His actions were clearly deliberate, no point trying to reason with him. These clear single line of thought after a swift and sudden takedown of the hostile Quincy was striking. That, young pale faced, blonde haired, hazel eyed Quincy took a step too far in the eyes of Seireitei, even in the eyes of the gray haired Shinigami who had settled as the role of preserver of balance. It began with a sudden vanish of a hollow reiastu, popped like a bubble bursting by an eager child. Then another, and another, they all popped. He knew they were vanquished but not naturally…
They were shattered, erased.
His movement was swift, fleeting. He carried his legs as fast as he could to halt the perpetrator from committing further unnatural acts. This is akin to vigilante, but only grave. Moriya knew that even fighting against the hollow, he was given an opportunity to ‘save’ the hollows from eternal suffering.
Who could live a life without humanity? He never found another person to say, ‘I can’. Even if he did, the fourth division member could only respond with cautious and dis-truthful glances. The quincy had his eye on the lone hollow who despaired over the violently departed pack members, but a glare was the only thing that the Quincy could ever do to it. It was Moriya’s blade that met the blackened flesh of the hollow, reducing it into flames. Purified of the pain of their past and rise anew.
He did not have time to pay respect for the passing for bigger issues lies ahead of him. A flick of his right hand with his index and middle bound together to point at the clueless Quincy, tracing the air with a perfect triangle.
“Bakudo Thirty Shitotsu Sansen,” A trace of luminant yellow glow follows, producing a thick beak at the edge of the three angles, lashing out at a striking speed. It was enough, enough for the beak to latch onto his wrist, sending him flying back far enough till the wall of densely graffiti stood in his way. A blessing Moriya thought, for if the old relic from the cold war wasn’t there, he would be flung further back as there’s a wide no man land behind it. The bakudo held in place, forever pushing the Immoral quincy against the wall, but not destructive enough for portion of wall to fell.
With a relaxed sigh, he lowered his posture. It had been the first time he used Bakudo in anger, and especially against ones non hollow.
With a brief glance of his captive, he began to wonder why the Quincy attacks on the hollows are on the rise. Do they care about the consequences of the balance? The more he thinks of it, he couldn’t help but scrunch his face. The intensity in the air was unsettling for Moriya, was it just him that he’s feeling it? It reminds him of being in the den of hardened criminals, all waiting to have a piece of him. He ‘tsked’. Just a reminder made him want to leave Berlin…and fast.
“Anji, I’ve captured a Quincy. Found him slaying a few hollow or two. Get me permission to escort him to fourth division.” He was cool, his calm demeanour was striking, but he couldn’t help but feel omnibus. He felt he was not alone, like there a pair of eyes looming doing onto him. How soon is it for the mother bird to swoop down to save her brood?
“Do it quick. I am not convinced that I am alone.” With those words, his life as a Shinigami will forever change.
