[ ON THE SURFACE ]
Physical Description: In his civilian garb most people wouldn’t think twice that Jacob I. Kalian was nothing more than a simple man walking by, a Wall Street mogul, or just a loving dad and husband. Curly black hair that’s combed backwards, thick framed black glasses, and a plethora of clothes that ranged from a simple black shirt and blue jeans to a full white suit with a black shirt with a red vest and tie. He even smells like fine colognes and cashmere, the very personification of “treat yo self!”.
In his battle garb however, the costume so to speak, Adimus faces a massive change in appearance, going from a man to a walking myth, clad in ancient yet high tech looking armor that doesn’t quite belong in this world, the plating being silvery white, the suit below it dark black with a red overcoat and detailing. Said armoring covers the shoulders, elbows, and lower arms as a second skeleton, and the knees and legs are covered similarly. Around his waist is a semi-decorative faulds, meant to be a flexible means to guard the vitals in the nether region.
His throat and neck are protected by a gorget and collar that loosens and hardens as needed, and his helmet is a visage of a faceless knight, the visor resembling that a capital T across the upper half, and a plate of molded metal along the lower half, connecting to the collar and gorget. His eyes and hair also change color, going from it's usual black and brown to silvery white hair, straight as opposed to curly, and his eyes shine gold, with swirls of silver when his powers are being used.
The black canvas that the plating rests on is actually of the same toughness and material as the plates, thanks to the way the Armatrix works, it’s just colored black and left open due to Adi’s fashion senses. Lame, I know.
Last but not least, a short, angular cape that falls just below the small of Adi’s back and lined with white fur along the collar adorns his back, and often forms the short wing-like constructs that allow him to fly.
Spiritual Description: Adimus' reiatsu glows and burns like a radiant sun, giving off an air of warmth and comfort to allies, but fire and wrath to enemies, which can inspire courage and ease in the former, with fear and loathing in the latter. The look itself resembles that of a swirling mass of gold fire and white lightning to those that see it while fighting against Adimus, and like the fine light of the divine to those that happen to be on his side.
[ BEHIND THE EYES ]
Personality: Adimus has a personality that can be described by some as difficult, by others more akin a big brother or even fatherly. His compassion is still quite great, especially for those whose circumstances remind him of his origins, and his tenacious nature ensures that he rarely stops trying to achieve his goals. That said however, should one manage to get on his bad side and earn his anger, you'll find that his ruthlessness and vindictive nature are as great as his immense compassion. Other than that, he excludes an air of confidence, something well earned with the list of achievements he has under his young, mortal belt. There are times however where that same confidence can turn into arrogance.
Goals & Achievements: Adimus wants to make up for lost time. He knows he can’t rebuild the Vigilance, but the KSN has most if not all of the old tenets he wanted to instill in people, and the goals of protecting human territory with human power remains true. He also however feels a war is on the horizon with all of the constant turmoil affect Soul Society and Earth, and can’t shake the feeling that somebody is going to make a move for the worse, thus Adimus also wants to get the Quincy and KSN back on the same page and working together strong enough to repel any invasion from Soul Society or even Hueco Mundo. Being ever paranoid, Adimus works behind the scenes as well as center stage to ensure this goal is met to the best of his ability, despite admiration of those who fought in the Invasion.
Lastly, and this is far more personal, is that Adimus feels guilty, and wants to make up to those who feel wronged by him, or even those who may have “missed out” on something thanks to him disappearing, thus he’s wanting to go around tying up his loose ends with people who were close to him.
[ GUARDIAN ANGEL ]
Weapon of Choice: Adimus doesn’t have “a single weapon”, since his baseline power/relic is an object capable of summoning a suit of armor that can create any weapon he can imagine, within reason of course. That said, he relies the most on a sword that can be on occasion wielded with a shield, and for long range fights, a semi-automatic, shoulder plate mounted “rifle” that fires his condensed energy in small, bullet like bursts.
Power: To be blunt, Adi's power is massive but amazingly simple, and kind both borrowed and homegrown. In short, he has a near parasitic symbiote feeding off of his energy to be active yet in turn grants him immense power and abilities, such as flight, grossly enhanced strength and speed, advanced spiritual abilities, and even the ability to simply not die when he should have awhile ago. The most notable of these abilities, i.e the one most seen and symbolic of him, is the suit of armor itself, as well as the weapons and appendages summoned by his relic.
The relic itself appears as a black sword hilt, almost like a cross, with silver wire wrapping and gold runes inlaid all over it. Once it binds itself to a host, the hilt can be summoned and dismissed at will, it's spirit particles being stored within the user and extremely difficult to remove. A brand also appears on the host's left hand, which is only visible when the relic is being summoned, and varies wildly from user to user.

