Distorted static pierced the silence of the lonely desert. From a single point drew a long, black line that warped the horizon along it. As if being forcibly pulled upwards, the line was yanked opened to reveal a blackened maw that dripped an unholy black ooze. The grime and filth of the world between worlds lasted no more than a second in reality before fizzling out into nothingness. From the abyssal portal came an unnatural hiss that announced the user's presence just moments before a pale leg stepped through.
The woman who had forced her way between worlds appeared from the warp hole with nothing more than a baffled look to prove her awareness of where she was. Once her hair had flitted through the opening, the jaws of the garganta snapped shut and the thin line sucked inward until nothing remained of it.
Her head craned up a little and then little more. A little more yet. Her eyes kept going up and up and up until finally they hit the end of the walls before her. She stared at the large... thing that stood alert at the top of the walls. The barrel of the thing was lazily tilted downwards, a wide mouth yawning in her direction.
A... Canon? She thought to herself as her and the weapon had a staring contest.
Finally, she blinked. Her chin snapped downwards to more relaxed position and she reached out with a careless hand. Knuckles towards the wall, but fingers not curled inward enough to make a fist, she tapped a quick tune against the material. It stood firmly in the way of her strength, but hummed ever so slightly, as if hollow inside. She gave it another tap, this time noting how she could just barely make out the reflection of her white skin in the black material once she was close enough.
Glass walls? She pinched her eyebrows and grimaced.
She leaned back on her heels to get one more good look at the fortress before her and then set off. Her light steps followed the perimeter of the wall until she found herself greeted by the sight of a rather imposing looking door. It was tall, decorated with elaborate markings, and seemed to be made of similar material as the wall, though a shade lighter.
With more purpose than last time, she knocked on the door in a quick, steady pace. This went on for a minute and a half, it seemed, before someone finally swung the doors open. She remained with her fist in the air, a dull look on her face, even well after the door had reached the end of its swing and revealed the Arrancar on the other side.
She stared at the man with red, bemused eyes that chased his stare wherever it went. Finally, she dropped her arm to her side, looked passed his shoulders, and then looked back at him. Her hands swiped to the side, open palms gesturing to the area around her.
"The fuck is this?" Said the thoroughly confused woman in a voice laced with disgust.
The woman turned at her waist to the left and then to the right, arms still out stretched, and then leaned towards him ever so slightly. Her chin snapped to the left and she raised her eyebrows expectantly.
