Pain. Ever since returning from Soul Society and meeting Obsession the young blonde Quincy hadn’t been feeling so well nor was her sanity remaining intact. Nightmares began to invade her and sleepless nights were becoming the norm. She tried to escape this by returning to her homeland to recover and recoup but her High Lord came dragging her into the political Quincy drama. Taking little money she could afford to return Karakura to make an excuse she needed ‘alone’ time to deal with her stress, Freyleif took a direct plane back to the high spiritual town taking her white raven with her. Amusing she used to hate this place but there was no choice, she needed to collect her thoughts and figure out how she was going to plan things.
She regretted becoming a knight to either the King and Aitrus. The stress became like boulders crushing her soul and she just wanted to pass out but,no, she would keep pushing on until her physical body could no longer support that weight.
It was a nice evening in Karakura no signs of gloomy clouds or rain to be felt coming. It was a perfect time to reminisce around the outer edge of Karakura. Listening to the soft streams she walked along helped elevate her mind. She wore simple torn denim jeans with a black jacket trimmed with a neck frill and a white shirt underneath to keep her extra warm from the cool air.
Thud-thud.
She felt a terrible migraine hammering against her skull that it almost made her keel over with poor Verdani flapping his wings to remain balanced on her shoulder. The bird cawed concerningly to the girl as she straightening herself and holding her forehead with a shaky hand.
“I’m fine, Verdani.” she forced a smile and patted the bird’s head affectionately before moving off once more. She came to a crossroads; a bridge or a path back to the suburbs or continuing going along the river.
“Where shall our feet travel too now?” she peered over to the raven curiously. The bird cawed in response. “I think we should go through the mountains, yes.” tiredly her feet took her across the bridge then up a flight of stone stairs. She had no idea where this place was leading her or what kind of adventure she’d find out here in the tranquil solitude with just the sound of wind breezing through the trees making them sway and rustling of leaves leaving a nice music to her ears.
The countryside was a much peaceful place to retreat to she would have to remember this side of outskirts if she ever wanted to just be free from the drama. She suddenly came to a stop, turning her head towards a shrine with cute maneki neko out in front of its gates. Curious. Something was pulling her here or perhaps it was Fate mysteriously playing its cards for her to come here.
“Let’s see what’s here, aye?” the Nordic Quincy spoke to the raven before walking towards the gates. “Hallo?! Anyone here?” she called out and waited to make sure someone was around first before exploring. The raven nestled himself on her left shoulder and red eyes just glared at the door.
