Most recent picture I have, I also forgot to mention that he kept purring even when the thermometer was in his ass. He's also getting more used to the house which mean's he's running around more and getting into shit. @dew he hasn't picked a spot as his own yet but I think he likes our blankets @jian I think he likes his scratching post! and @koku he for some reason likes citrus smells (he licked a paper towel with lemon juice on it as well as the door)
Strider doesn't meow, he's a pretty quiet cat (unlike his younger brother, Kija, who has the appropriate nickname of "Bitchy Baby") but does headbutt your arm, hand, leg, etc and groom you in response.
And, if you stop suddenly or get a little too intense, he'll reach out and grab your arm and hold it in his teeth. He's REALLY gentle; not once has he even made a dent in my skin or broken it. We tell him he's so fierce when he does it though.
(That cat has more zen than i can even dream of having, the little bastard.)
Food. You cat looks young(under a year old take it to a vet to verify and have it checked for a chip) and should have access to food 24x7. After a year of age a cat should be limited to 1 (ONE) cup of food per day or less if they tend to be lazy. Do not skimp on food quality. The cheap shit at the grocery store is mostly grain and nutritionally insufficient for cats. Spend the money and get something from Blue Buffalo or Earthborn if you can find them. They're both a tad expensive but your cat will be happier and healthier on them. if you cannot find either of those if grain is anywhere in the first ten ingredients do not feed it to your cat.

Don't fall for getting them the canned wet food. Unless the cat is too young to properly chew which your cat doesn't seem to be you should probably stick to the dry food since it's better on your wallet and the cat won't decide to turn its nose up at the dry food and only eat wet. Learn from past mistakes LOL

We haven't looked into wet food at all yet (I'm pretty grossed out by it, tbqh). We had him on adult food already because we didn't know better but he's slowly getting more kitten food in his diet. @vic I'll have to look into that after what he has runs out/ he can have big boy food
Put his litter in a box with a hole at the top like my mom has. That way he really has to work to get his poop out to play with it, and thus will go for the easier to attack toys.

Cats are pretty easy to care for. Clean litterbox (daily), about 1/2 cup of food (I have a 1/4 cup scoop I use, and feed mine twice a day), and clean fresh water. Beyond that, playtime is a must, and having their own places are a must.
Cats -love- high spots. If you have shelves? Expect them to go up them. On top of dressers, t.v.'s, you name it. They'll find their way up there. Windows too.
Do note that if a cat is purring constantly it could be happy, or it could be in distress (though the later is usually pretty obvious).
