Kidou Club
Do you love a good Kidou spell? Are you always striving to come up with new applications for a sometimes tedious text-book art? Do you fall asleep thinking up different ways to utilize the Demon Arts? Do you love to learn and experiment on cutting edge topics with like-minded people?
Calling all Kidou enthusiasts. The Kidou Club is a club spanning all divisions and ranks that gets together to share ideas, questions, advice, research, practicums and to go on Kidou themed adventures. When interest is high and we get enough funding we will go on field trips, including such places as book-hunting in the Human World, spell-testing in the Third's practice Courtyard, Kidou-only sparring competitions, lessons on Kaidou at the Hospital, Technology and your Kidou with the Fourth, and spell-work in the Dangai
Tea and cookies provided!
Due to Hanabi's hectic schedule in the fourth squad's duty, she's unable to continue with her role as a president of the Kidou club. To avoid seeing this club fall in ruins, I've taken it upon myself to take over the club as Acting Kidou Club president and Treasury. The club was originally located in Third Division, Left Wing Room 333, but it is now located in Shini-Sec's Right Wing Room 009 (class-room) of Fourth Division - one of few buildings that the Fourth Squad Captain has kindly offered us for the club.
As a Treasury of the Kidou Club. I've ensured that the club finance will be enough to partake in a trip in Rukongai and in the process of pending a trip to Earth. If we are unable to acquire a trip to Earth due to restrictions from Captain Commander and all Division Captains of Gotei Five, a trip equivalent to Earth and with less restriction will be replaced.
Those who partake in the previous Kidou meeting will receive a letter to meeting at our new location at dusk and new comers are also invited. Before entering the Shini-sec buildings, please write your name at your entrance and a tag to confirm that you're here for the Kidou Club. Although this particular building does not fall under the restricted access but we do wish to keep track of our visitors.
I look forward in seeing you there.

[Letters 15/09/17]
A Letter sent out to those who were in the last Kidou Club and to Hanabi. (Kasumi was excluded)
Hello, it has been a while?
First and foremost, I would like to apologise for the gap between our last meeting and this letter. Fourth squad and Personal issues has stopped me from spending small portion of my time focusing on Kidou Club. I will stress that Kidou Club has not been abandoned – do not take these rumours at heart, they are false.
From our last meeting. I’ve gathered enough information from each and one of you and with this information, I have decided that for this course, I will be splitting the club into groups. The reason for this is to avoid creating delay and, of course, another is that it would make the group easier to bond. As they say: Too many cooks boil the broth.
These group will have different role and instructions and depending on how well you commit to these roles will determine the outcome of an event that will takes place in two months’ time and, of course, there will be deadline and failure to do so will not net you a reward. I assure you. I’ve “cashed” in a few favours to pull strings for this reward – do not let me down.
Do not fret. I may have come across as disheartening – that’s not my intention. A well-earned success will net you valuable experience and a start of a reputation of a skilled Kidouist. Not to mention the fine reward for your hard work and success!
These are the teams:
Red: Blue:
Shinsei Madarame Tachi Omoki
Li Yingfeng Murat Pasha
Zabel Kohara Malix
If the coloured team motif is not to your liking, it is acceptable to change the title of your team, your role that which you’re instructed to do, cannot. I cannot stress you all to co-operate as a team. If there any grievances or unfairness. Don’t hesitate to contact me. If not, I assure you, I will be kept informed one way or another. Also, I will accept transfer, but only if there’s a reasonable cause for doing so.
Here is your task:
[ this paragraph is only shown on red trio’s letter]
There will be an event to commemorate the end of Fall and the birth of Winter. Your role as a team is to provide a visual story of your choice with Hado as your source. You can use any methods that Hado demon arts can provide you to deliver this story, but I have one clear rule: It must not harm anyone, not even those involved. You will be conducting this show to an audience but it is up to you to provide yourself as an actor or remain in the background. This is all about delivering Hado in its wondrous and creative form! I look forward to your show.
In short: You are to provide a story using non-destructive form of Hado.
[end]
[This paragraph is only shown on blue trio’s letter]
There will be an event to commemorate the end of Fall and the birth of Winter. Your role as a team is to design and erect a barrier large enough to cover a small area where the festival will take place. The inner part of the barrier must have a backdrop of a fall scenery. How immersive it is up to you. This may be a difficult task, but I have confidence that you are up to the task. However, if you feel – as a team – are unable to do so. Inform me and I will provide you another task, do not assume that this will be a failure. It is a tough task.
In short: You are to provide a Bakudo barrier with a backdrop of a fall scenery for the event.
[end]
P.S: You can collaborate with one another to improve the immersion, but they cannot help one another with the task.
I am willing to give you three months to complete this. Where would I be? Why trying to drum up more interest for the Kidou club, of course!
- Kohara Moriya.
