Value doubted this would be one of the more pleasant ends to tie up. He was wiling to be surprised of course, and pleasantly so. But unless the Queen had come along far more than he'd seen so far, he rather doubted it.
It wasn't all that long after when Consequence had joined their ranks, but for Takua it felt like it'd been longer than it had. So much to do! People to see—literally for the first time in far too long—and far more than either of those to learn. He was both teacher and student again, and far more the latter than the former. A pleasant change of pace, all things considered. Life had been flashing past at a reckless clip, so it seemed like it'd been far longer than it had before he was striding in through the doors of the Castle of Las Noches, his presence completely undetected by the realm's inhabitants.
As he did so, he idly wondered what their panic would be like if he revealed himself for what he was. It seemed like forever ago that Truth slammed the throne room doors open to confront his alternate that had taken the crown. The memory sparked a brief chuckle as Takua recalled what he'd done. Namely, run like a bitch. If he'd taken a glancing blow at the time, he'd have died, to say nothing of the struggle simply to remain conscious amid all of that reiatsu. He'd come a long way since then, and this wasn't even the same castle anymore. Las Noches sure did go through a lot of turmoil. First he'd incinerated the whole of the central castle, and then Obsession had wrecked the place himself just before abdicating the throne.
And yet compared to those days, the Kingdom of Hollows was declawed. In fact, if it weren't for its current Queen, it'd have been so pitiful he wouldn't have even been able to laugh at it. Thankfully Hollows were nothing if not adaptive, and he knew that there was no real danger to them or the balance of the universe. At least, not yet.
Stone hallways slid past as he continued to scale the castle, taking his time and checking out the new seat of power for the Hollow kingdom. Not bad, but a touch on the shabby side by his tastes. Not fair to compare them to the structures that Beauty had come up with of course, although he couldn't quite help but think that even the library looked better. This was majestic in its own right of course but...well, the two simply didn't exist on the same level.
Which was, in itself, one of the reasons he was here.
Of course, there were others. One of which was clear as he caught a glimpse of Eve in the throne room. She was just finishing up with her duties for the day, and she wore the same dress that Takua had made for her just after she had become a Vaizard. Not bad work, if he did so himself...although it was more than a little worse for wear now. At least, he hadn't designed it with the rips and holes that it now sported. She'd probably gotten into a fight with it. As it was it was barely fit for her to wear in his opinion. Plus, he was a bit proud of that dress. It was the last he'd made as Takua, and now it looked like this?!
That would never do.
And so it was that when Eve retired for the day, returning to her chambers, that the door opened up into a rather unfamiliar room for her. A small clothing shop, filled to the brim with a variety of styles and colors, instead opened up in front of her. An instant later a presence shifted behind her...and Value stood by her side, holding the door open with a smile, “Good evening,” he said in a deep formal tone before the grin grew. He continued in a tone of mock apology, “I'm terribly sorry for the state of your dress, it's simply an affront to the reputation of my shop. Please, let me fix it for you.” His eyes twinkled as he paused, giving her a playful wink and letting her react to his sudden appearance before he spoke again in a more normal voice, “It's good to see you.”
