The battle in Seireitei was joined, and from what he could feel, Adimus didn't need to help for once, which was rare, and both a harsh reminder and a relief; relief in that he chose right when he decided to leave things to newer and younger heroes, and a reminder that his last endeavor might as well have left him crippled.
Erasmus, or as he was calling himself now, Obsession, was not himself a threat to Adimus, or at least not one to shy away from, as he had defeated him before in the past as both a captain of the fifth and as an Espada, marking Adi as two for two against him. However, that was when Adimus was at full strength, one-hundred percent certified badass, and as of now, his mind, body, and soul hadn't fully recovered, and the mental scars of his ordeal were still healing, and knowing what power that being held, that odd, terrifying feeling emanating from the city of pure souls, Adimus knew he would be a liability rather than an asset, and as such chose to hang back, a decision made with great difficulty but dripping with greater wisdom.
That did not mean he would waste his energies moping however, because despite a glaring weakness, Adi still knew how to swing a sword, and as such he found himself looking out for the little guy down in the Rukongai, an area overlooked since the main fighting was elsewhere.
Like a force of nature, Adimus danced in and out of the hollows that swarmed around him and the denizens of the lower wards of Soul Society, appearing less of man and more as a monster, a monster comprised of lightning and fire, his martial prowess resembling something more akin to art rather than barbarism.
Deciding to draw as little attention to himself as possible, Adi used his armor to cloak his presence and make him appear as much as a non-outsider as much as possible, but declined to change much of his appearance, opting to keep up the dirty wanderer look, an idea Adimus would, in short time, come to mildly regret, for it would appear he wasn't the only one who had decided to come to Rukongai to try and save as many souls as he could....
