoothly until two years into the trial, Celeste allegedly died in an electrical accident, leaving Cressida in despair.
Cressida tried to distract herself day and night, trying to shake off the feeling of being weighed down, bothered by how everything else seemed to stand tall as if there was nothing to pull them down. After passing out from overworking, her grandfather returned for a talk with her, about Celeste and the world. He inspired her to create a better path if she doesn't like the one currently set. Cressida knew that she needed time away, so the week before her sixteenth birthday, she asked her father about extending the one year challenge to three years, in which she received no reply. However, on the day of her sixteenth birthday, her father gave her two things, the first was a fine leather shoulder bag, and the other was a key to a small estate outside of Karakura town, to which he simply told her to go on if she wishes, but he won't tolerate a failure.
Time skip: What happened during the timeskip? A lot of things. Prior to the time skip Cressida went missing as she had to come to terms with herself and her drug problem. During the five years, Cressida returned to Karakura for a few months where she encountered the brother of her sister's ex. Cressida learned a couple hard truths that never reached her, such as she was almost an aunt. Delving deeper into her sister's past, she discovered that there were suspicious circumstances around her death. Cressida was about to write it off as a hollow attack, until she did some odd research. Her father came in and did not permit an autopsy the same day. Going to America, she looked into her grandmother's demise and it was the same story. Coming to terms with what was going on, she returned home to confront her parents. Her father was on the verge of disowning his daughter, but the encounter ended with a one sided fight where Cressida was about to die, but intervention from her mother gave her the opening she needed to slay her father. Albeit being a family member, Cressida refused him a proper burial as she burned his body in the furnace, without a tombstone. She took the role as head of the family from her mother who did not raise an objection. As her first decree, she let her grandfather return home.
Later on in her life, Cressida met and fell in love with a young man who later turned out to be a quincy. He was a free spirit who traveled around trying to help people anyway he could. The two fell in love quickly, Cressida let him park his van on her property at times, and he would help her with all her repressed issues. Cressida thought that the two were gonna be inseparable, and almost considering marrying the nomad. However Cressida had some, unexpected news as she discovered one day she was pregnant. The nomad was nervous and said he would support her, but two weeks in after their daughter Celeste was born, he straight up abandoned them, claiming it was against his very way and being to be chained. For the next two hard years, Cressida had to struggle with being a quincy and a mother, but started to focus more towards the latter as life went on.