Origin:
Many have asked where to begin a story such as one like this, and the answer a majority of the time is best suited as "At the beginning of course", and this one is no different.
Or I could lie and tell you that it is, because the beginning Adimus has isn't the proper one, but rather his parents are the best place to start, and not at their beginning, but rather their middle. You see, unlike most people who are born to two mundane parents who are Suzy Q the Secretary and John Smith the Officer Worker or Outdoor Guy, or people who were born out of wedlock in poverty or some such, Adimus was born as Jacob Isaac Kalian, the first and only child to Miguel Camacho Vasquez and Juliet A. Kalian, Crime Lord and DEA Agent respectively.
Yes, you read that correctly, Juliet was a DEA Agent that was part of a joint task force between them and the FBI that infiltrated Los Muertos, the crime syndicate that Miguel ran as co-pilot with along with an unknown aid, and as if it couldn't possibly get any more cliche as one might think, yes the two did manage to fall for each other, and of course Miguel had no idea that Juliet wasn't an undercover agent. Some shit huh?
Well, as you might expect, after a harsh betrayal when Juliet finally got what she needed to bring down the crime syndicate, Miguel didn't take it too lightly, and despite spending one passionate night together, Juliet was forced to go on the run once she found out that Miguel had evaded capture by the feds, seemingly as if by some weird twist of fate no less.
Either way, she had just went on the lam when she realized that the one night she had spent with Miguel, in a bit of a last romance type deal had left her with a bit of a parting gift, and while on the run she very nearly aborted our young hero multiple times, but for some reason decided not to. Lord only knows why, but I myself, the writer of this manuscript am quite glad she chose to keep him around.
Because of this though, she had a bit of a hard time maintaining what would be considered a proper education and parenting. Or rather, it's hard to raise a child when you're a single parent who is in the witness protection program and are having to constantly move because you're a single working parent and the guy chasing you is the enraged father who at this point might just have magical powers, but she managed.
Young Jacob lived a life full of love and happiness despite having a rather unorthodox education and learning how to street fight at an early age, but it was clear from the beginning that he was a type of genius in many ways and a gifted fighter of sorts, always getting into fights with bullies and the like, choosing as if by instinct to rush to fight and protect those lesser than himself against those greater than he.
Eventually Miguel would catch up to them one day much to the dismay of our hero, and in a series of unfortunate events spanning the shores of South Jersey to the city of Philadelphia, Miguel's men finally took out Juliet, and according to them, young Jacob as well. Thankfully however Jacob was made of some stern material, and his survival supposedly went under Miguel's radar, leaving Jacob to be left alone as he grew up.
Sadly, this also meant living in the "system", which any foster child will tell you is a damn nightmare for far too many children lost to the wild impulse of their parents and vicious, unforgiving savagery of people who would abuse the government for the sake of a paycheck. Jacob would spend one week with a family that tried to regular beat and abuse him in a multitude of ways, and after being "subdued" by the male of this foster family, Jacob had decided he had taken enough punishment for a lifetime, and as the male figure here tried to "persuade" our young protagonist with a theme more fitting for an adult, Jacob reminded the man, and his twisted family, what fear was, and after instilling that fear into them as a mere child of fourteen years old, Jacob ran away from the home, from the system, and left to roam the streets of Philadelphia on his own.
It would be in this time that he learned how to live on the streets, how to steal, how gangs worked, all of it. A single year spent living the hardest life imaginable, roaming from one spot to another, evading cops and gangs alike, and living off of the scraps of the more affluent to survive. One year spent in a hell of somebody else's making, and Jacob was nearing his end, he wouldn't be able to keep this up much longer, but thankfully he wouldn't have to, and near the end is where he met John.
John Li, John obviously not being his real name was a Chinese national who had become an American Citizen years ago and took up residence in the China Town segment of Philly, opening both a restaurant, dentist office, and martial arts school. The man was talented without a doubt, but after awhile he sold the office and let his wife run the restaurant, because his passion was the school, something which he dubbed a martial arts academy due to how many people attended and how he taught multiple styles in addition to his native Southern Style Arts of which John was a master. He was also a charitable soul, and when he saw our protagonist living on the streets, he would give the boy food and on cold nights, a place to sleep. As he did this, he began to instill a love and appreciation for the martial arts in the young man, and eventually Jacob asked if he could attend classes, and after some convincing on his part John decided to let him become a student, as well as to let him stay as a sort of live in servant, cleaning and maintaining the training halls in payment for living there. As Jacob learned the ways of war from the Ancient East, cleaning and living as a student would back in those days, John himself was using a more modern method in making sure that Jacob would always have a place to stay, and soon enough John would formally adopt Jacob as a ward of the state, turning John's little home and academy into a home for the lost and the young, and this is where our young hero would meet the last two of the three most important people in his life; His best friend Lou, and his truly best friend and future wife, Valerica (I'll spare you the sappy details).
