Days or weeks, the concept of time seemed lost to Chie. Her mind, the one single thing that got her through from the death of her second family was broken, all the knowledge she could pertain and use was still there; however without a passion to truly keep going knowledge is useless. Having a goal is simply not enough to survive, especially after giving up on life.
Sitting on a stool in a corner of the lab, Chie Kira, hunched over holding an empty sheath in her hands. Her Shihakushō was torn and shredded, sleeves completely gone, some bits lay on the ground soaked with her own blood, others are along either of her arms as makeshift bandages along her arms. Her skin was an abnormally shade of pale as her face was the only recognizable sight as it maintained her dull expression, however it was hidden under a beige-grey scarf made of coiled cloth only leaving above the eyes exposed as her hair was let down. While her right eye still covered, strands of hair fell over the front just over her forehead.
Chie traced her fingers around the empty sheath, trying to repress any feeling. Feeling things is wherever she goes wrong, with Heinrich, following her instincts with Levi, also letting her sense of duty even lead her to fight Levi. She always tried to put on a straight face and act in what she thought was the best interest of everyone, but she couldn't care any more of others.
Chie looked up towards the caged off section of the laboratory, the blocking her off from the world, taking away the freedom she once had. "Is there a point to this, why am I here?"
Chie soon stood up, showing that along her left side from the hip to the abdomen was exposed from tearing. Her gaze looked to beyond the cage bars as she saw more technical equipment and counters. Her sight gazed the wall looking up to the window, casting light on the dim lab as she could not help but feel a twinge of emptiness.
A sigh passed her sore and dry lips as she looked back town to her empty sheath. "If you were with me now, what would you, no, never mind." She returned the sheath to her back as she craved for the weight of her Zanpakuto. She recalled the times she was wishing the weight on her back wasn't there, but now she was begging for the weight again. Slamming her back against a wall she slid down as she started to look towards the window again.
"Am I alone? Not even with her by my side will I die? Am I guilty enough of a crime to deserve this?"
