Priscilla Ferreira - Arrancar
// a beautiful curtain call❞
❝isn't this what you wanted? why are you crying?❞
tears and pink marigold dreams
Age/Apparent Age: 229/27
Height & Weight: 168cm/5’6’’, 52kg/114 lbs
Eye & Hair Colour: Red eyes and rosé tinted hair
Birthday: August 5, 1787
Ethnicity: Italian
Loyalites: She is loyal to her vision of a militaristic world of Hollow. Whether or not this vision includes Las Noches remains to be seen. Pacifism has no place in a realm where power should always reign supreme. A weak King or Queen is never to be tolerated.
Snapshots: Born in Rome, Italy (1787); spends her lifetime battling an eating disorder while trying to maintain status as a ballerina until death (1814); stasis as a Hollow employing various means of survival before breaking her mask (1914); begins to take Control into her own hands going around Hueco Mundo perfecting her Influence (2000); prepares to make a stake in the Hollow world, finally ready to make her presence known in Las Noches (2017)
General Appearance:
Statuesque may not seem like a fitting term to describe Priscilla, perhaps attributed to someone less frail looking. She bears the burden of overcoming a thin build, something that is usually mistaken for as weak. Yet despite being categorically underweight for someone of her stature, Priscilla still carries herself with regality and poise. Conditioned to stand with her back straight, head held up high, along with piercing red eyes, Priscilla is imposing in her own right. Long hair reaching well past down her back is usually left free flowing adorning a face that is almost always unsmiling. Expressions of ‘delight’ seem only to be rendered from snarky sneers or mocking smirks. Fittingly, Priscilla’s voice is husky and low, spoken in tones of severity and gravity. Her mask juts out slightly halfway from the left side of her forehead and is usually hidden from view covered by bangs.
Reiatsu:
Much like the color of blood, Priscilla’s Reiatsu is a deep red. Far from gentle, it whips around violently only becoming more furious and uncontrollable with the ebb and flow of feelings such as rage and disgust. Oftentimes the aura from her Reiatsu alone is enough to induce fear whether latent or not into hearts of others. It very clearly and accurately reflects the type of character she is.
for the girl struggling in-between
Personality:
≻Positive: proud, confident, merciless
≻Negative: insecure, image-oriented, ill-tempered
Priscilla is a proud species. She is proud of her confidence, proud of what she believes in, and you are either with her or you aren’t. There is no in-between. She is willing to cut people out of her life as necessity deems it because no matter how hurtful the loss may be, the gain will always be greater in the end. However, pride is not without downfall as the history of hubris has proven. With a chip on her shoulder, Priscilla is also insecure at the same time. A yearning for respect at times tramples over the controlled and calculated image with which she wants to be perceived. She can become volatile and impatient, none of which is behavior that she herself tolerates.
Goals:
She has seen her own share of kingdoms rise and fall with the latest legacies of Las Noches some of the weakest in the history of Hollow. Admittedly, there is an aspect of Seireitei that Priscilla admires in that it continues to spawn powerful Shinigami efficient enough of leading and protecting. While she does not aspire to copy its blueprint—after all, such a foundation would fail spectacularly in Las Noches—Priscilla does want her own realm to become not only as capable but more. Hollow should instill fear and dominate and it is about time for Shinigami to remember why.
the sun is made to turn around
Aspect of Death: Control—Priscilla’s human life spiraled out of control because she lacked discipline and willpower. She could not achieve what she wanted because of such weakness. A ballerina must adhere to a strict regimen both onstage and off in terms of diet, practice, and image. As such, Priscilla was unable to effect any of this. In death, however, even the anarchy in her life is planned. If even one detail does not go according to plan, she will immediately correct it. If she must go about rebuilding the Hollow world by herself, she will do so as a means of control.
Power: Very simply, Priscilla’s power is influence. Whether it is a word or an object, she can exert her power to affect the will of another. Devoid of flair or brilliance, the very nature of her power is rooted in practicality. Tactically different than mind control, it is applied in a decision-influencing sort of way as a means to make someone more inclined to do something. But as such, Priscilla hates using her power because it means she is not respected enough on her own.
Zanpakuto: Contrary to typical Zanpakuto, Priscilla wields what appear to be double .45 ACP’s. There is no physical ammo, ammunition primarily comprised of Bala and Cero as fitted for an Arrancar. Different than a manmade pistol, their material is composed of a crystallized bone but its functionality is no less dangerous as a gun is to man.
dance elegantly in a perfect diamond
Origin:
She was poised for greatness, subtle in its power as a ballerina, but given almost all the right toolsets; and perhaps Grace should have been her name. Yet she was born Priscilla Ferreira in the great capital of Roma, Italy. She was pristine in her breeding coming from a long lineage of ballerinas, her mother, her mother’s mother—you get the point. Her father was very much a military man—military and politics, that sort of thing. He was rarely home and time was oft spent with her mother instead, now retired and a teacher at the local ballet academy. From pointed toes to delicate hands and every expression, she could always feel up until the last note of the music rushing through her veins.
Yes, dance was in her blood and yet, yet she lacked discipline. That hunger, the need to eat—not as a Hollow but as a human—always haunted her. She couldn’t concentrate on practice if she felt hungry but she couldn’t eat in spite of practice. Such was the rigid lifestyle of someone who always needed to be within a certain weight range and body type. It was a damning life that led Priscilla to binge eating and then shame would lead to bulimia and this vicious cycle eventually led to her untimely demise, a gruesome death that burned through the esophagus.
Time of death: August 7, 1814, just a few days after her 27th birthday and with it came the imminent fall of classical ballet too.
Rise to Power:
But the hunger did not relent in death. In fact, it only became stronger, its will manifesting into a force of its own. It could not be staved off and demanded to be sated. She was a small Hollow, often seen as easy prey. Continuous attacks from larger Hollow came in droves but each one shaved away at her soul until it became a diamond from the rough, smooth yet potent.
As a means of protection, Priscilla learned to pledge allegiance to various Arrancar throughout her years of wandering. From each, she observed their skill, their power—what made them so different? They were both Hollow breed; why was one so much more revered than the other? Eventually, she observed the difference in masks and for the first time, decided to take control in her own hands. No longer would she pledge loyalty to anyone but herself. No longer would she be the hunted, but the hunter and finally, the broken mask resulted in her transformation to an Arrancar.
With her newly found powers in tow, Priscilla quickly set off to perfect them. But it ate away at her a little bit every time she used them. Her humanoid figure was just as her human’s was, thin and frail-looking. It was not a visage that demanded respect but in spite of this, she spent the next several decades commanding small droves of Hollow armies using her Influence. Each time after, she’d exterminate them leaving not a trail. After all, these were only experiments, practice for the real thing when that time came.
Call to Action:
Naturally, Las Noches was the next stop. The Kings and Queens of the past had all fallen: Tova, Amaya, Erasmus, Evelynn, each one perhaps more of a failure than the last. The Hollow realm was given a blank state, weakened, but able to finally start anew and if Priscilla had any say in shaping its future, it would be shaped in her vision. Some would clamor for power, reaching for the throne as they thought fit but none was set in stone with the void of power currently set in the capital. As for Priscilla herself she need not become Queen if the Hollow world could finally rule as ordained. With the in-fighting amongst Seireitei, now more than ever was the perfect time to fill that power chasm.
But just how many would have a place in Priscilla’s plan will remain to be seen. Ready, set, control.