It was also right around this time that the nickname Adimus came about, a tease at first from the neighboring Dominicans, starting as one word, morphing into another, and eventually it just kinda stuck, eventually becoming a badge of honor, as seen further down this tale.

It was also right around this time that the nickname Adimus came about, a tease at first from the neighboring Dominicans, starting as one word, morphing into another, and eventually it just kinda stuck, eventually becoming a badge of honor, as seen further down this tale.
Rise to Power:
Adimus always had the potential for spiritual greatness, but that doesn’t mean he could just pull it out all on his own. Sometimes life requires a catalyst, that one special thing to move all the other things along so all the important things fall into their proper place. For Adimus, this was to be the Armatrix.
For the sake of time and the easement of your eyes, this part of the tale shall be kept short, but the Armatrix itself, that history, albeit briefly told, is important to hear. You see, the item is a specially crafted spiritual construct made by a man who knew entirely too much about dangerous things. This man created the Armatrix built many of them, all as a means to empower humanity to do what he saw was take their rightful place at the center of the universe. What he didn’t take into account was the immense wrath and ire that his ambition would bring down on him, and not even from the other races, but himself; a wielder of the Armatrix had turned against him and his creations, and destroyed every last one of them, leaving only one behind, his, and thus he promptly buried himself with it and that was that.
Fast forward a few thousand years and you find that same relic, unearthed and dusted off, sitting pretty on a museum display, mistaken for just a regular old sword hilt missing it’s blade, and in that museum that same day we will find our hero walking along with his classmates, a tender headed young man eyeing the rump of the girl in front of him.
Sadly he wouldn’t be able to live out his adolescent fantasies for long, because as I stated earlier, Adimus always had the potential for spiritual greatness, and even though he couldn’t use his powers, that didn’t stop those who feed on his kind from hunting him.
The hollow that had spotted him was a younger one, more brash than anything else, worse when hungry, and despite there being so many people around it decided now was a better time than any to pounce it’s meal. In the ensuing chaos, the display that held the Armatrix was shattered, and during the scramble of a bunch of people running for their lives and Adimus seeing his first hollow, the weapon called out to him, finding within the young boy a potential master of it, and at some point, during all of the confusion and fire, the relic ended up in Adimus’ hands, and from there the rest is history.
The Armatrix dug itself into the boy’s hands, branding him as a user and forcing him into a symbiotic relationship; it would grant Adimus the power and knowledge to kill the monster in front of him, but in turn Adimus had to become it’s host, feeding it his spiritual energy.
Within the relic was an archive of information of it’s past users, combat data that would feed into the new user, and with this Adimus managed to summon a weapon and slay the hollow that had once tried to feast on him, all before succumbing to the immense rush of sudden power. When he awoke, it was Val and Lou that had stayed with him in the hospital, and had covered for him when people came to find out what the hell happened, and it would be them that stuck with him as he went from a simple teenager to a weapon of righteous vengeance.
Call to Action:
Adimus spent many a day from there on learning from archived knowledge of the Armatrix, eventually learning that others in history had wielded the relic as well, people like from folklore and history alike, such as Sir Roland The Paladin and Hattori Hanzo. From these he learned many things, as well as from Sifu Jon, and Adimus soon found himself crafted into a weapon of righteous vengeance, targeting street gangs and later organized crime mobs, bringing about their ends in what were usually violent ways, should any legal proceedings fall short. From an early age Adimus learned to take a life if the need called for it, and quickly he was able to shake any sentimental notions of piety in war. When a life had to end and there was no other means to save it, that was that, he had done all he could and was now forced to take the only option left.
Later on, he would find himself traveling the world, working several odd jobs as he plied his "trade" in local areas, thus spreading the myth that was Adimus around, as well as growing his powers ever more, even joining up with a private security firm and rising quickly through it's ranks thanks to his abilities. However, all good things come to an end, and Adimus was called back home when Jon was diagnosed with cancer, dying soon after. It was around this time that Adi and Val gave in to their love for each other, and around the same time they married, they also welcomed their daughter Veronica into the world. Eventually Val would end up moving to Japan thanks to the start-up she founded, her wealth and power consolidating at an alarming rate, and Adimus, being a family man as well as a Superhero, followed suit, now setting up shop in Karakura Town, a good of place as any thanks to the sudden up-spike in spiritualist crime, thus we found our hero in a soon to be legendary city.
