The howling wind alongside the echoing click-clack of his boots upon cracked stone were the only sounds as Tauro strode down the broken halls of the once great fortress capital Las Noches. It had once been a symbol of Hollow Power that stood proud in the centre of Hueco Mundo however now it was a shattered remnant of it's former self.
The Arrancar swept his gaze over the decimated walls as he moved down the vacant corridor ignoring the chilling gales that broke in through the gaps in the structure. Here and there he noticed pieces of the castle seemed to have been melted rather than just shattered and broken.
'What the hell happened here?' he though to himself as horror, confusion and rage battled within his heart. Las Noches was his home! He may have left for a few years but the castle was were he belonged and now he found that during his absence someone had done this to it! But who had this sort of power?
His first thoughts darted to the Shinigami. Did they raze the centre of the Hollow Kingdom? Was it not enough to hunt them on Earth but had they chased his brethren to Hueco Mundo itself? With every thought the fury in him bubbled closer to the surface but he quelled it with his strength of will. Even if only barely.
Once Tauro had been the Séptima Espada, the seventh strongest of all the Arrancar but in time he had become overshadowed as the stronger new generation emerged, then he had went into self-imposed exile furious at his demotion to Privaron Espada...a failure. Recently he had managed to swallow his pride and return expecting a legion of Números greater than he to be manning the battlements of this once proud fortress but instead he found only ruins.
It had only been hours since Tauro and his Fracción Consumption had returned to Hueco Mundo to find the castle like this. They had split up intent on seeking out the remaining leadership and with what he'd seen so far the former Espada was hoping that his subordinate was having better luck than he.
Closing his eyes the Arrancar focused his spiritual senses once again as he sought out Spiritual Signatures via the use of Pesquisa. As the pulse of energy radiated outwards from Tauro and throughout the ruins his mind lit up with hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Reiatsu sources. Mostly they were pathetic and he ignored them guessing the owners to be nothing more than Base Hollow. The Arrancar was about to quit when two above average energies registered on his senses.
He considered them. They were weaker than him but not by a lot and at least this level of strength indicated that they might be intelligent Hollow who could coherently answer his questions, perhaps they may even be other Arrancar. That would be a nice change from the beasts he'd come across so far.
Picking up the pace the Arrancar walked over stone, and in some places sand where the floor was gone completely, before exiting into some type of courtyard. He could sense the two Hollow energies nearby and he moved more cautiously as he entered the open. Tauro might call this home and he might think of Hollow-Breeds as his brethren but he hadn't survived this long by being careless. Carrying his sheathed sword in his left hand the Arrancar moved at a steady pace before speaking aloud.
"I have come seeking the Ruler of Las Noches!" he shouted his voice echoing through the forest of broken stone and sand "I demand to be brought before them."
His grip tightened slightly on the sheathed Zanpakutō and although his right hand hung at his side he was ready to quick draw should the need arise.
