Her footprints were dusted away by the straight winds the moment her foot lifted from the uneven ground. Each step was a battle up this particular hill, with the sand fighting against her and refusing to give her the traction she needed. A nearby sidewalk taunted her with the thought of a much easier travel, but something about it felt so wrong to her.
Finally, she ascended the small hill and found herself staring down yet another door, though this time from within the walls of La Colonia.
To her left and right were the insides of the walls that had original drew her attention to this little... oasis out in the desert. The stale air within the blocked off community burned against the charred-looking glass. This gave it the effect of smoke rising from it, warping the shape the normally straight structure into something more akin to that of an abstract painting. She gave the amusing effect a moment of consideration before she resumed her trek towards the wall.
Well, to be more accurate, she was heading to a tower of sorts that was built into the wall. Mimicking Las Noches, there was one such tower in ever cardinal direction, serving as watch towers of sorts instead of homes for the swords defending the colony. Within, she had heard, was a curious case of a Shinigami abandoned by the Seireitei. Much like her curiosity with that of the Quincy to the north, the Shinigami of the east was worth, at the very least, a passing comment.
So, she marched up to the door with a purpose, her black dress gracefully flowing behind her like smoke following a flame, and then looked around. To the left of the door was a singular window with various shadows painting images of someone living there. Instead of knocking on the door, the woman went to the window and then tapped her fingers against it.
From within, someone moved to look at her.
She stared at them with a flat expression and then tapped her fingers against the window with a bit more force.
The shadow approached and took for the form a boyish looking person that was missing the trademark signs of being an Arrancar.
The woman tapped a few more times on the glass once the boy stopped approaching.
"Shinigami?" The woman barked through the glass and then tapped with more force. "Open up!"
