So, to ask the abundantly dumb question in the room...
We're shifting the scale of what things are worth, but do these shifts apply only to those who have done or are applying for milestones? Do other players also need to mess with their BGP? Current reading isn't very clear to me, though I can't really see how it could be otherwise.
And as far as feedback... I like the idea a lot! To focus players less on the grind and more on the story, which is the best part of BG and the hardest thing to cultivate in our player base. I'm not sure how it will effect that wall though, and the people who like playing at the lower echelons of power, but I think that's something where we need to try this out for a while and see how it works.

Not a silly question at all!
Basically, you're translating your Base GP.
If you have never requested a Milestone on a character, then you do not need to do anything at all.
If you -have- requested a Milestone, go find that handy chart I added in a spoiler to the announcement, and bump up your Base GP to the new amount. Please ping me directly, Paks, if you'd like further assistance.
I've, fortunately, managed to leave the 300 wall behind me. I wouldn't mind booking an appointment with a certain well dressed gentleman though in order to tackle other issues.
As politely as possible to my other thread partners, you would have an express elevator to slot #1 in my queue
Someone screencap this proof that Toki-bro likes me more than most of ya'll!
Thanks for the explanation. I too like the story-oriented shift a lot. I look forward to seeing what people do with it.

Can I just, be a fly on the wall... for that thread? :333
Actually, more on topic -- so throughout the day I've been musing over this new change. I remember being so very happy with the old decision, to slow down stat progression so that it was less top heavy less quickly. And I still support that idea, that this is a journey and players exist at all spectrum and should be able to play at all levels. But I also see that what the majority of people really enjoy doing is being able to impact the world around them, and that tends to happen more readily at certain character bench-marks. But what you're actually doing here, is not making those benchmarks easier to get to, so much as adding training wheels so players are helped to realize that they're getting there earlier on than they do in our current system. With that in mind, I really hope that this works the way it is intended, because it would be lovely to have lots of people feel as if they have the tools to write the kinds of stories they want and to take charge more organically. That's what BG is built to support, it simply wasn't as clear to everyone as it should be now.
Its an interesting update. My goal Rei wise when I returned was to get up to 100 Rei. At present I've ground out enough GP for 20 of the 30 I needed so the up in the 20 department theoretically helps with that. However the people in the area I'm trying to be competitive were at 100 Rei and are now at 120, which means most of the world I did while gifted to me leaves me at the awkward spot of I can now cash in half my work to hit that 100 Rei Mark, but afterwards everything becomes significantly more expensive which means rather than being almost caught up, I'm now back to basically the start.
That said the intention is to make people request more milestones which is probably a good idea because even when I was extremely active here I only ever requested 2 and there are likely quiet a few twists and turns since then that would have justified asking for more.
So over all I'm not really here nor there on it personally but I do like that it could make it less stressful to ask for Milestones in the future. I feel like that could help out supposing people aren't put off by asking for things. Personally I never feel like I've earned milestones and don't want to waste staff's time asking about what is and isn't worth a milestone or what is and isn't a good amount of GP to request on one.

What do you mean rei gets expensive after 100? The rate is the same all the way to 300.

Does it? this is why I should avoid talking here, I always mess something up T.T
Purchasing Stats Stats on Bleach Gotei are purchased using GP and are priced on an increasing scale tied to character class (for more information on character class, see below). In practical terms, this means certain intervals of Reiatsu are more expensive than others.
0-300 Reiatsu is priced at 20 GP for every point of Reiatsu. 301-400 Reiatsu is priced at 60 GP for every point of Reiatsu. 401+ Reiatsu is priced at 100 GP for every point of Reiatsu.
Note! All player characters on Bleach Gotei must have 25 Reiatsu or higher, meaning at least 500 GP must be spent on Stats.
Examples of how much one might spend to attain certain Reiatsu levels are as follows: 200 Reiatsu costs 4,000 GP: 200 × 20 GP = 4,000 GP. 350 Reiatsu costs 9,000 GP: ( 300 × 20 GP ) + ( 50 × 60 GP ) = 6,000 GP + 3,000 GP = 9,000 GP etc.

It has been like that since long before you joined. Our Character Life-Cycle Update eliminated the varying GP costs between 0-300 reiatsu, GP cost was never increased based on tier.
